Your suspicion is correct, Lexi. The highlighter is also a re-promote. Chantecaille CS told me it was released in the Positano collection a few years ago as a duo with Sirena (the duo with the wavy design). I agree with you that Chantecaille could have marketed this collection as an anniversary celebration of some of their best products. We as consumers shouldn't have to be Sherlock Holmes to determine if we already have these products. I appreciate your honesty in reviewing these items for us!

I love Chantecaille but am frustrated with this re-promote collection. One of the lips wasn’t even very long ago in the Giraffe collection. I absolutely adored the Postiano collection and wish that they had just re-released it as part of the anniversary favorites. I hope that they listen to the customers are really take to heart what we are saying.

I’m completely agree - 25 products for 25 years is a fantastic idea. I love Chantecaille but increasingly I am underwhelmed especially for the price point. The packaging does stick to each other and it scratches easily. I would love to see refillable, solid, beautiful packaging. Thanks for a great review. 😊

You hit it right on the nail - not explicitly stating is really bugging me. It’s very shady marketing. Nordstrom shows the bronzer shade as “golden bronze”, very shady.

Hi Lexi, very interesting video content. Your thoughts are always straight to the point and filled with knowledge. I know you come from an unbiased place which is what sets you apart from many others. I have to say I totally agree with your pov. While the packaging is lovely, I too am all about the details and to omit the information that this is basically a repromote isn't going to bode well with people who already own the originals or even with people who thought they were getting brand new shades. I think companies regardless of who they are need to disclose this vital information especially when commanding a premium price. Thank you for clarifying exactly what this launch is compromised of. I wish everyone had your level of detail and integrity. 👏👏

I really wish believe they could have spun this in a different way but unfortunately the fact that there is no transparency about the repromotes makes me feel more insulted instead. I'm sure that wasn't their intention but I feel this is definitely an area in which they need to step up.
Hi Lexi I have to agree with everything you said ! Chantecaille does seem to be going downhill with lacking ideas and transparency and the prices are ridiculously high. Yes! If the prices were not so high, I don't think it would upset me as much as it does. It really comes across as a cash grab unfortunately.

When Chantecaille debuted so many years ago, they actually were releasing products that were new and innovative. Now, not so much. There’s are so many reprobates and the formulations are falling behind the times. It has become a brand that relies entirely on packaging to attract our attention.

I completely agree Eileen! I loved their items back then. Even now I feel like their newer items aren't the same level of quality as some of their original releases. They were truly special!
This collection is an easy pass for me. For their price point Chantecaille really needs to wow me. Also, I don’t love this packaging as other compacts adhere to them making storage problematic. Thank you for giving us another very thorough review. 😊

Hi Lexi, love how your makeup makes your eye colour pop, so beautiful. i thought maybe this release would be when i get the bronzer to try but i may re-evaluate since it's a re-promoted shade and i do prefer a red toned shade over a yellow toned shade. thank you for your another thorough video 💜💜

Lexi, I’m so disappointed in Chantecaille and have been since they sold their company. I have not bought a lot from their new collections lately and it looks I’ll be skipping this one. Their packaging is always beautiful but how disappointing to not come out with something different for their anniversary or announce the products were from previous collections. Thank you for purchasing to make this video and saving me and a lot of people money. 😊🌺

Chantecaille does a LOT of re-promotes. I have watched this go on for years and am aware, but most people are not. I am sure they will bring back the highlighter you love at some point. It is a big mistake on their part for not being clear when they do it. You have to remember they were bought out by a big company even though the original owners re still involved. I loved the 20th anniversary pearl compact with the slightly luminous powder. I used it sparingly. The gold compacts (pressed powder) looked identical in finish. Now my fave is the Lotus blur. I love the tone of GOA too. After I apply it, I gently wipe over it with a flat sponge to lighten it up. This works perfectly for me. Thank you for your reviews! On Hermes website, they have three new slightly shimmery blushes available and a lip enhancer. I ordered the middle one which looked the coolest and the lip enhancer which looks interesting.

Not sure if I will end up purchasing anything. I do love the packaging. I think if I do pickup anything it would be something I’d only purchase at a sale price. The last collection I loved from Chantecaille was the one with the pearls.

