Ohh yeah. These are by far my favorites cause I love to hear her talk about all the different ingredients and tell what each one does. I have also saved so much by watching her videos and realizing a lot of what I was purchasing wasn't really worth it. Just cause it cost more money doesn't mean it is worth it!
@@abutterflykiss13 I know what you mean. I get beauty subscription boxes and use a lit of the skincare I receive in them, but I don't typically re-purchase any of the expensive items because I know I can get quality products for a lot less money.

Hi Dr. Dray, I currently use the cerave hydrating toner and I absolutely love it!!! It’s helped with hydration and I use it before going in with my moisturizing cream from cerave. I first used the toner because I wanted to incorporate niacinamide in my routine. I also love the cerave acne control gel!! It’s like an unsung hero when treating my breakouts!! The neutrogena cc is full coverage matte!!! Good for oily skin who wants that full coverage. But the serum one right above it is more dewy like the rodial one 😊 I have normal skin and love the serum one

I LOVE the Maybelline lifter gloss, and the color 003 “moon” is so flattering for light skinned people! I love that it doesn’t sting and the applicator is perfect! Also, love the Cerave Hydrating Toner.
Living in Canada and seeing all of those bliss products just casually in Walmart is like heaven

I use the cerave toner everyday and I love it. It’s great for prep before moisturizer and gives me that glass skin glow.
I absolutely ADORE the Cereve Hydrating Toner. I like to put it on immediately after washing my face since it levels out the PH and is really soothing. I use it under the Aveeno Baby Balm and my skin is sooo much smoother. Its definitely a must have after any kind of exfoliating. I've not experienced any stinging or burning when I accidentally got it on broken skin. I really really hope they never discontinue this.
Thanks for your PSA about q-tips (where I was raised, we call them cotton buds). Even before I worked in an op't ENT ofc, I understood the importance of the phrase, "Never put anything smaller than your elbow next to (or in) your ear!." The mainstream market for skincare and cosmetics here in the US, certainly isn't getting any smaller. I wish that more color cosmetics had higher sunscreens incorporated into their ranges and formulations. I've found that the Equate sunscreens are pretty good for the price.
I adore the Maybelline Lifter Glosses! I think they're very emollient, feel great and every color is beautiful. They don't last that long, but lipgloss isn't famous for lasting power.
I highly recommend the HOLIKA HOLIKA petit shimmering bb cream, it looks great on lighter skin tones and has spf40, super affordable 🥰

I was just in Wal-Mart today and noticed the Bliss and Versed products. Stuck with Cerave. I love that unscented lubriderm advanced therapy moisturizer. The only issue is the moisturizer is very thick and when you’re towards the end of the bottle, it doesn’t always come out of the pump and you’re left with a lot of product stuck in the bottle. so I’m glad they made a tub version. Just make sure you get the fragrance free version. I accidentally got the fragranced one time and it smells awful.
I have been using the Aquation lotion, body wash and shampoo. I really like them.

Finally tried Avene intense protect today. I LOVED IT. I really liked the glow it gave me!! So much so that I bought another bottle today 😂 I always like to have at least one extra bottle of sunscreen if it works well for me. Also, loving Apieu Super airfit daily mineral sunscreen, which was a gift from my mom. My mom always picks the best sunscreens!!

I wanted to love it but found it so sticky and heavy! Bummer
I used the Equate brand kids sunscreen and I love it! My kids tolerate mineral much better on their faces and they don’t mind the white cast. 😊 I ended up using this on my legs, arms and chest because it’s so smooth. It didn’t feel sticky to me. We could use a lot without feeling greasy and it was pretty sweat resistant.
The biggest difference in those CeraVe cleansers is the Hydrating Cream to Foam Cleanser doesn’t burn 🔥 my face like crazy like the regular Hydrating Facial Cleanser does.

I stumbled upon the Aquation line in the baby section at Walmart a few months ago and remembered Dr Dray’s positive comments. I have been using a couple products and wow, love ‘em!
That Eucerin sunscreen left a slight white cast on my skin, but the worst was when it dried down it turns into a chalky dust. Hate that stuff. I prefer the Bondi Sands body sunscreen so much more.
For very oily skin, the Versed Dew Point Gel is a good option! It’s unbelievably light weight.
Unfortunately, my skin around my eyes doesn’t agree with that product. I get tiny little red dots under my eyes if I use it. :(
Paula’s Choice Skin Balancing gel is another friend to very oily skin. I get black heads easily on my cheeks and nose, so I like how it’s a clear product.
I use a more moisturizing product on my drier areas like my forehead and eyes. :)
I think I damaged my skin barrier from using retinol and no sunscreen 😣 I learned my lesson but the versed dew point moisturizer fixed it in a week or so! I think it was the aloe in it
I recommend trying to match foundation/cc cream to ur neck. Less likely to have a mask like look outside under the sun I found.
That Hard as Hoof works well for me. I quit doing salon gel-this helped my nails recover.

