- Are you considering visiting Hobart Tasmania? Tasmania is Australia's southern most state and also home to some of the lushest forest in all of Australia. In this episode from Hobart we walk around the city center and explore the waterfront as well as some of the street markets and festivals. If you choose to visit Hobart, I feel as though you can see much of the city in 48 hours and if you choose to explore Tasmania itself you will likely need a car and over a week to see this beautiful Australian state.

I was born in Hobart and moved to South Africa when I was 18 months and have never returned to Tasmania. Thank you for allowing me to see the town I was born in - virtually. Would love to return some day.

I have visited Hobart a few times, there was great restaurant on the pier called, “The ball and chain” I believe. I hope to make back down there someday, seems every time I have been there the weather was perfect. I recommend doing a forest preserve tour, it was awesome.

The market isn’t really in Salamanca square, it’s more on Salamanca Parade where there are hundreds of shops from the Antarctic research centre to the back of the Parliament House.
It seems Hobart is different from other part of Australia in climate. Your video is superb.

I visited Tasmania back in 96 with intentions of staying 2 weeks - and ended up staying just over 12 - loads of things to do/see - Island is stunning - so much free space and wildlife - walking/beaches - and the people are wonderful.

We stayed at Red Awning Appartments, close to Salamanca which makes for easy walk to down town.

I love Tasmania I lived there for 25 years there is plenty to do if you love to trek or own a mountain bike or are very creative it is truly beautiful and the food is fantastic wild life is wonderful , nice in Winter to travel snow capped mountains and great coastal drives I miss Tassie 💜🐿️

Went there in 2010, it was one of the best holidays ive done so far. I met a special friend there too.

Doing really well. Hard boarder between Tas and Oz, also same between Oz and the rest of the world. Had one person from Ruby Princess ship and lost 25% of hospitals. Now okay. Watching everyone else and sending heartfelt good wishes and love.

Thats not true. Bridgwater and Clarendon vale are bogan and that may happen but Chigwell and Risdon vale arent. Plus cops do go thre because its their job.