Hi Lexi, I skipped this Collection and now I have seen your video I am pleased that I did. Since they are re-promotes it would have been so much better if they had completely different and packaging to celebrate the anniversary year. At least then it would have made the same products seem more special ❤

I really want the Sirena shade in this formula. I love a golden warm bronzer. Thank you for pointing out the size difference in this new packaging vs their current packaging. I got it in the red packaging that’s $2 less but you get more product! 🤗l

Thank you again for your detailed comparison which helps a lot. As you took out more and more Chantecaille’s old products, I felt like they are moving backward. It seems like they stop being creative in terms of their packaging and being clear about the meaning of the collection. But the good thing is their quality remains good.

Hi Lexi! I agree with you that Chantecaille should be upfront about repromotes. It certainly seems like this summer hasn’t had the beautiful collections that they have had in the past. Even Chanel has only come out with trial sizes of existing products for the Les Beiges collection. I have to say that I appreciate all the swatching you do, as I can tell that the colors in this collection are definitely not for me. Personally, I find the tone in Goa to be more flattering for my complexion, and am amazed at how similar the color looks compared to Pat McGrath’s Naked Honey, which I own. If I get anything, it will be something with a more neutral/cooler tone that I can use to sculpt with. I’m thinking about the Westman Atelier Sculpting Stick in Biscuit, since I really don’t have a sculpting product. But at least I have the beautiful Wild Flowers collection that Chantecaille came out with earlier this year. I definitely consider that a Spring/Summer collection!😊
Yes I thought that was a nice collection from Chantecaille and such beautiful packaging. I was hoping to see something more like that instead of this current summer collection.
Hi Lexi, enjoyed your honest review. If you are still thinking about the Hermes blush, I noticed the Asia-exclusive shade Rose Poivre is now on the Hermes site and at Selfridges. No one really covered this color in reviews, I had to order mine from Australia. It’s the best color imo.

This was super helpful Lexi I only wish I’d seen it before I ordered right when they were released! I already have Sirena, and the shade of the highlighter isn’t my fave. I will say though that the Guerlain meteorites palette is one of my all time favorites thanks to your influence and I’ll definitely hit pan on it someday and I will be so sad!! Anyway love all the comparisons and your take on this collection. I was suckered into the gorgeous packaging. I have not used mine yet so I’m contemplating taking it back to Nordstrom! Such a tough decision!! I’ll probably end of keeping them as I hate returning products lol.
I'm sorry Bonnie! I wouldn't have ordered if I had known how warm these are either. I'm so glad you love the guerlain though!! I have to admit that I hate returning things too, but especially makeup. I usually try to see if someone else wants things first.

I totally agree with you and other commenters. I had heard that they were going to be repromotes. I do have Goa and the lip colors already. I totally agree with Eclat Du also. Bring that back!!!!

Angela rose was talking about chantecaille & said she was told that the donations to conversation etc that chantecaille really likes to promote, well only purchases made in the USA go to those programs. I’ve also learned it’s less than 2% in most cases, so…. What am I paying extra for then?
I agree, it's really pretty abysmal imo. They used to have a higher percentage go to donations but they had it set up differently so it was a lump sum and not a percentage but back then, they weren't as popular. I think they have kept similar total donation amounts but they have more sales now so it's a much smaller percentage. I also find it unfortunate that collections are promoted as being philanthropic and often it's only one or two of the items that actually are part of that program. I'm really hoping they make some sweeping changes.
Hi Lexi! :) Wow, that color of the bronzer on you is completely different than the one I have with The Real Bronze Siren. It's actually much more yellow, which is a shame. I saw information that the bronzer was reformulated with this edition. Thank you for your demo :)

I think companies want to play it safe by releasing either existing products in le packaging or just coming out with color stories that are all the same (aka Tom Ford imho). It’s such a shame because I love Chantecaille and Tom Ford but I’m not interested in their new releases that much. I was never a fan of Sirena, I much prefer the Sisley bronzer on me but I know that those yellow bronzers don’t work for everyone and that’s why I love the new Hermes so much! I can’t wait to try their new glow blushes actually. Thank you for the review Lexi, super helpful as usual. I don’t think I will be getting the highlighter, I’m happy with my Hermes and I like the new guerlain. I don’t like my cheeks to be glittery or metallic so I really appreciate the fact that you always say what the finish of the product actually is

It's pretty disappointing because they used to have releases that I always looked forward to and now I'm leaning against them. Hi Lexi. Great review and I agree with everything you said. I too was very disappointed in this collection and the last one as well. I usually purchase Chantecallie's entire collection's.The spring collection was nothing to get excited about.This summer collection is even worse. Both the bronzer and highlighter are re-promotes. The lip shades are boring. Hopefully Chantecallie will step it up or they've lost me as a customer. A shame as I've always loved the brand.

