Just seeing the Classic Nemesis his shirt off combined with the tentacles makes me actually wanna fight the devs. I don't know why they didn't bring that into the remake that would have easily topped Mr. X and intensified that stalker factor more. Man if we had Classic Nemesis stalk you for half the game then the stage 2 tentacle version for the ladder half that alone would have practically printed money. They had the right idea just very poor execution. I hope we see another take one day, but done right.
The classic one looks olmost perfect a little bit of texturing and slight body change and it will be the perfect design make him follow you tru the game add the clock tower whit all the puzzles bring back the grave yard park and I forgot the name of the last location the weird garage one olso add and change two of the fights the first one being the dog nemesis battle change it to the original design and Mack it follow you into the tower after the tower watch as he mutates into dog Nemo and the regular fight in the game starts the next dog Nemesis fight should look more like a cross between the dog nemesis and the final form of the original in other words half dog Hal perasite and the final form just like the last one make it look more like a parasite and that’s it the only other smaller changes would be more rocket launcher nemesis and giant worm boss fight in the cemetery and lastly brain suckers maybe before or after the drain daimos
The devs were dumb and lazy and they did stupid shit on purpose because they wanted to attack the fans. Look at how they acted with the RE2 remake where they gave MrX a hat for lulz and then when promising fans to bring give players a chance to have Claire wear her original clothes, they did pissed on fans twice... first they gave us a shitty version that missed the whole point of the original clothes, changing them (how is it the original clothes if you change the design?) and then for extra measure, much like with Nemesis here they allowed fans to download the original skins for the original game. But playing PS1 graphics in a PS4/5 game just looks ridiculous.

It's like this criticism is "diferent - bad". Theres good criticism, and this. Wtf is this, RE2 cut a lot of stuff too, but kept some from the original, like RE3 did. People are just ungreatfull. The length is almost the same. RE2 has 2 campaigns, thats why it seems longer. I completed both within 7 - 8 hours.
Classic is perfection. I apreciate the Remake one but the classic design is so iconic,it has been everywhere for 20 years, games,movies,comics/mangas/art,it just feels wrong to change it all of the sudden.

Yeah that's where I was pissed about Nemesis second form. They just skipped to his third form but with some modifications. Also if they had the clock tower added. I bet Nemesis Original second form in where he has tentacles instead of being on four legs Already he would've been more terrifying. Also there would've been much more potential if they could've used if there was a clock tower section. Just this game had some wasted potential.
I feel like this game could have been fixed almost entirely by one single change; Have the jill segment be one big piece, meaning the train crashes and you then go to the little tunnel area and then the bossfight, and then have the one big carlos piece, being the police station and then going to get Jill. She's at the clocktower when she blacks out, there could have easily been a small section where Carlos had to get through the building to get to her, sort of like the way they repurposed the sewer bit of RE2. Now if we really want to stretch we could push for other scrapped concepts to be in this section, maybe some enemies returning in the building such as more drain deimos, or the spiders (since they were in the clock tower in the original), but regardless of how much we push that it would have added a much-needed extra half hour or so of content the game was depressingly lacking. Maybe you beat up a big scary worm on your way to the clocktower like the Umbrella Chronicles version of the fight man I don't know, I just wish this game felt finished. It really, really does not.

Classic is best, no competition. It takes the original model and improves upon it to modern standards. The remake makes a lot of unnecessary changes, it’s almost like it was edited so it wouldn’t be copyright infringement lmao
I like the new one’s face more (the nose is a little strange) but the original has a better outfit. Edit: One change I do like to modern Nemesis, though, is him also using a flamethrower. I think that’s just a cool weapon for him to use other than the rocket launcher. The only other time I can think of when he used another weapon was in the second RE movie where he had a Gatling gun.
I absolutely hate how Nemesis can grab a missile launched at him when he wasn't even looking, but somehow let's the second one hit him dead center while he was staring straight at it

I honestly like the remakes design for two reasons. 1:I always believed that the Nemesis was still once a human being, and you can still see what human remains are left in the creatures existance via the head, it looks less yellow and Frankenstein, and even has the skin tone done just bright enough to look like a humans but one that has probably been dead for a good while, even has the facial features like the ears and nose still on the skull. 2:The outfit itself is still what the original is supposed to be, “A Restraint” but the nemesis isn’t some basic tyrant like the T-003, a simple suit won’t cut it, and so the multiple straps that are wrapped all over the body are a clear sign that Umbrella has to seriously worry about making this B.O.W. Actually work while in hopes of completing its mission, possibly be retrieved and reprogrammed for future purposes. Ofcourse that being said all the warning signs on the straps really do implement the feeling that this….”Thing” is something that contained yes, but barley. And 3: The Snoz😂

I personally prefer the new Nemesis. Like, yeah, classic is iconic, but the new one looks more like he was fucked up by the Nemesis parasite than the original. The old one looks more like a Frankenstein amalgamation that just so happens to also have a parasite, rather than a Mr. X who was turned into what he is now BY the parasite. The new one's nose and lips call back to the fact that he was once just another Mr. X.

