Hey shawn, this is very off topic but I figured the best way to contact you was on your most up to date postings. You should consider having a geopolitical anaylist on the show. Peter zeihan is one that comes to mind but I am sure you could find others within your circle that would be willing to do an interview. There are interesting statistics coming out regarding china leading towards a collapse of their country within the next 10 years, the American political system that is currently going through one of its shifts that happens every 50 years or so, and the effects of deglobalization that has already begun. Seems like this would be right up your alley. Been watching you since the Mike Glover interview, huge fan and really looking forward to Tylers upcoming interview. God bless.

You know what hurts my heart? This man was 9 or 10 when I went to Afghanistan. And here he sits, missing his arm and his leg, exposing the withdrawal from that very same country. So absolutely heartbreaking that our government used us as pawns in their game of chess. God bless this man and his road to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual recovery.

@@timtresch4848i think it’s more than that, it takes a special kind of toughness to act as he does. Someone who refuses to pity himself because he thinks no one cares would be a bit more jaded, one would think. He seems to still have a very balanced view on things and to believe quite the opposite about what his newfound disabilities imply about him as a person. If he really thought no one cared, he wouldn’t have testified before Congress. He said outright that he chooses not to see himself differently and that he just wants to be himself, and not let what happened to him define him. That’s can be a quite harder thing to do, because it takes a lot of self-positivity, which better explains his behavior in my view. Maybe for some people, that is the attitude they end up taking, but not everyone who goes through something like he does ends up dealing with it that way. It sounds like he had great support around him to help him adjust and settle into his new life. At the very least I’d say that he believes that telling his story and representing the truth reflected by his experience was worthwhile.
That’s not to say he thought people broadly would care about what happened to him, per se, just that knowing exactly what happened to him and how reveals things about why it happened and what went wrong, which is something that is relevant, at least in terms of the political environment, which is why he decided to testify before our political body. I think what he meant to convey in this interview was that he hoped doing so would add to the political pressure to provide justice to those like himself who were casualties of the pullout. His message was simple, but it seemed to have the intended effect of expanding the conversation to the impact that it had on the people whose lives were actually at risk, and to how the people in charge of ensuring their safety failed them. It may have gone wrong from the start because of stupid behavior from politicians within our our government, but it seems there was also negligent behavior coming from within the command structure, and that’s a serious problem Congress ought to be aware of, which they weren’t until they decided to investigate it. This guy really went above and beyond by being strong enough to add to that for the sake of his brothers in arms after having already done more than enough in service to his country. Regardless of what his reasons for it really are, I think he still deserves respect for how he chose to conduct himself through those times.

I hope you understand the Constitutional rights afforded to Americans. Too many cops do not, that has been shown time and time again. Most importantly but not exclusively, you must understand the 5 parts of the 1st amendment. Obviously understand the 2nd amendment. As a cop, you must fully comprehend the 4th amendment and of course the 5th. The 6th amendment should also be understood by cops for the reason of the rights of a person under arrest for the purpose of their defense afterwards. If a cop does not or cannot learn and understand these rights then they have absolutely no business being a cop. The police academies and departments/agencies have an atrocious record when it comes to teaching, training and testing (re-testing) their officers on Constitutional law. Either respect the rights of Americans or do not be a police officer.

Our entire military is so poorly managed, to put it simply, they figured out the best strategy of running a military is as follows : "Obfuscate military tasks across the board to individuals and only provide them with need to know information". Now if you think about that more closely, you would see how this tactic allows higher officials to do anything they want because none of the troops will know the full details of the situation but only what their 'ordered' to do. Everyone has a small piece of the pie, but not the whole pie because they would have too much power. Their strength is in keeping everyone lost in the sauce, which is exactly why everyone is leaving the military. No-one with their head on straight will serve in such a shit show, huge problems that will never be solved. It is proven that even in Democratic governments, there is extreme secrecy and elitists with their own hidden agenda's.

