    Seems pretty reasonable for a Boss '9

    The price is good if not great. But if you plan to restore it to its original form it might cause a challenge! But that's okay I guess 'cause the price on this car in time, will only go in one direction and that's up! Center caps on the wheels are different on this BOSS9. A lot of the original parts are missing like you've mentioned already. So overall it's an acceptable deal. Cool video mate! Cheers!

    P.S. The buyer got two engines for the price, it's a jackpot! Wow lucky guy! I guess it was an Easter egg for the winner because the original engine wasn't presented during the auction!

      Yes I thought this was a relative bargain, all things considered. Thanks for watching Pete!

      +Rarerat And many others too, they really aren't much on the street but it is cool to see those massive valve covers under there.

    With a little work Rich, bringing it back with original components will it bring the big money then?

      +Rusty “rustyglovebox” Glovebox I noticed after the fact, not sure why it wasn't presented when the car was sold, that the original numbers matching motor also came with the car. If all of the hard to find Boss '9 goodies were there then yes all day long this is a 250 to300k car.

    nice car, too bad they could not have restored it correctly.

    The question is can it be brought back to original form for under $225K? That "only" gives you $50K to bring it back and how much will the missing parts cost and then the touch-up afterwards to the fit and finish? Nice car, but a little rich for my blood.

      +The Shade Tree Fix-it Man Great question George, and the original motor was also sold to accompany the car. The current motor is a built Kaase motor which is 30k all by itself. So yes this is a play for the guys with deep pockets but there is money to be made on this deal still.

      Leave out the engine, what about the rest of the parts. Like the wheel's center caps? Is there a difference in the magnum 500s for the BOSS9 or does the BOSS9 share the same magnum set found on the rest of the 69s? Please let me know. Thanks.

    Is the block a Clevo based unit with Hemi heads.?..I heard the 429's were rare so how rare is a cammer.?

    • @MustangConnection1
      @MustangConnection1  8 лет назад

      +ZIGgassedUP Not a Cleveland but called the "Lima" based motor, it is a "semi-hemi" and was only put in the Mustang in 69-70 and only 850 or so in 69 and 500 in 70 for Nascar homo-ligation here in the states. The cammers were basically crate engines and never factory installed in any production cars. Both rare today but there is a growing reproduction market.

    Values (and horsepower) aside, I think the Acapulco '67 GT350 in the background is the more attractive machine. Any info on that one Rich?

      @MustangConnection1  8 лет назад

      +Burnedtoastify For some reason there is nothing on the Mecum site about that car and I don't recall filming it so sorry nothing on that one. Might have been a replica.

    That is a bargain....wonder if someone stripped off the real parts and swapped with some repops.

    • @MustangConnection1
      @MustangConnection1  8 лет назад +1

      +Rudderify Actually that is a Kaase motor in there and the original also came with the sale. So boom the best of both worlds and a def deal at 175.
