I did this after 20 days, at minus 24, the resin was completely frozen, and there were water balls inside. But there is a trick so that the ice balls do not touch the walls of the formwork.
A different take on the ice in resin. Love experiments and wondering what will happen. I liked the way the sides looked like broken glass on an aquarium. Maybe a derelict aquarium?
An interesting resin creation experiment though the ice has melted you get a fun effect on the resin. I wonder what will happen if you sandwiched the ice with different liquids like oil and soap with resin in the middle. That would be worth finding out. Lots of love and blessings.
After you pour the resin in, put the whole thing back in the freezer to let it cure. It will take a couple of weeks but it will set and the ice won't melt. You can use the freezer technique on really big pours to prevent it boiling.
You and Ben seem to be inspiring each other. I've seen him shout you out as well. It seems that the water is keeping the resin from setting completely. No matter, you are finding all the ways that a project fails. With enough experiments, you will find the right way to do it.
😊😊😊 I love this, has so manny thinks you can do...like a diorama with a boat, or fishs, or even just the ocean....j'adore. Do Brasil 🇧🇷 São Paulo, agradeço a sua mãe por ter te colocado no mundo! Deus te abençoe. 😊
Although it failed, I enjoyed the process🤗🤗. Question though, for the resin that uses two parts, it uses heat to cure it? Would using the UV resin work?🤔
Так и думал, что лёд растает и получится полная фигня. Возможно, если подержать форму в холоде подольше, месяц к примеру, смола застынет. Но для этого нужно держать ее не в -20, а где-то при -4 градусов.
I really like when you, Ben and Nick do the beautiful projects you guys do, but I really enjoy the experiments whether they turn out or not they are just fun to watch. 👍👍👍 Do you think it would work with UV resin, fill it and then put it right under the light?
Hello there and friendly greetings! Hey, speaking of water... Have you ever considered 3d printing a scuba diver that is swimming down a coral reef wall? If there is someone able to do such thing it is you for sure! 😊 Have a great weekend and thank you for all your work!
Buen esperimento, a veces hay que esperimentar cosas para poder hacer creaciones hermosas, como a quedado tu trabajo me recuerda o a una piscina o acuario avandonado y viejo, para halloween podria salirte algo chulo, buen trabajo❤
Well you did the best you could so well done and I still like it. It’s like a fish tank that broke and the waters falling out but without fish 🐠. Anyways nice going on that resin art 🖼️ and keep up the great work you’re doing. And also see you next Friday you rock 😁👍🪨.
I mean what did you expect to happen. Using regular resin was a big NO. Resin produces heat while curing hence the melting. There was a reason the guy in the original video used UV resin 😊
@@jedrek29t - When I had excess silicone left, I froze it; a few days after defrosting, the silicone worked - like new. And then I forgot the glass for 20 days, took it out, the silicone completely froze as if in the room. Then the idea came, with a water ball, one in the middle of the silicone, the edges of the mold, the bottom and walls, the silicone had already begun to harden, then the frozen ball, and the void with a new portion of resin, immediately into the freezer. SO THEY DID 40 YEARS AGO, IN THE RESIN - GLYCERIN AND GOLD DUST.
Hi ! As a long time subscriber, I still love your videos man ! What about trying in a bunch of UV resin ? Would that work ? Would it trap ice long enough to keep the shape and cure ? I wonder... Keep up the amazing stuff ;-)
The Lets Resin link for the silicone mold is not the same that you use. What brand name do you use? I have the Lets Resin one. You use one that is blue and one that is pink. Lets resin is 1:1. Please let me know the brand name one in this video.
I saw. A guy in Australia try the same thing and it didn't turn out too good for him. But I think you could figure out A. Way to make it look like it worked. By using resin. Instead of ice
@@jedrek29t :( Sry to hear that. I reported that video. Tell me if you want to do something to this thief, I can send you the link to his fake channel.

Pero ver el proceso de creación aún así merece un me gusta en el vídeo y un comentario. Unfortunately it failed. But seeing the creation process is still worth a like on the video and a comment.
I wonder, and this is coming from someone that doesn't know much about resin. Would it work if you poured the resin, then put it in the freezer? Obviously the issue is the ice melting when the resin heats up while setting.
I didn't watch what Ben makes because it looks like it could lead us some disaster and I knew that you make could bring some mass art not beautiful so Better luck next time!

I love with passion this channel. I think it was from the first that I've ever subscribed to, so I could say it makes me a little bit nostalgic
Cool thanks
What if you put fewer ice balls, then let the resin to fully harden. Drain the water and fill the spherical voids with another color..? Could work…
Resin always melts the ice

Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much 😀
looks like a cool way to make a water (or maybe ooze, if it's neon green) pool/base for a diorama!
Cool idea
The music is beautiful. Good choice 💜
Thanks
Coat each cube with uv epoxy first. Then the water will be contained. When the ice melts, the epoxy can warm up and cue.
Great point!
Definitely different and a neat experiment!
Thanks
I like that you experiment and share that with us.
Thanks Vickie
You and Ben’s Work are very creative and I love that you are willing to experiment. What would happen if you used dry ice?
Now that is really cool
Water, oil, doesn’t mix with resin ❤ nice demonstration
Yes! Thank you!
Ben, from Ben's Worx, tried this with a bag of ice.
Exactly
Brilliant try Jedrek
I figured this would happen as I’ve seen Ben’s video before as well, but still a cool experiment!!!
❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks
Although it failed, I enjoyed the process🤗🤗. Question though, for the resin that uses two parts, it uses heat to cure it? Would using the UV resin work?🤔
I think that's how Ben got it to work in the end, quick cure with UV then let the ice melt.
I think UV resin could work well
'Will it resin?' Sounds like it should be on GMM 😂
Oh no,😢. Nice experiment. It still looks cool! Kinda reminds me of the ocean ones you do😊

I wonder if it would be possible to find a way to encase a liquid inside of resin.

yay! the return of the red hardener!!!
atleast the resin now looks like its real ice :P

What about the UV resin? Would it harden around the ice without ruining the reaction?
I have to try
Next time, try the fast curing epoxy resin. That might work and dont put it in the freeze after you pour.

Didn't you just take it out of the freezer too soon?
Not sure if the resin would fully cure in there though
The resin was there for several days. I don't think it will cure in such cold weather
next time with UV resin ?

It turned out that resin in the freezer does not harden
that was a shame, so the thermal reaction melted the ice and it just pooled.
Unfortunately