I was about to EAS and was helping to train, from my previous deployment experience as the senior NCO, the Marines in the platoon of which her and I were apart of. She was an excellent Marine which is why she was chosen to go on that deployment. It is beyond frustrating to hear the details of your story and the story of that day that resulted in so much death and destruction. I was stationed in Bahrain when you were getting folks out of there, and I helped provide support to the families you helped rescue. We helped provide care and supplies as the State Department processed about 12,000 of these refugees through our base. I met so many amazing Afghanis who served as interpreters for our SF community. One family I met had four sons and all but the youngest who was attending university, served alongside our servicemen and women. They were there when the suicide bomber detonated himself. I also met a female doctor who was escaping with her 4-yr old twin son and daughter. She was also there when the bomb went off and was much closer to the explosion. She explained to me in broken English, graphic detail of the river of blood and body parts she saw in the canal. Hearing their stories made for some long and tough days for me, but this is the first time I’ve heard it from an American’s perspective. Thanks for sharing your story and helping to get these folks out. Most of them really were escaping for their lives and I’m honored I got to help be a part of that process. One team, one fight! You’re a true warrior, man! Thanks for being willing to be the boots on the ground for the rest of us and sharing your story. ❤️👍 You helped save so many people who are forever grateful. Before departing for her plane headed to the US, the female doctor asked me thank anyone I could who was involved with this rescue. To blame Biden alone on a 20 year war is ridiculous lmao.
People have been bitching on both sides to pull out for years. The first years were completely mishandled, and a lot of those taliban that were mentioned here were kids who had their families killed and hated Americans for that.
The taliban have been pushing back in since the surge, or near then. Do you think none of that was happening during trumps presidency?
What if Biden ordered yet another surge, and huge fights with the taliban that had been reoccupying the country?
Everyone would have complained about wasting tax payer money, American lives and so on.
I’m in no way a Biden fan, nor do I blame trump for Afghanistan. It’s just the nature of insurgencies. That’s why Vietnam failed as well, not the same, but there are striking similarities.
Stop letting your feelings lead over your head. There was no east end to it unfortunately, and if we kept fighting we would have lost a lot more people than we did on the 26th.
Afghanistan and it’s people are completely different than us, and trying to fix it our way was doomed to failure. I just hope they can heal over the next couple generations and work their own issues out.
If you have an answer to Afghanistan better than 4 presidents, countless generals and top staff and advisors putting in thousands of hours I would love to hear it.

I'll never understand why Biden changed plans, and actions in place for the actual removal of troops overseas.. Trump had a set date when he was going to do it, in which gave the Military plenty of time to come up with procedure, and time to prepare.. But Biden hates Ole' Trump so much, he just had to reverse ANYTHING and everything Trump had in place..
The Kabul takeover happened as soon as they got wind about Biden pulling out early, and I wholeheartedly agree with that. It just all baffles me, and idc what side of the aisle you're on, it should baffle you too.

We need to have only those with military backgrounds c and ideally only enlisted oersonnel in order to be president. Because Biden is a polluted octogenarian and 45 said where are the oranges or the investigation and held 33k classified documents at his house he was selling to the Saudis, not to mention that he has international leaders paying to stay at his hotels in order to get face time with the president. If Trump just kept his energy and desires in line and wasn’t drawing lines in permanent markers to expand a hurricane zone to include a state that NOAA didn’t concur, give us a president who has been deployed.

YOU and people like you are what make this country GREAT. Talk about how all heroes don’t wear capes. Somehow, someway, and for some reason, people hold sports figures, movie stars and entertainers in such high regard and don’t even think twice about the servicemen and servicewomen that EVERYDAY/EVERYWHERE protect our freedoms and our rights. I can’t tell you how much respect my family and I have for all of you. Now military can get the sex change operations on paid by none other than the taxpayers. The truth is slowly coming out of the lies being told. We had a strong military. This is all intentional. Take care of yourself and your family. We need our retired military here to save our country from the inside probably.
