      Liquid Fox General but that’s the point. He isn’t wrestling cause of his father and the horrible things Chris did. But imagine if Chris hadn’t of murdered his wife and son, david would of had his chance to wrestle, like davey boy Smith Jr did. He might have done well or not, we will never know. Or if he wasn’t benoits son, if he was another Canadian he could have attempted to wrestle . Would he have succeeded? We likely will never know.

    what makes your interviews so great, Chris, is you let the guest be themselves. It's like you're hanging with them not interviewing them. So many interviewers are boring or don't do their research or just try to provoke, but you have a conversation. awesome.

    Lucha Underground was awesome. I didn't know it ended. I stopped watching when I stopped getting the El Rey channel. I was a fan of King Cuerno and Mil Muertes. They had great matches.

    Vampiro is a straight realist and so sincere in his own way. I remember watching him since he wrestled in Mexico as El Vampiro Canadiense!! Was one of my favorites along with the original La Parka who later went on to WCW!! As always you are a great interviewer Chris ; )

    Vampiro was so cool to me in WCW. As a horror fan and a metalhead I thought he was just the coolest wrestler at the time. Even watched WSX just because of him.

Then I heard Konnan and Disco saying the same thing.... and THEN I heard him say he went from taking 700 opiate painkillers a month to taking zero the moment someone introduced him to weed... He is lying. Then you listen to all of these rambling stories. He appears to be that one friend who makes shit up for no reason.

It's easy to decipher the truth in his stories. Some stories he tells that sound Riddiculous are true if you do your home work but yeah no one goes from full fledged addict to clean in a day. It takes time. Dude is probably low key loopy to he has had alot rough matches in Mexico and even in the states. All In all he still entertains me and I think people getting worked up about an obvious truth stretcher is rather silly

    I am trying very hard to find the positivity in my life that this man has. With similar problems including a stroke, major depression and paranoia, problems maintaining relationships, finding a reason to live, this interview gave me a lot to think about.     Chris, as usual an amazing interview. In addition, all the interviews I've seen with Ian (Vampiro) are great. Dude tells it like it is and always will. Hard to believe he's suffering from Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Bless the Mighty Vampiro.

    I remember a story he told about how Jericho laughed and gave him shit for having a rock band on the side before he was doing his whole Fozzy thing. That would be enough for me to dislike someone in the same situation so I can understand him not liking Jericho, even if just for the hypocrisy. I think it would definitely be a must see match if it ever does happen.

      I loved Vamp in the ring and think he's very cool. Seems like he's been through a lot both mentally and physically and went off the rails in some spots.
      I'm a fan, but he's negative in a lot of ways, let alone saying Chris sent people to his Gofundme, then told him to go fuck himself LOL. He's just all over the place.

    He has such a positive and amazing outlook on life. Even though he forgets a lot, he uses that as an advantage to experience life again like it was new and his first time.

    Lucha Underground was amazing. Aztec Warfare matches is my favorite match type. Belts were amazing , talent was amazing , crowd was amazing. Damn shame

    I started out not wanting to see this video because quite frankly, I’ve never been the biggest fan of Vampiro.
    But the next thing I know, I’m sitting at the very end of this video, still watching, with a newfound respect and admiration for Vampiro as a person, and understanding even more why I’m a fan of Chris Van Vliet’s interviews.
    His vibe as a solid dude and fan who really has a genuine, humble interest in and love towards the wrestling industry, seems to come across to the people he interviews, getting them to open up and make the interview that much more honest and engaging.
    Yet another really good interview, making me yet more of a fan of your work bro.

    I remember watching vamprio wrestle in Mexico and on tv in the early 90's and when he came to wcw in the late 90's in the 2000s i was like holy shit! I wanted more. Vampiro should of be a big player in the world of wrestling.

    Always been a fan of Vampiro after this interview I’m even a bigger fan, I myself have had a very similar journey as he is on I’m a single dad of 3 amazing kids I’ve had a stroke I was dying and I’ve brought myself back with hard work and determination great story Vampiro keep going and thanks Chris

    thnx for the interview chris, i've been looking everywhere for updates on vampiro and only a few mexican channels have shown anything. he was a great wrestler in wcw and just in general, so i was shocked when no one was interviewing after his time past or even his illness. he could of gone further in his career but they never gave him the chance. either way i enjoyed watching him and he looked fucking cool with his braids and paint.

    I love his positive attitude. I'm disabled myself, I have an aggressive form of Glaucoma and I try to keep the same positive, pull yourself up by your bootstraps attitude. Of course things will get worse, but I'm not gonna waste my time crying abt it when I can make the most if what I have and find the silver lining.

    Man, I love Vampiro! He's always kept it real in every interview I've seen. His run in WCW when he was rolling with the guys from the Misfits was such a highlight for me. Glad he's clean, and taking care of himself.

    Lucha Underground was the only wrestling company that I would watch from beginning to end. Great matches. Great storylines. With WWE, I fast forward through a lot of crap. Now, I'm enjoying AEW.

    The single best interview I've seen on this channel by far. I miss Lucha Underground so much, especially Vampiro. I truly hope he beats Alzheimer's and I truly hope he gets his match with Jericho on my now favorite promotion AEW. Great job Chris and miss you on Cleveland tv.

    It was kinda heart breaking yet incredible & inspiring to hear Vamp talk about his Alzheimer's. His outlook on something so incredibly hard is awesome & enlightening. But our knowledge of that illness & our experiences of it with other family members, & knowing that it starts off bad & ends up worse...it makes it hard to hear about for me. But I'd much rather it be harder for me than it is for his him. Thank you for everything, Vamp. & thank you Chris

    Vampiro vs Pentagon in Lucha Underground was a match i'll remember forever. I was 14 at the time and that reveal they did after the match was one of the rare surreal out of body experience that I've ever had again till the undertaker lost his streak. I had true goosebumbs that day and it made me fall in love with wrestling like never before. Thank you Vampiro because you're one of the reasons I fell in love with wrestling.

      I'm not the biggest Pentagon fan, but that stupid walk and glove thing is his gimmick. It's exactly the same as when Road Dogg did the shimmy walk and goofy punches, and nobody cared. It popped the crowd, and that's why Pentagon does it.
