Bro I saw em live and they were having technical difficulties, they did a little Q&A and I asked why they don't play, or even mention the old songs and stated "like when a jealous man find a gun or empty, score 22, and straight got shit down by them saying "that's not us man" I was deviated 🥺
@@SakuraShikari_SC the new stuff ain't got nothing on the classics. Seriously and when they changed up some of songs too.. horrible. They were amazing, one of the first gigs they did, small venue, was pretty damn awesome. Forgot who was headlining but everyone left after shikari lol. Fuck man, that is going back a long, long time.. sucks
I've been a fan for over 14 years and I'm just finding all the old songs and demos now and I'm over the moon with happiness. Enter Shikari will always be my favorite band of all time ! The journey they've been through with their music is so beautiful and inspirational.
For sure man xD right after wish by alien ant farm on pro skater 3 then throw in my own worst enemy for good measure 😁 dont you miss 90s and 2000s punk and skate culture? What an era..
Oh shit so here it is. Ive been a shikari since 2007/08 and i am a big Rooster teeth fan and have been for around 5 - 6 years. I re-listen to old podcasts and this song was used for an RT podcast fan made intro over 6 years ago and i heard it the other day when i listened to the podcast. I had either forgotten this song or never heard about it until now but i am freaked out how coincidental that is.
probably my favorite of their old songs. I drove 9 hours to see their show in pomona, california. fuckin best day of my life, sometimes i wish i lived in the UK
Only needed to here those opening rifts to rush the dancefloor with all my pissed up friends to work ourselves up in a crescendo of dancing and good times. Fucking miss times like that. Thanks Shikari for supplying the tunes.
One of the most underrated and greatest bands of our era. I compare them to rage and nirvana in the way theyve moved and influenced me throughout the years. I literally cry tears of joy hearing this and take to the skies. So many memories of skating and falling asleep to this stuff through the darkest of times and best of times
Haha this was an early Enter Shikari demo/EP that was never 'officially' unreleased, which is why it doesn't appear on Spotify. The same goes for a lot of their earlier stuff: 'Nodding Acquaintance', 'The Bearer of Bad News' etc.
Agree is correct. I often rather think that they sing out what I think. I like the way they are going. They stick to the trend while still being above every band I know. That is true especially for their texts. Sincerly, another german fan ^^
@WUTBM Supposedly the reason why their style changed in between TTTS and CD is because Rou damaged his voice from screaming, so they moved in a more mellow direction.
@OhHiThereImOwen Yeah your right, and the best thing is it's still bloody amazing, and I love it. Also love what Rou said before Zzzonked at Reading Festival 2010, "We are Enter Shikari and we've been abusing music genres worthless boundaries since 2003." Damn right!
@AnonDJ enter shikari aren't happy hardcore as in the genre of dance music, but on their myspace it says they are happy hardcore, but i think they mean that in the sense that they are hardcore music but with positive attitudes in it, upbeat hardcore
I honestly like Shikari's integration of electronics and post-harcore. I think theyll cut bak on the dubstep, but i agree. I wish they would make more songs like this
Well you're right, that's really missing but I guess that's the way the progress went with their music. They want to show off what's wrong with the world in their opinion and so they make it serious so they will be heared. AndI have to confess, I agree with their opinions. But still, you're right buddy, missing some fun songs too but not that much ;) Sincerly, a german fan ;)
no no no, just use the stuff they recorded years ago, when they re-did the classics like Mothership for Take to the Skies, they took away the rawness which made ES even more awesome
No, people accuse them of becoming mainstream when they change their style to become more radio friendly, which they undoubtedly have. I mean I still think Enter Shikari's new stuff is decent, but I like their older stuff (take to the skies, the zone and the demos) considerably more.
@metal4liferawr i completely fucking agree! they should do it to every song on the EP no joke cuz with how much different Rou's voice is. We Can Breathe In Space on Tribalism is epic
They should redo this song bc now Rou's vocie is more mature and this song would be better if it was redone.... I'm sure it would be a hit:) ENTER SHIKARI!!!!!!!!!!!!
How do you know that Enter Shikari's so good? Even their bad songs are catchy and good. Not saying Jealous Man is a bad song, but yeah, you get the idea.
@JonnyJustSpunkiied I do like Common Dreads, but I think it's too much of a hange for most of the old-school fans... Yeah TTTS and the demos were my favourtie but what can you do?
Well, on my opinion Enter Shikari is the fucking best thing I ever heard, may it be the old or the new stuff. Of course the old songs kicks ass, but the new songs like on Tirbalism and Common Dreads does the same. I really enjoy see in wich way they progress with the music and I like the way they changed. I don't know why everybody is so disappointed about their change. Sorry for any grammatical mistakes, I'm german and my english is not as good as it should be :D
people saying shikari has become mainstream.. since when? Most of the pople, maybe all the shikari fan comments I have readen have sayed that TTTS is better, so have they gained more fans with Common? Propably few, but my point is that they totally weren't fishing any fans with Common. They made something new and fresh, this band wants to evolve all of the time, and that's only a good thing.
His voice wasn't as mature, he'd just started out and to me, it was just them before they began to explore the darker, metal and synthesized type of thing that everyone loves these days! I love how he's got his Hertfordshire accent shining through as well, I think many would agree this is one of their old masterpieces!
Anyone here right now reading this, big up and one love! Shikari forever
2021 says hello
Love Shikari forever and ever ❤ im only 23 but this was my hs years for sure
Hello from 2022