Hi Lexi! Thank you for investing in the bronzer and highlighter. I already suspected that both shades would be too warm and dark for me. I realize that Chantecaille needs to be more inclusive but ideally, that would mean releasing 2 or 3 versions of each new collection, for fair-light, medium and deep skin tones. I am disappointed for the third or fourth time in a row - I have not loved any Chantecaille collection since the brand was sold. I am really glad that I have backups of some of my favorites, like the Perle de lumière highlighter and both Hummingbird eye quads. Like you, I hope that Chantecaille will re-promote the Éclat Doux powder and I would also love a re-release of the gorgeous Butterfly quad. I remain somewhat hopeful that Chantecaille will eventually create a collection I love but I am certainly not betting on it. In spite of all this, I thank you very very much for featuring these two new compacts - and doing all those arm swatches (Gucci is still the best for fair skin tones). (BTW, I learned this week that the Hermes Rose Atacama highlighter won’t be available in Canada before mid-June, at the earliest !! - is it still your fave? If so, I will just bite the bullet and order from Selfridges.)

Wonderful video, very good, very detailed, thanks so much dear Lexi!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩Disappointed in Chantecaille as well here for more than 1 reason, it's that their skincare is so good, and their foundations, will not declutter any of their beautiful makeup. But from these beautiful makeup items, Lexi, i did not support when these were for charity. I watched the video of Angela van Rose, she did research, and only purchasing from the USA, than you support, so all the purchases i made, beautiful makeup, and yet, it does not say anything extra to me anymore, well, yes, fragrance free for my sensitive skin. @@LexiJong yes, still shocked here, the last years supporting nothing! They don't do a lot about emails etc. It is what it is. They have fantastic skincare and foundations, and some eyeshadows i still love, and the white pencil for the lower waterline i love, but i'm gonna count what i love and take a look what i can puchase somewhere else. But they have very soft, mostly without fragrance, or very light fragranced skincare as well, it's soooo good and sh*t they know it Lexi. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🐶🐶🤩🤩🎉🎉that's wonderful news Lexi, i hope very soon and can't wait to hear more about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ordered the whole collection yesterday through your Nordstrom link. I thought the Freesia sounded familiar, but I checked and didn’t own it. I’m pretty sure the bronzer I have is Goa, so this won’t be a repeat. I’ll have to confirm the highlighter isn’t a double for me as well. But I do agree; we shouldn’t have to guess if their releases are new or re-promotes. I do like Chanticaille, but it is heftily priced. Then again, I picked up a new blush and the new lipstick from Hermes and those are the same cost. Are you trying out anything from the Hermes Spring release?
I'm still deciding about the Hermes but I might try a new blush. I didn't realize there were new lipsticks (or are these the shines that recently came out). I've been so busy with school stuff that I must have missed the launch of the new blush shades but I recall seeing their preview before and I like their formula. I'll go take a closer look. I just checked and I have most of those new shades (just picked up Rose Bruyere recently) from when they launched at Selfridges a few months ago (I have a video with them here: ruclips.net/video/axUj0pKBwsY/видео.html). Definitely grabbing the blushes though!

But I have a ? for you. I was skimming thru your videos one Sunday afternoon, and I came across a review of a couple of different brands, and of one of them I’d, never heard. The product was a lip oil/gloss/slick; it was not in a stick form; I can’t recall the form it took. I remember the colors were much like the dark and moody colors of the Bobbie Brown lip oils you’ve tested - black, dark purple, dark red, etc. - but I don’t think they were Bobbi Brown. Might you recall the brand to which I refer? I remember going to the website and reviewing the colors, but I can’t for the life of me remember the brand. Any help, much appreciated. Best swatches ever! I already have Goa and Sirena , I love them both but yeah this is definitely lazy and dare I say, easy money. I have a lot of Chantecaille but don’t buy their products anymore. Every item I have is in broken packaging or broke because of the cheap packaging. And my makeup doesn’t leave my house I don’t drop it it’s just cheap plastic that breaks easily. Anyway thanks for the great video! i think Chantecaille has some work to do!

Wow. This is really disappointing more companies seem to do re promoting and I don’t like that ! If you are an influencer , it’s sad to spend and review kinda. I’m happy for your honesty. I think Surratt kills it in art, innovating releases
That's what I love about Surratt! They have great shades and they reuse them but they tell you that every time! They always identify the shades included and it's a great way to make use of things you already own.

