Yes we did! We need their children, to step up where they left off. Many times not by choice. Remember listening to Grand Ole-Oprey & Cousin Jimmy C. before we had tv.
Loretta really was a living legend. She never forgot where she came from. Loretta will always be the queen of country music. She was not only a great singer but Loretta was a great song writer who wrote songs about real life. Rest in peace beautiful Loretta. You will always be loved and missed so much ❤

That beautiful angel has gone home now.. We a losing to many of the real deals way to fast . But man, the reunion up there in that heavenly place .. She with her Husband, her babies her mom & dad . Her best friend Patsy and Conway. I truly cried the day she passed, as a fan I don't cry when someone passes just a awww that's so sad . But when I seen Ms. Loretta left to go home, I truly cried. Sleep in peace and wake up in Heavenly Grace sweet woman.
Amazing performer. So unaffected by what she has accomplished! She is sweet and kind to everyone. You can see her thanking the person handing out the awards. So many people just grab the award and ignore that person. She will always be a legend!

My Pappaw couldn't stand Barbara Mandrel. He hated her lobbying for seat belt laws in Tennessee. In 1990, in his Nissan Sentra, he was rear-ended by mack truck. He was badly bruised across his torso. He threw a blood clot to his brain from the internal bleeding caused by the seat belt. He suffered for a month and died in the hospital. He was the love of my life. I'm 42 now and I still cry for him. I firmly believe to this day that seat belts should be a personal choice, like many other things they've learned to make money from. To be honest, Barbara had just been through a serious car crash and the people voted for her. She was distant to win this also. Just the years got switched around due to Barbara’s accident!

Almost since then we haven't heard a word from Barbara Mandrel. She was wonderful I wish we heard more from Her and Her sisters. They were the wonderful. That Barbra was a living legend before Loretta.... Loretta should be presenting this award Barbara. Just guessing, but I'd bet that Barbara thought the same.
