    I love how it makes my BRAIN feel! I only needed to lose 10 lbs or so but I don’t even care about that part.
    This brain part & better sleep in the evening is fantastic!

      @melissal3383 I’m most interested in brain health.Can you tell me more about what improved?

    • @melissal3383

      @@KittyLivinginNYC long answer…. I never had food or snack issues during the day, so I’m not sure how others might be affected. But I eat a healthy meal W Protein around noon & am COMPLETELY satisfied. No desire for a sweet afterwards. We do NOT keep sweets or sugar foods in the house. I think a person will still eat bad if surrounded by unhealthy food even with this drug.
      If I’m at a gathering w overabundance of food, there is pretty much ZERO temptation.
      I have to remind myself to drink during the day. Otherwise thirsty in the evening. The injection wears off a bit by day 6ish. So I practice eating better. I KNOW when I discontinue this peptide, I need solid habits in place. I often wait 8-9 days between injections. The needle is tiny. Inject into thigh took away heartburn.
      was good before… like I said. Just 10 lbs. but I’m very small, so the 10 lbs for me is like 25 lbs for a regular man. Or 15-17 lbs for a woman.
      If I slightly overeat, my stomach is uncomfortable for longer. Like 12-18 hours.
      The peptide MUST help key metabolic systems. In the past, I’ve eaten less for weeks (w protein) and would struggle to lose 1-2 pounds. It just feels much more natural. Like I posted earlier. The same as when I was younger. Like a teenager
      I’d recommend trying it. You can always stop after a few weeks.
      People who LOVE to cook or love their family to death with “cooking a lot” will probably not enjoy this. If their life is centered around big meals & trying recipes, I’d think, they’d dislike how it changes their thinking. Hope this helps.
      You will also spend less on food because not much will interest you. Therefore, the drug costs is relatively “cheap”. A person buys less food. I used to eat meat. Now I cannot stomach it. So it’s fish or chicken thighs.

    I wish that I could just eat less. I tried it but I had such horrible hunger pains. It’s nice with semi you don’t feel hungry and no hunger pains. You don’t really have craving and when you do you take a few bites and you’re satisfied.

    Thanks for making it so my endocrinologist has to throw my treatment plan for DIABETES in the toilet because Doctors are misprecribing these drugs that all but one of are NOT for weight loss, but for Diabetes. Diabetics can not get our drugs because they are being mis-prescribed by physicians like you. I have had a normal A1c for a year, but who knows when I finally run out. Thanks again for screwing up my treatment plan.

      We live in a free country, I am a diabetic and have difficulty getting my Mounjaro. The issue I am told is the pen, not the medication. The pen manufacturer cannot keep up. Once these drugs were approved for weight loss -- then watch out!! The FDA approved them, so they are the ones to blame.

      We (spouse) buy it from a compounding pharmacy. We are NOT affecting YOUR ability to get the drugs from Novo Nordisk or Lilly….
      Many insurance companies are NO longer covering it bcz so many diabetics are demanding it ! There’s your culprit …. The OTHET diabetics.
      In fact Eli Lilly keeps trying to take the compounding pharmacies to COURT! And they are losing.. bcz Big Pharma cannot keep up w demand

      @@rodneysessions7463 The drug I am on, Trulicity has never been approved for weight loss. It’s being prescribed “off label” and that is what has created the shortage, not a shortage of plastic pens.

    I’m concerned about the muscle loss that happens with this medication. It’s also a life long medication. Once you stop the weight comes back and where is the muscle? Seriously concerning. Especially at midlife. We need muscle!

      @drsusan  8 месяцев назад +4

      Yes, the above comment is accurate. We only see muscle loss if we starve ourselves and don't eat protein and lift weights so that's exactly what we were talking about in this video. If you listen to it all the way through you will see that is a risk that we can eliminate with close management

      You're so right! The industry is pushing these drugs so hard but there are very serious side effects!! Not to mention this is not a long term solution. Anything to make money off of patients they'll push. The medical industry as a whole. The weight comes right back too. Alot of patients experience severe intestinal issues, uncontrollable vomiting, paralysis of the intestines, etc. I know someone personally & I've read countless testimonials from patients.

      I get mine from my chiropractor. She has a MD she works with so I trust that it’s a reputable compound pharmacy since doctors use them for other type of medications also. So see if any chiropractors in your area that’s selling it.

    • @drsusan
      @drsusan  9 месяцев назад +2

      Rybelsus is the oral form of Semaglutide. We did talk about this one and explain it in the video) It does not work as well as the injection form because the oral form is enzymatically broken down in the GI tract.

    Why is it that people who have thyroid cancer and their family cannot take this medicine

    • @drsusan
      @drsusan  9 месяцев назад

      This is because early on there was concern in animal studies that there was increased risk of that type of thyroid tumor; however, Semaglutide use in Randomized Control Trials and real-world studies was not associated with an increased risk of any types of cancer, and this conclusion is supported by a high grade of evidence!

    • @melissal3383

      If you are still looking there are a few compounding pharmacies. Brightmeds plus Dr Henry & others
      They do virtual visits
      And it’s a tiny Botox needle. Not painful. Just be VERY careful drawing up the compound. It’s just a small, very small amount in the syringe. Your first dose you should only fill a small amount of the syringe. Like half of a fingernail
      Still cut your carbs. Eat protein. Get lots of walking in.
      Inject at night to lessen any side effects. Sometimes the meds correct sleep schedule if yours has shifted too late. Side bonus