Still jamming this gem! Since 2009 thank you Jose Marchan for putting me on

I wouldnt mind hearing this re-done on their new album, especially as they're re-doing We Can Breathe In Space.
This comment is so amazingly ancient
@@smashhero2440 a remake of this would still be sick tho
@@P.Trick93 oh hell yeah id love an album of re-recorded oldies from their hyrbryd/CNN/NE days. Shit was hype
THEYRE RE MAKING WE CAN BREATHE IN SPACE?!?! Oh wait this comment is 13 years old lmao
@@Superblood I thought the same thing after reading that lmao. Realized im 14 years late
This sounds like it belongs in a Tony Hawks Pro Skater soundtrack lol

About time we got a re-recording of this banger
Havn't heard this song for years. Still so goood!
This gives me such late 2012 vibes I love it. Reminds me of growin weed and going shopping at whole foods lol
Just now finding this song in my recommended. Wish there was a version of this on Spotify! cheers

Alex Cairns did you know Gavin directed the video for Jonny Sniper
Holy shit no way aha thats mad i guess thame isnt too from from st albans.... he isn't really into shikari on any level is he?
I don't know. if you rewatch the video you can see all the classic gavin aspects
Alex Cairns Apparently Ray listens to Shikari from time to time.
HOLY SHIT I never did realise that RT likes ES!
3.19 onwards is just epic, when Rou comes in with his screaming, and with Chris' vocals over the top, awesome!! ES r amazing!
How does this song still sound so damn good
damn listen to how young they are!! they sound like 16!
matt crisp That's sooooooooooooooooooooo far off 16...
Lookosone He was saying his estimate was accurate aha
RedmeashaStudios I.... Don't even know how I managed that...
i.e when they were real good xD
Егор Цыба this is a bit later, from the SYNAW single

Init, Mani Apollo used to go off when they came and played here. Think I saw them on the same tour like 3 different times. Was so sick.
If only i couldve been there to experience that time :')
2023 this song is amazing, I wished they remake it
just so you know
they don't have a record deal
they're a completely independent band
which i think is amazing
They've come in leaps and bounds since this comment!
Love it ❤️
They’re still self published 12 years later!
This comment like a time machine.

