This is the cutest tutorial I've ever seen. The fact that you used a kinder egg to make your wells! And the font + captions and editing! I really enjoyed it
Must confess I'm a terribly messy artist I can have many plates or palettes around and still choose a piece of box while getting paint all over me. All over. Never fails. I've seen a few air dry clay videos where they mixed in cinnamon and coffee grounds into the clay for a really cool effect. Watch this knowing I'll make it then never want to use it...Still fun! A fun brush stand or for a glass ink pen. One ground pepper into the clay which I liked the effect. Thanks for sharing!
Wow! I never would have thought of using air dry clay for a palette! Thank you for the video, and I love the way you structure this video. The intro is great, the music is super cute, and overall, this is just delightful. My only suggestion is to do whatever you can to make sure the texts stands out as much as it can from the video so it's super readable. Otherwise, you're making wonderful content. :D Keep doing what you're doing :)
Dear Jamie, thank you for your kind comment (again), and for the feedback! Really appreciate the text suggestion, and I have already added a little shadow to the text in video that goes live today. I really wish to improve with every video and it means a lot to me that you took time to watch and comment 💕 Hope you are having a wonderful day!
What an amazing video! I started doing ceramics a few years ago and I find it extremely entertaining and relaxing. You should get more subscribers your video filming is incredible and the edit too! All my best wishes 🤗❤️
thank you for the tutorial! it was easy to understand im excited to try making it for myself since store bought ceramic ones are hard to find and expensive❤️
It's so beautiful and a good technique,I used to scribble with pen in my books as a child and you took it to another level altogether 👍🏻👍🏻😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 And I will always support you, looking forward to seeing you in the next video.✌️✌️✌️✌️
I has been thinking to make my own palette but has no idea how should I glazed them. Now I got all the information I need 😁😁 Thankyou for this video 😍❤️😍
Hi! I had a quick question. What if I used wall primer to paint the palette at the end? Would it still need to be varnished? And what kind of varnish did you use? Thanks for all the help in advance
Hi there :) Thanks for asking, but unfortunately I have no experience with wall primer on air dry clay, so I can't tell if it would work. I f you do try it out, let me know! :) I used Glossy water based varnish from brand Pentart.
Watercolor you can remove with baby wipes or wet towels, varnish shouldn't come off! Make sure to use waterproof varnish and don't dive it into water, it should be fine! 😊💕
I have a question, is gloss glaze for ceramics the same as the ones you might use on a canvas? I bought a gloss glaze from a woman who doesn’t speak English very well so idk if she understood that I wanted glaze for ceramics, but I’m wondering if they are the same thing?
Hi! I haven't used glaze for ceramic yet, so I'm not sure if it would work. This varnish is for acrylic paint and it should work on any surface (I used it on painting). This clay is not ceramics tho (you bake clay to make ceramics, this is air dry). Try to use it on small portion, or on maybe some small canvas if you are not sure. Hope I helped a bit and sorry for the late reply
@@strodestudios ok thanks ! I want to make pallets for blending and putting gouache and watercolor I'm guessing they're okay to when and wash by hand afterwards without getting damaged
Hi, yes, after a while the colors get absorbed in the palette and can't get washed. But you can re-paint with white acrylic and once again varnish to have them look as new.
@@strodestudios ohh yes that i saw.. but i was thinking to buy spray varnish even for my paintings..so that it will be one solution for all. And i recently got interested in clay works.. ordered some air dry clay as well..and your video was fantastic to get some knowledge about it 💕

Do you use water while giving shape to the paint wells?
I don't know if someone already asked this, but how do you remove the paint after using it? does the varnish come off too??

@@strodestudios thank you!
What glossaire varnish did you use?
Does the varnish have a heavy chemical smell like mod podge for example??
Hi, this varnish has no smell at all. It's water based.
@@strodestudios ok thanks ! I want to make pallets for blending and putting gouache and watercolor I'm guessing they're okay to when and wash by hand afterwards without getting damaged
did any issues ever come up with the varnish down the line? since it was water based.
Hi, yes, after a while the colors get absorbed in the palette and can't get washed. But you can re-paint with white acrylic and once again varnish to have them look as new.
will spray acrylic varnish work as water resistant?
I haven't tried, but maybe few layers would work! :) I use liquid varnish and two layers.
@@strodestudios ohh yes that i saw.. but i was thinking to buy spray varnish even for my paintings..so that it will be one solution for all. And i recently got interested in clay works.. ordered some air dry clay as well..and your video was fantastic to get some knowledge about it 💕
Are these pallete suitable for watercolour and gouache paints? Because im trying to make one and use for my watercolour and gouache painting.
Of course! You need to varnish it 2-3x at least to get water resistant surface. I used them for both gouache and watercolors :)
@@strodestudios yeah!! That's good news. I shall work on it then. 😊
Nice work, i just want to ask if this is waterproof? I want to try to make one myself 🤗
Hi, yes but you need to use waterproof varnish, I suggest at least two layers 🤗 If you have any other questions I'm here :D
@@strodestudios Thank You!
Wil covering it with mod podge afterwards work?
I'm not sure, never worked with it. Sorry I can't help
Can this palette be used for acrylics?
Of course! Just make sure to clean it right after use, any paint that dries will not come off :)
@@strodestudios ok got it. Thanks a lot 😊😊
Can I just use my hands without gloves?
of course! I used gloves so my nails don't get dirty
@@strodestudios thanks! 😁
