    Thanks for this, Craig, it was inspirational to see just how use of some filters could transform the creative opportunities.

    Great video and beautiful shots! Seen many of Craig's works (of art!) and this video doesn't disappoint!

    I wish the 105mm CPLs clipped in that readily with the 100mm Lee system. I wonder why they don't come up with an improved clip system for the bigger format.
    Very interesting presentation Craig. Thanks again.

    Great video. Not only does it really show off your products, but also shows the benefits of using filters. I've been doing a lot of filter research lately (How it works, what it does, which to buy, etc.) and this video really demonstrates it well. Just wanted to say thanks and expect to sell some filters to me soon.

    That handheld shot, with the car passing by, turned out pretty sharp. nice

    Thanks Craig for a super well explained video on how to use these filters. I have just bought the starter kit. What messenger bag are you using the 150 or 250. Cheers keep up the good work. Really enjoy your vlogs

    I have several filters within this Seven5 system. But is this system being discontinued and replaced for a new system?

    Really can't understand why photographers don't use filters for every kind of photography!! Brilliant vid! I'm gonna look into this for my film cameras :-) Thank you :-)

    Surprised the Lee Filters app for calculating exposure wasn't thrown in there too but instead the exposure card was used ;)

    I have a small set of 100mm for my full frame cameras and I'm glad I also got the Seven5 for my Fujifilm X100S :)

    Are filters worth it to not being able to use lens hood?

    Wouldn’t it be easier to expose for the highlights, recompose and bring up the shadows in post?

    • @AndrewBenbow
      @AndrewBenbow 7 лет назад

      Yes but you could lose detail in those shadows, they may be too dark to recover. Any recovery you do will introduce noise - this might not be an issue if you like or want that effect.
      Using the filters gives you options, you'll start with the best exposure you can get for the highlights and the shadows and then you can edit it to suit your tastes. If the highlights are blown or the shadows are unrecoverable then you are limiting your options. Again, if you end up with the result your envisaged when you took the photo then none of that matters :)

    1 Important question.. I buy the best quality glass, lenses costing a £1000 or more for optimum quality, then compromise it by
    sticking these lumps of glass (or plastic) in front of the lens.. whats the sense in that ???

      I think that is why you don't go cheap and you purchase high end filters like in this video. The kit costs around $600..
