WOW! YOU'RE REALLY GOING IN HARDCORE WITH THE POSITIVE VIBES!!!!! I'M GOING TO GO THRU MY ETSY STORE AND REALLY EVALUATE WHAT'S GOING ON... AND EITHER DELETE AND CHANGE THEM KEYWORDS AS YOU SUGGESTED!!! BIG UPZ ON EVERYTHING YOU'VE BEEN DOING!
Hey Jerred, thanks for another great & inspirational video on Etsy. I've been wondering for a few years now if I wanted to take my photography to a business, but shied away from it because I'd heard that once you do that, the photography becomes 10% of what you do, and the other 90% is the drudgery of running a business -- not appealing. I love photography, I've done it for many years, and I don't need to make a living with it, but it would be nice to get something for my images -- even if just recognition by people who enjoy my style of photography -- while still thoroughly enjoying the art, no drudgery. Your video gives me a way that looks reasonable and practical to do just that! Thank you!
Thanks so much, David! I agree - what I make on Etsy isn't life changing, but it's fun and totally worth the time to do it. I just sold three pieces in the last week... and all I have to do is ship the prints and I get some gas money for more photo trips. WIN!
Thanks for this! I was doing the maths on print & etsy costs and wondering how I can make any profit. But you are right and it's a good idea to keep in mind my customer. Might be having to be more patient and experiment with tags etc before heavily discounting. As you say people are programmed to expect prints for cheap. Perhaps there is a need to really emphasise the originality and uniqueness of our work on our listings.
YES! That is a great perspective. Emphasizing the unique and valuable content that someone won't find anywhere else is a BIG deal, right? I love the way you put it.
Hi Jerred! Thank you for sharing this. There is any site that can handle the printing and shipping for you? I found this the most difficult and time consuming, when handle it myself. Thanks.
Hi Jerred! Yes, I have one question about Ets'y or Squarespace and all these sites. Let's say you want to sell an image you did. So how does work the payment? After somebody buy your product (image) they recive a JPEG file on the mail, or you have to PRINT on your own the image like (or be in actuall physical possesion already and ready to ship to someone)? I am confused. Because stocks like Adobe are.. simply in work - you sell a license and don't even care what is happening next, but like Squarespace and Et'sy work like actuall physical print yes? So it has to be printed on luster paper or matte paper and then send on somebody adress? Could you explain this process?
Hello! Yes, Etsy has that function - you can just choose a "digital item" and include your file that way without having to worry about anything physical!

Hi Jerred, I have a question! My country is not in country's drop list. is there any solution?
Oh boy…I’m not sure about that one. Do you have any local printers who might want to print and ship for you?
Is there a way to turn my photos into digital so that the customer can print them? And eliminate shipping?
