  • Let's continue working on all the small things that need attention all around the map, including bolstering our lemonade storage so we can free up water for other tasks.

If you want to avoid to have to pause the pumps every time, you could place most of them along the straight channel by the washing machine, and put a dam up stream, at the end of the bend. During a drought, the pump will have access to the water store in the channel, but will not pump where the rice is. In addition, since you have a long straight shore, you can be more efficient with the pump/pump-upgrade setup.
Keep up the good work!! JB

I’m unsure of the ultimate goal behind the double dam, but you could blow up the rice area to make more room for lotuses. Sounds easier and quicker than raising everything by one.
Also, no complete disasters this episode! Awesome.

For your PLANK supply...You need Crude Sawblades for the Sawmill (as far as I could see at the end of the episode you had none in stock). In the time between now and when you get the water cannon maybe a second Lido on the other side of the rice pond? 👍👍 welcome back

22:44 you don't have to have the tank, they will take it from the barrels when need but anyway it's a good idea to have a bunch stored ahead, the balloons are HUGE methane consumers

When unshortening the water pump straw, you can just untick the limit box to stop limiting straw length instead of clicking several times to raise the limit to max.

I had wondered if that would work, but figured the manual adjustment was a more idiot-proof solution. We can try that next time!

9:42 there is a column of ruins RIGHT of the stairs, that could be accessed if you build an additional side platform ( it's above a storage ) ... If that path becomes too long put a scavenger flag on a side platform ‼️😁

  • @TheCaptainbeefylog

Where the main path comes uphill from the town to the large farm area - continuing that path with some stairs and platforms would have you on the ridge and mining/harvesting scrap.

Really enjoying the gurgling sound effects when you describe the experience of the washing machine. Makes that thing even funnier than it already is. Edit: I didn't hear the music on the washing machine until you mentioned it at the end. That whole contraption is simply a masterpiece.

    nice video as always !😊
one thing to be wary off : beaver cannot drink only lemonade, they also need regular water so don't convert too much of your storage to that.
second thing is that you can't really place dams on top of buildings, or rather even if you manage to, that will cause the buildings under it to be flooded (because water is not 3D yet in this game version) so the solution to make your dam taller is to keep stacking buildings until you reach the small elevated area (or you can dynamite it down a couple of levels) on which you can place a dam.
And don't forget that pumps can be placed on top of other buildings and are watertight, so basically the last 2 levels of your dam can be an entire row of pumps + upgrades =)
for the rest i think you're too low on sawdust, you probably should revert some mushroom growers to the slow reciepe. you don't need the white paper tent anymore since you have the mechanized paper mill operationnal, and as usual, you should get on building that medium mine. it will need your attention at 4-5 separate times so you can still work on your water cannon at the same time.
speaking of which, the water flow there is pretty low so you may need multiple wheels, but the engine + battery + smart power mod could also make a nice solution.

→ I think the industrial piles actually don't have more capacity than the normal large piles, they are just stackable. So by replacing two large log piles by two industrial piles you didn't improve the log storage at all. Add another one on top, with a staircase to reach it.
29:47 And here I has hoping you would start to increase the depth of this reservoir by increasing the wall height, i.e. putting the pumps higher, on top of other buildings. The deep water pumps have longer straws, you can put them higher up.
→ When your river is empty, it's a good idea to start loweing the straws of all the pumps so you don't forget, and they start immediately when the water is coming back.
→ Your primitive smelters got rid of all the iron ore. Do you still have a mine mining it? Maybe add another one. (You can use the area where you got rid of the ruins by adding some overhang platforms for the path. These use metal fasteners, though.

Can't raise the height of the pumps without something solid/waterproof underneath. And that means more beavers...

Eventually, when you don't want to be fiddling with water pumps so much, look into the powered ground water pumps. So long as you have power, you have water (or bad water, if you want it). Works really well through long bad tides since they stay powered, and droughts are no different other than the pumps automatically shut down rather than you having to manually shut them down. 6.25 water per hour and they work through the night so they are quite a bit more efficient than even the deep water pumps, and can be put anywhere where you got any kind of power to get water there.

Love the series JC :D hehe your idea of putting food near the... fun machine... is a good idea... Place more small storages for food / lemonaid around for beavers so they don't have to travel all the way to get some ;)

5:50 You could make a path through the brambles off of the one leading to your bad water collectors to get to the large deposits of metal above your mining area. Might even be able to path through the metal so you could place dynamite from up top and blast an easier way down.

be careful deepening the area with the lotus as i think the farms you have can only support being under a set amount of water.

hej jc. this is not for efficiency of the game but more of you. when you have a draught. instead of moving nozzle up and down all the times. why dont you just set the limit to 0 on all you pumps. and then when ever there is waterflow you just uncheck the limit icon and all the nozzles should go to the full extend of what they can do. this way you dont have to click a million times to extend and retract the nozzles. also this way you just have to select the pumps and check/uncheck box and move on. save that pour mouse of yours some clicking.

  • @MusingsMuses
    @MusingsMuses Месяц назад

I think you might wanna move your water cannon a couple blocks closer to the pond than where you were thinking cuz it looks like the canon would just barely reach and most of the water shot would miss. You could make your rice pit bigger so it'd catch more of thrown water. Either/or, you'd have to make more dynamite either way.
