Great Video Jon, you've actually helped me understand Ownhammer stuff alot more, and saved me frustration with having too many options, not knowing where to settle, and just going with it (like Oh-1 files!) thankyou!
After buying a lot of IRs, today I can undoubtedly say that Ownhammer is the best, mainly on stage and rehearsal. Ive tried a lot, many of them sound good in headphone or monitor. However, the Owhhammer in special GNR and Friedman 412 sound great in all situation. I am using the Helix Stomp.
Anyone here have trouble using any IR's as stock??? Instead of finding a sound I enjoy I spend hours tweaking the low muddy bass out using the parametric eq in the front and the back on the Pod Go. I find there's too much flubby low end often and not enough definition. Real amps for me and other software has had a better work flow for me, rather than sorting through 100's of IR's for the perfect sound. one of the best IR's I found was a free one from Ola Englund, a little bit of low end roll of and was better than any others I've tried.
Hmmm, my gtr tracks sound dull with these IRs -Fender with Invader humbucker - Amp ENGL Rockmaster 20 - into Focusrite 2i2 - Studio One 4 - I have to eq the hell outta it to make it sound half decent
Sonic Drive Studio well it‘s the power soak of the rockmaster, it has an unbalanced line out and that goes right into the focusrite. Could That Power soak kill the high frequencies?

That's really odd. Is your guitar going straight into the amp? What loadbox are you using?
