Sometimes they stare at me from different corners of the room and sometimes they sit on a pillow together both staring at me side by side.

He had the looks and bounciness of a Lab with the intelligence of a Border Collie. A lethal combination. His grandma was a rescued feral dog- that probably accounted for a lot! :)

@@MajahDancer I thought that after I commented. I know Jack Russells are good at catching rats and various other breeds too as you say. Both my dogs have been staffie crosses and useless at hunting! Like these 2, they just stalk other dogs, then play with them! 😄
My Lab has follow through, but the prey can fly. Our German Shepherd puppy is determined to catch one of the monarch butterflies. 😂 Lil goes after the crows. My first Lab co-hunted rodents with her cat. She also perfected crab de-clawing when we lived on the gulf. She’d catch them by a claw, and fling them until both claws were gone.

Depends on the breed. Our terriers do that and they follow through. Ask a few mice, voles, squirrels and the groundhog...
