Hi mate, congrats. ● Say how tall does this plant get in med- high light if you just leave it? ● To keep it red do you need reduce nitrate and add more iron? Thanks. Did you give that fly tips on his aquarium lol
edit: oops i confused this with the other "Ammania" (leaving the comment anyways). i too recommend this plant! (i'm beginner/amateur level) it's beautiful and grows well for me. i even bought a second batch from Jacob after seeing how well this survived in my neglected low-tech tank... and how beautiful it was -- these are strong red/pink accent pieces that really pop against background greenery.
Congrats Jake!!! Just recently subscribed to your channel. Did you have a bamboo and a plumeria channel before? Anyways, I’ll check out your plants in your website.
Jacob do you have any experience or thoughts toward Anoxic filtration? Specifically creating an anoxic environment with a under gravel filter and an airstone
It would be nice if you update your website with more info. Because newbies like me need to know with plants you plant in-substrate and wich one you don’t, like i’ve heard that some plants you attached to rocks or wood. I know your a busy man but, not everyone is en expert. And plus everyone wants the newbies as new customers right?. Well sadly We need help, and so we look for all this info. You are doing great though, but you speak expert language and so we need to level up.
Congratulations!! I had a real quick question. whenever you did the video on flourish. iron and potassium do you do water changes whenever you added iron or potassium?? every other day to every two days. if so how much of a water change do you do??
i'll try to clear this up. you typically do aquarium water-changes about once a week, replacing up to 50% with new dechlorinated water. then AFTER adding the new water, you can dose flourish/iron/potassium based on instructions. then in the middle of the week, you might give a second "extra" dose (no water change this time). that's my understanding and how i do it. jacob likely has a better answer.

We do. On every product page. It lists in detail what the plant requires to grow, including if it needs substrate or not. Thanks for watching.
