I was there for several weeks in the fall of 2023. Chongqing is large by both land area and population. But, to me, the city's real charm is the blend of the mountain ridges, winding rivers, city vides, old and new, and the very spectacular infrastructures.
Yeah, Chongqing is an amazing place - I love it! The claim to it being the most populated city is a bit misleading though - considering that it's a municipality the same size as Austria and the vast majority of its population lives in rural areas.
It is National Day and there are a lot of people. Unlike the Spring Festival, when everyone goes home, there are fewer people on the streets and it is quieter.
Loved!!!!!!!!! Your video, you actually gave a tour without rushing and talking fast. I really enjoyed 😉 everything you described. And I subscribed to your channel. Which I will highly recommend to all my friends. Smile 😃 😊
This comment was the friendliest one I've read all day! Thank you for the kind words, subbing to the channel, and sharing my video! So glad you're here!
I stayed in Chongqing for three days. I was depressed by the time I left. The only good option of spicy food, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everyday. It was also impossible to bike in the city.
Jesus. Is this during the golden week? I have been to Chongqing twice but avoided that place because it looks tourist trapsy. The old town area is pretty nice though. There's a temple there looking down to a pretty awesome view of the city.
with China, it feels to me, if its 2 years ago then the memory cache needs an update generally. it might not be the fix to the bug that you cared about the most but the update is very frequent for sure. like i don't understand why its still and even more crowded given the high speed railway and a lot more affordable flights, is telepathy the final solution? something changes, some don't. 🤷🏻♂️
@@radiosparrow851 this area is always packed, it has nothing to do with HSR or airplane. As a matter of fact, HSR made it even more packed as more people can get here.
ChongQing the biggest city in the world, because it's really big and super crowded... so many peopl (i believe it also the most populated city in the world?)
Jaydee is correct - it depends on how you are defining 'city'. Chongqing is a municipality the size of Austria and the vast majority of its population lives in rural areas. When you factor this in, it's the biggest 'city', but when thinking of a city, this is not what most people are thinking about. According to conventional standards, Chongqing would rank somewhere around number 15 in terms of 'biggest cities'.
Funny when you walked up to the fruit vendor girl speaking mandarin and she responds with the typical weird hello. You were speaking Chinese. why doesn't she respond in Chinese? I get that often, and my opinion is it is a form of xenophobia. See a foreign face, must respond hello, even if they cannot speak English. No way a foreigner speaking Chinese can actually understand Chinese.
@@jgdyt your Wokeness is starting to kicking in ⁉️. 😂 Seriously 😂 Hello, is used pretty much around the world in tourist areas ⁉️ especially if you're white. Wake up 😴😴😴
😂 your Wokeness is starting to kick in . Hello is pretty universal, especially in tourist areas in Asia. Are you xenophobic ⁉️ you sure like that word a lot.
@@minhloi4536 You apparently don't know what 'wokeness' means. This is not related to anything woke. And there's a difference between an 'authentic' hello and an 'inauthentic' hello. You probably wouldn't get it.

You are too brave to go to Chongqing during the national holidays.I would never travel during public holidays in China.😂

Sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience there! I do appreciate you watching the video! Stay blessed my friend.
One of the things I don't miss about living there, the crowds. That being said, it does look like there is a lot to see.
All the light shows, certainly impressive
Did you during a national holiday boy that is crowded! Or was it just the weekend?
That looks pretty cool.
That guy definitely had the John Travolta swag.
💯😎
Nice! I went there once. xxx
Did you have a good trip there?
Sichuan Plateau girls are famous....
You should visit wilong and there is some cave openair with buddha sculpture and also the hotspring man
Would love to! Maybe next time! Sadly I just didn't have enough time to do all the stuff I wanted to do!
Its National day. Join the the crowds.

It is, as I understand it, the largest by administrative area, but looking strictly at “urban cores” I think Tokyo is larger.
Still impressive.
Any city over 20 million people is impressive!

Great, thanks.

worlds biggest city, bigger than Hong Kong
Be careful mate, lots of shills in Chongqing!

Haha, nah... I took a pass. Maybe next time (but probably not...) 🤪
