Just bought one of these bags from Johnny at Tomahawk, and I think your video was the deciding factor. The seller has been fantastic. Even willing to lengthen the shoulder strap and put in a Col. Littleton buckle. Can't wait to get my hands on it this Christmas. 😍
Quick update! I just completed a grueling multi-day European journey with this bag and I can say that it's held up perfectly. It got tossed around on planes, trains, and automobiles, with upwards of 15 pounds inside. No popped rivets, No rips, no tears! It really is built like a tank! :)
Superb review! Thank you so much for doing these reviews. I just bought the 17” version of the bag. from Johnny! Can’t wait to get the bag. This glowing review helped me decide between the top bags. Can’t wait to see the master piece.
Thank you Shawn, it really is an utterly fantastic bag. I wish the maker, who told me he goes by "Johnny" much success in the future. We need more high quality leather goods makers like this. Glad to see the tradition continue with a new generation!
lovely bag and quality. The handle is hand sewn as said in his ad. But the rest is done by harness sewing machine signs of the light presser foot line marks in close up images.
Hi James, wonderful reviews. One suggestion would be if you could show in future reviews how a bag looks when you do a shoulder carry, cross carry and hand carry
Jorge Ruiz that depends on what kind of leather you like and what kind of features you need. All three are worthy contenders. The Tomahawk in Horween Dublin is a firm leather. Col. Littleton and Emil Erwin are both soft leathers. The Emil Erwin has more fine details than the Littleton such as dressed seams, copper rivets at all the stress points and nice heavy duty veg tanned strapping. You can’t go wrong with any of these bags!
It's not easy finding just the right products to review. As you know there has got to be something really special about a product to get me to feature it. Thanks for watching Calvin!
All three in my opinion are simply stellar makers Calvin. I think it's more of a matter of the style you want, as they are very much on par with one another in every other sense. Of course I'd love to see a comparison via a double blind study and torture test of these bags until they completely fell apart, but who would do it? Lol!
Tyler Jones the Tomahawk Leatherworks bag is made from vegetable tanned leather from Horween and very carefully hand cut and hand-stitched, has hand burnished edges and is one hundred percent handmade. It's a masterpiece. The Stickman is made from chrome tanned leather, the pieces are "clicked" out (punched out on a press) and sewn together on a machine, has no burnished edges. Both bag tell their own story of how they were made, one is a masterpiece and one is just a good leather bag.
@@roberthenry6903 I don't know anyone who has that service. I have always engraved my own bags. It's very easy with a leather stamping kit, which are available on Amazon or from Tandy Leather.
it's a beautiful with wonderful craftsmanship that was designed by Forrest Gump.because the top flap doesn't cover the ends of the bagso there's nothing to prevent the ingress of rainwater in bad weather.

Good suggestion!
this bag is a steal! All that hand stitching... He should be charging $2000 each.
James, which one would you recommend, Colonel Littleton Mailbag, Emil Erwin Mail Bag, Moose Leather Mailbag, or the Tomahawk Mail Bag? Thank you!

James Crane I completely understand! Question...? Norm Cahn, Col. Littleton, or this guy as far as overall quality/functionality?

James, I'm debating between this bag and the Stickman bag. Your opinion on which you prefer would be great! thank you for such a great channel!

Engrave, as in having your name or initials put on your bag?