Btw i've been using Naturekind 5% Urea Cream. It has ceramides and centella as well. That and Zeroid Richenic are amazing! Made my skin much smoother.. Hope you get to try the Naturekind too, Dr. Dray! 💞

🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐I was wondering if you will be so kind as to compare the cerave am, pm and sensitive skin cleanser to the equate brand. They have them on the shelves next to each other. Equate brand seems to be about 40% less expensive. As always thanks for all your work and looking after us.
I have dry, dry skin and the cream to foam hydrating face wash is way better at making my skin feel hydrated than the other one. I had made a mistake and picked up just the hydrating one and there is a huge difference in the two! Love your videos!
19:10 I used to go to Dollar Tree for paper plates, napkins, greeting cards, gift bags, kitchen sponges, and batteries. Many of their products, like cleaning supplies and food, especially name brand stuff, are a worse deal by the ounce. But between shrinkflation and the price increase, I can get half of those things cheaper at Walmart.
True skin vitamin c on amazon has over 150,000 decent reviews and I love it! Especially for acne! It diner cute anything like my acne and doesn’t help with it but sure doesn’t activate it like some others. I has jojoba oil and the el aerobic acid or Esther is somewhat beneficial with pih (hyperpigmentation) and some acne I guess. But love the antioxidants and the packaging that makes it not oxidize as quickly!

I'm very late to this this video, but I have to say, I looove the CeraVe Hydrating Toner. It's very soothing and leaves my skin fresh and hydrated. Even when my skin is irritated, it does not stings or burns like other products. I use it after cleansing and before my moisturizer.
The cerave micellar water gave me chemical burns!!! Or something like that :I I had scabs in the folds of my eyelids. It was so bad that I actually called their 1-800 number to report it
I miss the gigantic bottles of NO-AD sunscreen that Walmart used to have. It was a good body sunscreen and super cheap. I am not sure if the brand exists anymore.

I had no idea urea and lactic acid strengthened nails! I have super thin bendy nails naturally so I keep gel on them to protect them, but I for sure wanna try what you suggested.

I am allergic to propolis and fragrances! Like you always say, you can become allergic to anything at any age -- my allergies began in my mid-fifties. Oh, Dr. Dray, I like the Jordan Samuel Moisturizer -- it's pretty lux, and you don't need much, so that offsets the price. I am now using the Cerave Blue Tub, Eucerin Advanced Repair Very Dry Sin, and The J.S. cream -- all your recs! 😘😘

I tried the equate ultra spf 50 sunscreen a few months ago and didnt care for it. It was super greasy for me and pilled when I did a re-application. The fake coconut/tropical scent was pretty strong too and I'm usually not too sensitive to scents in products. It also burns like the Dickens if it gets into your eyes. I think Ill stick to the Neutrogena clear face spf.
The lubriderm cream in the tub is pretty good. Its not quite as moisturizing as the cerave/cetaphil creams but it was nice on my feet after a shower and didn't irritate my eczema there.
Hard agree with your comment about open tubs and products. That incident with the icecream licking has me double and triple checking jars to make sure they haven't been opened prior.
That concealer in the peach covers of dark circles so good
I've tried the Neutrogena lip that you recommend and it's good but I love Clinique's Moisture Surge™ Lip Hydro-Plump Treatment. It's about $8 more but it lasts forever because a little goes a long way and my lips are so moisturized when I wake up in the morning.
Cool, Aquation products in the baby skincare section at Wally World. My teen son has been using the Hyralonic Cream on his eczema prone skin, but he's been working outside and getting a heatrash on his neck, maybe the diaper cream would be beneficial for this. Im glad Dr. Dray mentioned that chemical sunscreens are okay for children. I use a chemical sunscreen on most of my toddler boys’ skin and then a mineral version that is tear free around the eyes in case of stinging. But honestly they like chemical ones better because they can’t see it as much once it’s rubbed in. The white cast of mineral sunscreens freaks them out. A lot of people online say that you must use mineral sunscreen for children and no one seems talks about how small children can often become easily upset by something like a significant white cast on skin. Some kids aren’t. But if that’s your children like it is mine then just feel free to use a chemical sunscreen!

lover..Lip gloss can't be thick and glossy enough for me..If there is another lip gloss out there that is even more moisturizing, full bodied and juicy, I would love to know..It's true they don't last very long but what lip gloss does..
my favorite bb cream is from the brand purito it’s a korean brand! it’s call the purito cica clearing bb cream! it’s so hydrating and looks so nice on the skin! i get my from amazon for 10 bucks and yesstyle also has it!
I’ve tried the CeraVe toner. I really like it. I put it on at night to make sure I get everything off (don’t worry I double cleanse). But it doesn’t make my face feel tight or anything.
Hi Dr Dray, have you heard of the Yuka app? It's an app that lets you analyze the ingredients of personal products and foods. It's pretty great, I love it. Baby Bum sunscreen was one of the healthiest choices as revealed by the Yuka app. It's kind of thick and gives skin a white sheen, but I don't mind that.
I tried Sun Bum mineral 30 for the first time. It worked really well on my skin. I went back to the only store in town that carries it, and found only 1tube remaining. I purchased it and 3 tubes if the tinted, leaving behind 2. Sunscreen is difficult to find in my country now. I hope it's just a phase and we will get more. All if our sunscreens are imported from the US, so the cheapest ones are quite expensive here.

