Can those orange tabs that say "heating dors" on them be removed? I don't like the aesthetics of the orange, and "heating dors" is just idiotic!
Looks like a fish death trap, the big slots especially look like fish would get stuck inside.
That is something I didn't consider
Its ugly!
Love my Hygger light systems. I bet their heater is great also.
lol. Only 1 year warranty and it's huge asf. I prefer having it fitted into the canister. I have no need to see my thermostat.
I think its very thoughtfully designed though I agree I'm concerned about smaller fish getting caught in the slats.
Here we go again. The gloss black plastic reflects light and stands out. The orange labeling (which doesn't even make sense) is going to stick out like a sore thumb. The huge "vent" holes are begging for small fish and shrimp to swim in and get burned or trapped. With the admittedly very nice control unit they try to make you think it has a heater controller (like Ink Bird) but It's just another single probe heater like every other cheap heater on the market. Not safer or "better" in any way. A much better option if your worried about heater failure (and you should be) is a simple fully submersible heater in unison with a heater controller. Heaters are the most likely piece of aquarium equipment to fail. I replaced mine every 2 years until heater controllers became available. If you truly care about your fish get a basic heater and a heater controller. And would you really want to buy a heater from a company that cannot even spell the word door? Final thing...I may have missed it at the beginning...did you buy the heater or did they send it to you for free?
I get all my stuff from Amazon for my reviews bud but yes it is a clunky design I did mention the aesthetics and the weird orange pieces. The small holes I missed because I dont keep small fish so it's not something think of but will in the future
@@EverydayAquarist Even though I obviously had a different opinion of the heater than you ; I still appreciate new product reviews. It's just very important to disclose the product source. Thanks for doing what you do...If it were not for you I would not have a marine tank at all. I have kept fresh water for over 40 years but I have just started a FOWLR system and it's success is largely due to your vids.
High Ger i use mant different models in my marine tanks thaybare great heaters
