Yes I had the same issue with my android phone. I use an iPhone now cannot control the phone from the screen like an android but it works with no issues.

How good is the call quality via Bluetooth? How well is the person on the other end hearing you while driving and talking? On scale of 1-10? Also could an external mic be connected?
It’s quite decent, I have an external mic on this unit. I’ll give it a 7. I’m using an iPhone. The range of the Bluetooth is about 4-5 meters. The built in on screen mic is not best so I suggest an external mic. It’s an impressive unit
@@worthowaste I bought a 1710 by U$80 last week, the eq, system, bluetooth, is ok, i don't liked speakers outputs, i found weak and bluetooth microphone is too bad

Nakamichi use to be a high end hi/fy awesome japanes radio manufacturer but it was bought by the chinese geeting the people fool by the previus quality , same with blaukpunk all chinese cheap radios that still look like nakamichi awesome radios made by japan, so sad

@@worthowaste I did all that and still can't find it.. it's like it is Off from the stereo so my Phone can't find it.. i try it with my wife iPhone and nothing 😔.. I hope it's nothing with the connections in the wiring harness and stuff..
@@worthowaste I saw in video's where in other basic 2din headunit they load any wallpaper you want in pendrive and the open that image in the player and set wallpaper option will be displayed, not yet tried in nakamichi

You may go to Setup, and put the brake control off. Or you can wire the brake control to make this work.

How do you take the head unit off to push the reset button? My unit has stopped working and it is suggested to reset it or replace a fuse?
The reset button is in the front of the unit, be careful not to press the mic. I like to use a tooth pick

that was not carplay, that was just screen sharing, is this compatible with carplay? or not?

I have my reverse camera setup but it isn’t showing up when I reverse. Is is something I press to turn it on
I haven’t connected my reverse camera yet. But I’m sure that you have to connect a wire from your reverse light to a trigger/switch wire on the unit

You can that in the settings if you have the same model or you may have to bridge the hand brake wire.

I have the matching Nakamichi speakers, not very high wattage sounds good. The blue tooth does seem to work only when you siting in the car.

Nakamichi is a japanese company, awesome auto radios, glad to see they got into touch 2 din.
Nakamichi got bought by the Chinese.
Nakamichi is no longer legendary as they were in the 90s.

One of the wires works basically like memory
Either red or yellow. One has to be ignition and the other has to be battery positive. Try swoping then around. Be very careful

My Android can't find the Bluetooth of the nakamichi stereo 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤷♂️.. it was before but not anymore 🤷♂️
Put the Bluetooth on the phone first. Switch the stereo on off then on again using the button on the stereo.

Bluetooth sometimes don’t work so well. Bet you even tried the reset button

I connected the illumination wire to the park light switch. And in Settings I put head light detection on.