I ordered both the Avené Intense Protect & La Roche-Posay Uvmune 400 after seeing your videos and I’m so impressed! I think my husband will like the Avene much more than what he’s been using for boating.
For the Neutrogena foundation shades you were asking about which one is your color; You want to match the color to the side of your neck while in good lighting, so you don't have a 'disconnected' color between your face and your neck and chest. (I know you're not a 'foundation' person so I hope this helps!) Many people use a foundation or tinted SPF product shade that is too dark for them because they like the look of color on their face, but don't realize the end effect with, for example; a darker warm toned face and a lighter cool toned neck and chest.
I’m a big fan of Neutrogena hydrating skin tint. An oldie but a goodie. Very flattering and feels great on the skin.
That Neutrogena color corrector is great!
I bought the Neutrogena 60 spf serum in the pink pump and it caused:
1. Irritated feeling in my eyes
2. A rash under my eyes
No problems on the rest of my face. The skin around my eyes is very thin and sensitive. I should probably stick to mineral sunscreen there.
Body by TPH is a line from actor Taraji P. Henson.
I tried the Versed cleansing balm and while I really liked it, it is SO fragranced. I'm not actually sensitive to fragrance and I'm not often bothered by them, but this one was just too much, even for me. No skin irritation but just kind of suffocating.
I use eye cream because many moisturizers burn my eyes. So I make a big circle of eye cream around the eye and use facial moisturizer on the rest of my face.
I agree with you on the Maybelline Lift gloss. So many people like it but I don't care for the stickiness.

Dr. Dray, the Wet N Wild Tinted Hydrator, is so popular with the Beauty Influencers, and are loving it. Has HA, and Vegan Squalane in it. Sheer to medium coverage, semi-matte finish, lightweight. Might want to check it out, if you’re not dead set on Neutrogena. I like that it’s sheer, and adds just a little color. Has anyone tried it ? Thoughts ? Happy Friday everyone ! ☺️💜☺️
hi dr. dray!! i ordered something from ulta and ABSOLUTELY needed to share it with you! so i'm a lip balm junkie, bought the neutrogena hydroboost lip mask because of you! it's good but not as good as good old aquaphor. my sister is obsessed with it though. HOWEVERR, morphe 2 lullaby lip mask.. this. this is my miracle lip balm. it's thick, and people say it's sticky but i think it's more tacky as opposed to sticky. it's insanely nourishing, i love it! if you don't enjoy thick tacky lip products this probably won't be for you, but i just had to share! 😩💞
the cerave acne control gel is so expensive though😭 a similar product that's cheaper is the inkey list succinic acid ($9-10), works so well! i actually sometimes spot treat kp with this since everything else just seems to not work. apply it first tho, don't put it on top of any other products bc it will run into your eyes that way. do the succinic acid, then a moisturizer, and some petroleum jelly around the eyes just in case💯
I know it's not Walmart but Peaches skin care products (she's on RUclips) is pretty affordable and she has 37 yrs experience plus totally holistic. She's more like you and share a lot of your values. Live your videos.
lol re: Q-Tips. I went to a refillery station recently and they had reusable ear swabs. Ever since then, I can't stop thinking about wanting to try it! But my dad is an ENT... working really hard to resist the urge to purchase...

I love, love, love! Walmarts brand equate frangance free lotions. Great for after shower. I also love the aquation brand fragrance free cream sold at Walmart.
So I received the Olay AHA serum (which is fragrance-free) and I actually really liked it. Super gentle and it helped improve any acne that I had going on. Plus I saw that they’re only like $12 which isn’t bad at all
I tried that equate children's mineral. The white cast soaked in and looked ok pretty quickly. It does feel a bit sticky and I got some on my shirt and it made a big greasy stain. But I got it to save a bit of money since I garden daily. I just use it on my arms and put my fav Neutrogena on my face and neck. Wear a hat and gloves. I have 3 upf shirts but they are just too hot to garden in! I agree about only buying stuff that is sealed.
I am no expert but I always was taught to match your makeup color with the color of the inside of your wrist.

OK now I’m going to tell you something very interesting. I was at the doctor today and got called out because she could tell I use Q-tips. Actually I have an obsession with using them. She could tell by looking in my ears. And then you said that today. I’m definitely changing this habit😝
Unless a product comes sealed, I refuse to purchase it in person from a retailer. I worked in cosmetic retail for a while and I saw how disgusting it was for these products to be continuously opened and smelled, especially in stores where there are no testers available. I always prefer to buy my personal care products online so I know they were not touched, opened, smelled, sampled, and/or coughed on by other people. Gross.
Shell looked like a good color match to me. Your skin is like mine. I’m usually the lightest neutral tone anyone has. If it’s too light I can usually just mix a little bit of the Supergoop or other tinted sunscreens that are too dark into them and make a good match! I hope this helps

I saw this statement in an article about antioxidants and UV damage repair. Does it mean that topical antioxidants aren’t effective? “Exogenous antioxidants like vitamin C, E, and many others cannot be synthesized by the human body and must be taken up by the diet.”