Hi Lexi i agree with you, Chantecaille is becoming not my brand😳🤪 apart a few products, that i absolutely love such as their pink and bronze tints, i am not really interested. I havent bought any of LE items, from last year, well maybe just holiday luminizer. That was nice. I do have Serena from Positano collection, as duo with highlighter, but its too cool for me. But how shady for Chantecaille make this release, without disclosure 😡 Sick of brands, looking at us, like dumb consumers, “well we dont have to tell them, they will not notice and just buy” 😳 i hope that is going to backfire 🤣 anyways I am kind of fed up , with so many releases. There are a few brands that i always will be interested in, but for some products, i already found my holly grail ones, and i am not interested in trying anything else, unless its something so unique. I am good with foundations, between my favorites Valmont and Chanel both water fresh tints, and also i love the ultra le teint all day, especially for cooler months. Concealer Sublimage is ideal for me. Now i still searching for my holly grail bronzer. I hope that Hermes 03 is going to be that bronzer. I know that i will love formula. Thank you for flagging up this re-promote - it is very misleading of them not to disclose this. I have Goa already and really like it but would have been furious if I'd spent money on buying the same thing again and I am guessing that is what has happened/may happen with other beauty enthusiasts which is totally unacceptable. Really enjoyed the bronzer comparisons - that is going into my special "Lexi Jong' folder for when I replace the Goa 😊

I was too! I know they had planned on expanding the bronzer collection a few years ago so I was so sure they were introducing a new shade but I guess not.

Yes they did and the original information had purported it to be a silent partnership but maybe that isn't how it worked out.
@@LexiJong Sylvie Chantecaille was replaced a few weeks ago as creative director (or similar position) - no idea whether she stepped down willingly or the BoD wanted her out. We won’t know whether it’s a good move for a while.

I feel like the Beiersdorf acquisition is ruining their identity. This was another easy pass, mostly because I don't like or need those colors and they are turning into unjustifiable price gouging for pressed power, imo. I still spend a fair amount with them every year, but mostly on skincare. The "philanthropy" is now BS, so I wish they would quit misleading or allowing their PR influencers to mislead, but I have no problem with them raising awareness of different causes, but these are not "feel good" consumer products. I think I'm just stunned that they've gone from a feel good, unique, woman-led, family-owned luxury brand that competed, to me thinking Chanel, Gucci, Tom Ford, etc. are hot bargains with better options. I feel really sad saying it, but I'm not checking for them either. I don't understand, I would have thought MORE investment would have been made by the acquisition, but it seems like less and bizarre pricing. I hope they work this stuff out, because I want to love them again.
That is exactly how I feel and what I thought about the acquisition. I really hope they find their way back to their roots but I'm losing faith in them as a brand.
This is a disappointment indeed. I’ve always thought that Chantecaille is a bit shady, even with their animal collection. They always make it sound they give a most of the revenue from those products to charity, whereas if you read the small letters on their website, they only give around a dollar per product and the products are so expensive. Hence I don’t like when influencers say that “oh it’s so expensive but it’s for a good cause”. Just give your dollar to charity, no need to buy a product with the Chantecaille overpriced price tag. I love my Goa bronzer, even though I’m fair, although I was disappointed with the packaging when it came in the post - it is thin plastic. I tried a few of their other products, but they were all meh.
I agree - their philanthropic angle drives me crazy because it is pretty nominal per item now (it used to be more I believe) and I'm sure they get a tax cut for donating anyway. The packaging on the powder blushes and the bronzers are pretty bad - I agree! I wish they were metal.
Thanks for your honest review an opinion. Chantecaille tends to lash back at negative reviews and criticism. They have done that with other RUclipsrs who published negative or critical opinion. As a company I think they’re immature.

Wow, I can't believe Chantecaille has the nerve to call this a collection, a capsule, etc. The actual product packaging has nothing to do with the product inside and there is nothing innovative or out of this world about them. Why do a repromote? It's not like these are their top greatest hits of all time.
I couldn't agree more. Even if they wanted to do repromotes, there was a better way to approach this imo and they should be more upfront about it. The fact that their customer service agents give different information is also an issue. Even if they don't know anything, at least admit that rather than saying something erroneous.
I do think this is a lazy collection especially for their anniversary. It's an easy pass for me. I haven't purchased any of their products for quite some time. I do own and enjoy a number of their products but the brand has lost it's way, especially for the high price tag.

Dissappointing. For as much as this brand charges there is NO EXCUSE, for this. Phoning it in....YES....busy Signal....Totally. Damn. This is the begining of the end of this brand.
