Daria is one of my favourite ballerinas. I read her book, and she wrote that she hated dancing with Dimitri to the point that she wanted to leave the company if she had to continue dancing with him, and she cried so many times because she was so frustrated... Wow, I admire her professional skills, if you see them on stage you wouldn‘t be able to tell that they absolutely disliked each other

(For some reason I never get YT notifications when someone replies to my comment) If I got it right, they were just very different and had no chemistry at all. She felt he did not really accept her as a dancer and compared her to the Russian style ballerinas, which she isn’t really. She is so sweet and never writes something mean about him, but when you read the book you get the feeling that they really hated each other and blamed the other one when something went wrong. Dmitri said in an interview many years later that he felt just the same
