Climbing Guye Peak via East Couloir

- Tried out climbing steep snow by climbing Guye Peak via the East Couloir (aka Southeast Gully).
Snow conditions were very variable. Anything under trees was slick and frozen hard, shady spots still had 4-6" of soft snow. I brought up my splitboard on the ascent and enjoyed a few turns on the way down, especially coming down from Cave Ridge, but ended up carrying it down most of the way as a lot of the snow was tracked out and frozen hard.

Nice work
Amazing work gentlemen! A ton of effort involved but you did. No small feat to something to be proud of. Look forward to more adventures!
split board aye? is it useful on ascent?
Not on this trip. I switched to skinning at one point, but the snow wasn't great so I probably would have been faster just booting up.
I enjoyed the downhill parts, but I wouldn't say it was worth it, I brought it more for the fitness.
where is this?
