    Sounds awesome i have to buy these ir but do these ir are better than the heavy hitters for exemple i mean more evolve? Can i ask how you record your guitar signal here ? Audio interface ?Di box ? Reamp box? Because i dont get how you get such full signal ,the fact is that i always get a thin harsh treble fizz with the heavy hitters ir i dont know why ... Would glad to have some help to find the way to sound like this video Thanks by advance and great job !

    Just bought them.. Sonically very good but i preferred the scheme of the previous pack where in the mix options you knew where mix used and in which positions.. It was very good for reproduce perfectly a certain combination and also to learn how the sound is affected by changing mics and position placement. So at the end for example which multi options is the best to achieve john petrucci tone in the mesa 4x12 pack? Fabio

    Hi brother, what was the chain workflow to record the track (I believe its a dry one) in order to then process it? I can notice that you have done the same process for all the tracks on all the vids so then you can try different amps, modelers and IRs easily. Cool channel

  • @m0rtenDK

    Great video! I have a question, do you EQ the tone further after you chosen your cab? Or is it the "final" shaping of the time before moving on in a mix.

    • @SonicDriveStudio

      No eq!

      @@SonicDriveStudio Alright. Thanks for your reply. I'm new in the world of IR's and i've been thinking a lot about the paradox with; "more options, more confusion" or something like that. Do you think with IR's is more easier to find a tone you like instead of spending a lot of time EQ to get the desired results for example? Sorry for my english, it's not my native language.

    • @SonicDriveStudio
      @SonicDriveStudio  5 лет назад +1

      @@m0rtenDK I think it's much easier. Especially once you find your favorite mixes or mics. Once you have those it's just a matter of loading those for each cab speaker combo you purchase. No need to do endless searching if you don't want to.

    Hi Jon, pardon the ignorance but what is the diff between the mono and truestereo IRs? i use IRs with a Line 6 HX Stomp and my output is stereo direct to a mixer. So i use the stereo IRs?

    • @SonicDriveStudio
      @SonicDriveStudio  5 лет назад

      HX Stomp does not support stereo IRs. There will be an update to the (r)Evolution IRs soon with separate L and R files and you will be able to use those. For now I would stick with the mono files.

    • @crisevens7238
      @crisevens7238 5 лет назад

      Hi ! You can use stereo irs in HX EDIT following the steps in this video ... ruclips.net/video/2mFpFS7f0MQ/видео.html ...compared to mono irs the sound difference is small but i think it is worth it.

    • @ka_non
      @ka_non 4 года назад

      i think that the stereo IR has a little bit delay between channels (that are panned L and R) and some mics changes in each channel. this is good for post processing in a DAW if you dont use stereo delay pedals or efects in your record. If you are using delays and stereo mode in your record, you dont need to delay it again.... it´s correct??

    • @DavideChiarello

      If you use an IR loader that can load different IRs at the same time (I use mixIR2) you have a lot of flexibility actually.

      @DavideChiarello 5 лет назад

      @@nicopoppe4838, I see your point of view, still I'm finding, with all the "flavors" (bright, dark, mid boost...), there's quite some choice.

    I have some doubts.
    I have a headband based on the Fender Twin and I use only power due to my distortion and clean sound coming from the Tech 21 SansAmp PSA 2.0.
    Do you think I can get a good sound by connecting the Tech 21 SansAmp PSA 2.0 (a pre-amp) directly to the audio interface (Focusrite Clarett 2Pre) or would I better connect the PSA 2.0 to the power of my head and use an attenuator / loadbox with line out and connect that set to the audio interface?
    Another doubt. The "(r) Evolution Debut Bundle" package seems to be one of the most versatile within rock and subgenres. Is that right or is there another more versatile pack?
    Thanks.
