- Somehow my rear wheel came loose. i was fortunate enough to get down to 5 mph before it destroyed the quarter panel or sent a tire out into traffic.
The repair was easy enough but it was 100 plus with the heat index. It is a good thing to have good friends close by.

Close call. Had the same thing happen on my 76 Corvette Stingray. Drivers side rear. 3 studs broke off. 1 stud was missing the lug nut. The other stud had its lug nut still on. Thankfully. It would have torn up that fiberglass body pretty bad

It gets pulled to far away shows with a chevy because I grew up with a chevy certified sae mechanic for a dad, and we have never had bad luck with Chevy Trucks. All of them have their flaws, tho.