The classic nemesis would have been the best rout capcom should have gone the remake version of nemesis seems like a different monster it doesn’t feel like nemesis.
To honest, I would prefer they kept the classic one because he's the most suitable model for Nemesis. His design is not too simple but not too messy at the same time, and by messy is how they try to make him look scary but ended up failing. And just by classic presence give the right ominous feelings to the players that makes you feel you want to avoid him irl. Some villainous characters doesn't need to be designed with much complex because simpler design but with bits of touch ups can send them players straight to hell so my heart goes to classic one all the way.
What makes the new nemesis fail was he’s less appearances and the 4 legs transformation (all transformation to be honest) that fixed more to Birkin on RE2 . MRX was way scarier cause we can’t dodge so we had to run and he’s foot step sounds makes it way intense.
Mikhail in both Resident Evil 3 old 1999 and 2020 RE3 remake are great death scenes rest in peace Mikhail Victor. How about Carlos Nicholai and Mikhail get different mods seeing themselves in old U.B.C.S uniforms and classic faces.

@Chloe Contestable there is a ton of story exploration they could have “revisited” like the nemesis origins, obviously the missing locations with some new twists or even just making nemesis scary AF Instead of a cutscene whore. I realize people would always end up complaining about things and yes, I’d buy the original over this any day.

Damn, the classic one has some damn nice work on it, tought this clearly showcases that the original Nemesis design didn't fit much with the Remake, but something like classic shirtless Nemesis should have been in, expecially as the second boss fight

I personally prefer the new Nemesis. Like, yeah, classic is iconic, but the new one looks more like he was fucked up by the Nemesis parasite than the original. The old one looks more like a Frankenstein amalgamation that just so happens to also have a parasite, rather than a Mr. X who was turned into what he is now BY the parasite. The new one's nose and lips call back to the fact that he was once just another Mr. X.

Idk why people hate too much the official remake design, sure i love the classic too, but jeez hating so much on remake nemesis just because he has a nose (wich is barely visible) long teeth (wich make him look even more scary) and the clothes (the nemesis in the new cannon is not a finished product or even mass produced so that's why they thought nemesis having a trench coat wouldnt make sense)
I’m right, the 2 thing that bothers me was that the game happens so fast and Carlos classic hair . They should have added the classic costume too not only his hair. And his messy hair 😒 -7

The problem is that if designs were in the opposite ones, the remake version that is now the classic would have been how the original is now, the original design as the new design for the remake would have not been liked by some people? Why? Brainless nostalgia that judges as new=bad regardless how actually good is
Classic just looks so much creepier to me. He looks malicious and sadistic. The remake one just looks kind of miffed.

The classic nemesis would have been the best rout capcom should have gone the remake version of nemesis seems like a different monster it doesn’t feel like nemesis.
I think the ideal combo would be the coat of the original, the quality of the classic, and the face of the REmake.
To honest, I would prefer they kept the classic one because he's the most suitable model for Nemesis. His design is not too simple but not too messy at the same time, and by messy is how they try to make him look scary but ended up failing. And just by classic presence give the right ominous feelings to the players that makes you feel you want to avoid him irl. Some villainous characters doesn't need to be designed with much complex because simpler design but with bits of touch ups can send them players straight to hell so my heart goes to classic one all the way.
What makes the new nemesis fail was he’s less appearances and the 4 legs transformation (all transformation to be honest) that fixed more to Birkin on RE2 . MRX was way scarier cause we can’t dodge so we had to run and he’s foot step sounds makes it way intense.

@Chloe Contestable there is a ton of story exploration they could have “revisited” like the nemesis origins, obviously the missing locations with some new twists or even just making nemesis scary AF Instead of a cutscene whore. I realize people would always end up complaining about things and yes, I’d buy the original over this any day.
