@@6pac. And we have seen how thoroughly useless they were , they stopped the messenger toad from getting help and doomed Konoha ! They facilitated discrimination amongst the people and caused so much disturbance that Sasuke happened!! The moment Tsunade became a Hokage , they interfered so much that she had to keep them in check and they took it out on the entire village!!! Sasuke just needed to come ask Tsunade politely to give the three elders to him and he could've peacefully solved the situation 😊.

Imagine Itachi having someone like that as well.. He could at least trust her and plan accordingly instead of having to kill everyone he ever loved.

Jiraiya and Kakashi both knew that Naruto and sasuke were extraordinary kids and possessed more chakra and powers than anyone else and they also knew that those two were the targets of enemies (akatsuki and orochimaru/Itachi) therefore they took measures to make them stronger ninjas than Sakura.
She protected Naruto here as she was his real grandmother.
Tsunade is not necessarily Naruto's grandmother, but since Mito Uzumaki was married to Hashirama and Tsunade is his grand-daughter, then she is at last PART Uzumaki.
Therefore that makes the two of them actual family, despite how distant that relation may be, and I think Tsunade realizes that fact and it's why she allows Naruto to call her "Granny Tsunade," because she sees him as one, possibly even the last member, of her blood related family.
That could be an explanation as to why so was so protective of Naruto.

Jiraiya was Naruto's godfather and Tsunade was technically his distant grandma/aunt (Theyre blood relatives). If only hiruzen informed them of what happend to naruto's parents specially jiraiya. Naruto wouldve the best upbringing a ninja could ever dream of. Plus, this will probably heal tsunade's PTSD much earlier. since she will have the chance to raise child like a mother.

I love the Taunade love. I use to remember how everyone used to call her the weakest hokage, the worst hokage, the weakest sannin (my leagues) and just almost as useless as sakura. But jow, she is being honored and praised. Her reputation has changed, just like Naruto. 😌

3rd hokage's all the council members were evil and did things to maintain their power and cared very less about village or its people. 3rd hokage was not evil but his 'to do nothing' policy about all the things makes him as culprit as them. These people did not have the will of fire that Hashirama propagated. Of course they developed hatred against uchiha (may be because their sensei was tobirama who hated uchiha). Minato, Itachi, Tsunade, Kakashi and even Fugaku inherited the will of fire of Hashirama. But these power hungry politicians manipulated a 14 year old boy for killing entire clan including children which is an act of genocide which significantly decreased the strength of village. I wish that Sasuke killed these two geezers also along with danzo since all the trash would have been cleaned.
Hashirama Senju is my favourite character but my favourite hokage is lady tsunade. Once naruto earned her respect never once did she underestimate him. Always stood by his side and was also willing to die for the village. She might be the weakest hokage but she damn well is my favourite hokage!