Still here in 2018! Why I can't find this song on Spotify?
Daniele Carissimi been waiting for it for so many years :[ I have all the original shikari on a disc somewhere... But not the same
This era / take to.the SKIES Demo's will . always be the best gutted there not on Spotify
Spotify sucks ass
Because Spotify is not cool enough for classic Shikari
Haha this was an early Enter Shikari demo/EP that was never 'officially' unreleased, which is why it doesn't appear on Spotify. The same goes for a lot of their earlier stuff: 'Nodding Acquaintance', 'The Bearer of Bad News' etc.
They're are brilliant. Old and new. They're part of the very few bands I could never get bored of. :)
Still not bored?
they released a four song ep before take to the skies. Sorry Youre Not A Winner EP. Its pure gold. Damn near impossible to find unless you pirate it.
Sounds like saves the day
enter the day
Qué recuerdos!!!! No me canso nunca de Enter Shikari...
Haven't heard this in more than a decade. Looking back, it reminds me a lot of Hundred Reasons for some reason.
I miss this shit....
You sir, have so much win for that comment. It takes a lot for a youtube comment to convey such emotion, and such authority, nicely done.
Agree is correct. I often rather think that they sing out what I think.
I like the way they are going. They stick to the trend while still being above every band I know. That is true especially for their texts.

Woop woop! Good ol enter shikari is still the best
I'm glad Rou ditched the American accent
i thought this was a different person
@WUTBM Supposedly the reason why their style changed in between TTTS and CD is because Rou damaged his voice from screaming, so they moved in a more mellow direction.

Sometimes when i hear badass breakdown in a song, i tend to laugh because of it's perfection.. This breakdown made me laugh in class
no no no, just use the stuff they recorded years ago, when they re-did the classics like Mothership for Take to the Skies, they took away the rawness which made ES even more awesome
@JonnyJustSpunkiied yeah rou has a scream voice but his technique was wrong cos he was using his throat which fucks up your voice etc.. :P
What a legend track ❤
I got to the secondary school they went to
You're right, can't stop listening to the album A Flash Flood Of Colour ;)
love thier old stuff and new stuff :)
the part before the sniffsniff is just amazing, the whole song should end in there.
Best shikari song forever
i for one am glad rou's voice matured
No, people accuse them of becoming mainstream when they change their style to become more radio friendly, which they undoubtedly have. I mean I still think Enter Shikari's new stuff is decent, but I like their older stuff (take to the skies, the zone and the demos) considerably more.

well said dude lol, people on this get so obsessed with being correct that they just move away from the point of appreciating things :P
yeh im off to see them at hull uni to gunn be awesome(: btw where didyou guys get your tickets from? ty

@TheMikeryan10 yeah they're in their twenties now, but when this song was released they were late teens
Immense song!! I wish they'd play this live, It's my fave Shikari song :) I fucking love the scream Rou does at 4:03 :O

True Legend!
i have never heard any of these songs.........i found out about them when take to the skies came out is there an album with theses songs on ????
WHAT A-BOUT.... THY O-THERS!
It's a very old song. I'm not sure if it's on any B-sides, but a lot of people have it. This is the only version I know of.
@DeanEnterShikari actual there genre is called "BADASS"
Its not in an album seanatin07 its an EP but the EP is named Sorry Your Not A Winner
Tbh It Looks More Neat :) It Depends What Mood I'm In sometimes i type without it Sometimes I Type With It
You have a point, but this is still a kick-ass song. I kind of miss this style. New stuff is great, but I miss these vocals, they seem edgier.

actually, it was rou rob and chris, rory was the one who came into the band to form 'Enter Shikari' (:
This is really cute to be honest
They've changed their sound. I see your point but its not like you can hear many similarities to them here and to Take To The Skies.
Awesome track!
I take back my previous comment, this song is immense. Rou really needed singing lessons, though.
@Freropol Lol! hell yeah, man. They should make a new genre called
Enter Shikari lol! these guys are the shit
please hold out till common dreads is released, its ammaaaaazing!

true. nothing to say against that. but please get me right: I want them to have one or two songs of the album, that are just for fun :)
