Pistol shrimps and gobels as well have something similar. Pistol shrimp provide a home for the gobel which protects them from predators while the gobel has superior vision and acts as a lookout while the shrimp maintains the burrow
Gave the video a 👍 , already Subscribed. But yeah, this was a rather neat topic. I definitely wouldn't trust a croc, so those birds are definitely courageous, to say the least.
There is a pretty chilling consequence of prisoners dilemma. You don't know what kind of game you are playing. What if the other guy is the police? He has always been, from the start. Or what if he's a mafia boss who has bribed the local city council anyway, but will watch you for signs of betrayal, and kill you even in jail?
the prisoners dilemma has one caveat that is not often mentioned.... they snitch... will only have 10 years of being ALIVE because on year 11 the snitch is getting erased in the other scenarios time is served and people move on.
There is a solution with your (kinda badly made up?) numbers. If i always choose not to betray, either we spend 2 years (combined) in prison or i spend 10 years. If i choose to betray, he either spends 10 years or we spend a combined 12 years. Meaning not betraying yields an average prison time of 6 years while betraying yields an average of 11 years. Since we are friends, my friend going to prison would be equally as hurtful (if not more so) to me as if i went to prison myself. Thats why going for the lower average is the easy solution.
Haha yeah, that's why cooperating ends up always being correct. In the original dilemma, the two accomplices aren't described as friends either. Thanks for the feedback!
4:45: No, not really. In the prisoner's dilemma, the best thing for you to do is confess and betray your pal (assuming ofc you're a selfish bastard that only cares about themsleves). You have absolutely nothing to gain by not confessing. Whether gregeory confesses or not, in either case you will benefit more from confessing. So both parties are incentivised to cheat. Unlike the bird and crocodile. Literally the opposite actually
Whats the point of making an entire video where your main argument is based in false information? Would it really be so hard to just remake the video with an actually real example? You c00ntent creators are all the same, numbers over quakity
IRL tit for tat workers better if when you have to retaliate you have the leverage to do so , hold your ground, and survive another day. otherwise... eek, its hard. but liek you said, this is an individual situation not the Population level you are really discussing here.
just came across the channel, great potential. i liked the video but im not subscribing yet as i dont see regular uploads. Hope the best to you! ill return when the schedule becomes regular!

But tbh the Prisoners Dilemma isn't a Dilemma at all. I trust my Homies. So we both ain't saying shit.
Google some true crime interviews etc. The rats are real. They also live in your walls
Your homies reading this:💀💀💀
Yeah I'm sure that little bird could snatch out the crocodile tongue and swallow it down right quick

Keep making videos! You will be the next big channel in a year. Unique and well presented content.

Hi DaninBlue. Cleaner shrimp are great examples of this ‘trust based’ symbiosis. Also, there are many cleaner shrimp vids out there.

That’s not how emotions or prison works you don’t feel equal pain from someone else being in prison as yourself

Wow! I love this video!
So...the video at 0:09 isn't real? Aren't those plover birds and a crocodile?
I don't talk to the police... i would call a lawyer😎
Plovers don’t eat croc crud, that is a myth from a photoshopped image.
Elephant fresh!
Great vid
I appreciate it! Thanks!

Then we should respect domesticated animals or they’ll turn on us or maybe that’s already the case with salmonella and heart disease or whatever
