This screenplay was brilliant, dense, and complex.. it should have won the Oscar over "The Usual Suspects. It would have been Oliver Stones *second* Oscar for writing a screenplay.
He's using an old school Sanford King Size Permanent Marker to cross out the redactions. The ones with the aluminum case, and smelly ink. They don't make them anymore. I have one left I got from my grandmothers house after she died in '08. Still works too! I don't know why i fixate on details like that, but it is what it is.

It reminds me of the scene on the bridge with the lawyer John Dean when hunt says 'Nixon is the darkness reaching out for the darkness'. I now understand President Nixon's beautiful complexity. He was a great man. As all of our Presidents have been great man. Some of them did terrible things..yes...but GREAT
