Hi everyone thank you for all of your support so far, I am forever grateful.
Disclaimer: I take my job very seriously and I do not intentionally break any rules ever. At out store the entire crew works very hard to maintain a clean and sanitary workplace to ensure optimal customer satisfaction. Let me know if you spot anything out of the ordinary in the comments below and I will be more than happy to explain.
Something about short order line cooking that is very satisfying to work through, I think it's the sort of meditative trance you can really get into when you can just focus on the work and having that sort of clear communication with your team is so important to the smooth flow of work.
They just work hand and hand, open communication and being a cook in ANY kitchen.
They are missing the grill master and he cooks everything to timely ordered precision, they are just prepping them way to early.. yeah I could do that for you for but not for 15 dollars an hour. Their timing is way off. They don't even have a heat pad for the buns why are they prepping them before moving them over here? Onions can be grilled and semi caramelized in 1 min on iron skillet... I can heat a bun in 3 seconds while the meat is on cooldown lol what right now? Using the press to dry them out lol? I got a burger for you in 5 min better than that. Doesn't even need cheese or bacon.
I worked my way through University working in nothing but restaurants before I moved onto my engineering career. This operation is absolutely beautiful, clean, no cross contamination, efficient and to be quite honest, I think I might head to 5 guys for dinner now. Always treat your fast food workers with dignity and respect! IT'S HARD WORK!!!
I am still having back pain for last night's closing
I think my favorite station was the dressing station when I worked at Five Guys. Mainly because it was kind of the easiest thing to do while on the line. In some ways, watching these videos kind of makes me miss my days at Five Guys! Had great managers, and coworkers. Plus, I had free burgers and fries for lunch, so that was always a win for me! Also working there made me appreciate their food way more as well! Best Burgers and Fries around!
Feels like five guys is what mcdonald's should of been. Keep the videos coming. Hoping to see the grilling station again. In the meantime I'm gonna go to five guys located right down the street from me.
no its not what mcD should have been. McD is already an international power house. no need to put down the company.
@@jonathandpg6115 McDonald's food is garbage tho I don't know why people still eat that low budget trash.
@@jonathandpg6115technically they're correct though. This is what the founders Richard and Maurice McDonald envisioned with their restaurant, before Ray Kroc bought the company and ruined the business of the original founders. He bought the rights to the brand, the original founders still had their restaurant called "The Big M" where they operated as they envisioned, but Ray Kroc destroyed it by opening a McDonald's right nextdoor and forced them to close it down.
I have actually always followed the same way that Five Guys constructs their burgers because I think it makes a lot of sense with the sauce and onions on the bottom and vegetables on top. I even do the swirl thing despite never working there.
aren't you just so amazing you must be really proud!
@@Gershw1nn You seem like the kind of guy who puts the vegetables under the patty
@@Im49th when?
Believe me there is some real thought behind the burger dressing process it's quiet surprising how much we do to ensure y'all have the best burger possible man
@@Im49th Yooo, the guy is a dick but don't come back at him with that! I put vegetables under the patty because i use thick burguers and they release some juice, something under will help isolate the juices from the bun and less chance of it becoming soggy.
I appreciate your attention to detail like turning the faucet off with the towel after washing your hand or changing gloves when moving to a new station I know a lot of cooks who don't give stuff like that much thought.
Worked at a location in San Diego and cleanliness is always number 1 at five guys. They were cleaner than a high end Nordstrom restaurant I worked at if I'm being honest.
not to be that guy but, he wiped his hands with the towel he just used to turn off the faucet lol defeats the purpose of non cross-contaminating
i remember being a shift lead at a 5guys and we usually sanitized the sinks pretty often so i guess it doesnt matter
@@xbaloke you should watch it again he turns the towel over to the side he didn't use and then immediately throws it away.
Imagine thinking they use the same practices when not being filmed
Im excited for another grill POV. Idk why this type of content intrigues me so much. I watch Stephen Patula the MCDs POV and its pretty cool too but this is more like actual grilling. Keep it up, hopefully 5 guys notices the publicity youre beinging in and does something cool for you.
happy to say that Ive been here since the beginning when this channel grows exponentially
love the content man keep it up cant wait for the next upload
Since I work at a Five Guys I had to subscribe. Keep up the great work.
I can't wait to see you blow up in views and subscribers you have so much potential ❤️
Love the videos. Keep up the great work!
I like how you didn't short that last burger half a strip of bacon because the other one fell off 👍
I appreciate everyone working at Five Guys. My favorite burger to eat hands down and the proof is in the taste.
Needs royalty-free lo-fi music
Just subbed. Love this kind of fast food content
Thanks for your video! Love from your subscriber in London
Been waiting for this!! "Another One!"
You're doing a great job! Keep at it! Just subbed! :)
new on ur channel love seeing the behind the scenes keep making videos❤
The growth of a beautiful channel
You make it look so easy! I am going to try the mushroom, cooked onions and bacon toppings.
Mad respect, because the staff at 5guys are committed a quality experience.
This was a tough station to master but it’s also one of the teams favorite positions. Everyone’s different but my faves were fry. Grill, dressing, and then cash.
That bacon save at the end. My heart ❤️ 🥓🥓
Yes more 5 guys thank you 🙏
Nice keep these coming
Freaking awesome! When I worked at McDonald's and Wendy's, no one washed their hands when they clocked in, except me. My next burger will be 5 guys and then on.
Another banger
Might be expensive but everything is fresh like they cook the bacon everyday before opening and the frys are fresh cut everyday as well. Now that I think about it everything is prepped before opening. Best burger joint out there
So that's why I need a CO signer on a loan to have a meal here. You guys actually put a little care and effort into assembling your burgers. Fresh ground beef grilled on a flat top right in front of you. Big fan.
Yet another classic from the Burger Chad ™
I love it.
I find how quiet it is unnerving. I'd need the radio on or something. Still, great video. Enjoyed it.
awesome!
This makes me want to make a visit to five guys!
I'm starting work next week and you have inspired me to try and do something similar at the Starbucks that I will be at. Out of curiosity what do you use for your camera/ how do you mount it?
Ok I’m convinced your Stephen spatula , sound the exact same & everything lol
He's clearly a human and not a spatula
As a former five guys employee this is very accurate
Your toppings setup should be like subway - in a line - you keep going back and forth carrying the buns. should just go down the line...
It was pretty slow while recording so it doesn’t really matter. When it’s slow I take my time.
Ive worked for shakeshack and now working at in n out but wow it seems so easy and slow at five guys. Wish it was this easy
edge to edge on that mayo spread buddy, just joshin ya
I wish I recorded my pov at chipotle. Always a interesting time....
Ya know what’s funny about those automatic paper towel dispensers? A lot of R&D goes into making one paper towel enough to properly dry your hands. 🙃
Great video. However, I have been a member of the 1 paper towel club for some time now. 3 is just too many for a myriad of reasons lol.
Wow very good
As much I like Five Guys, they are having a hard time in Texas so many of them are closing due to competition. It's over $15 here just to get a cheeseburger meal when you can go down the road and get something for under $10.
Like from Poland:))
Just had Five Guys here in Australia. ❤
Bro boutta get the crunch of a lifetime 5 pickles?
oh god you get this person that makes ur food
Whenever you return we need a grilled cheese video
Everyplace i go i ask for EXTRA ketchup because it seems nobody puts enough on. Especially Wendy's, any ketchup they put on soaks up into the bun including their version of EXTRA ketchup. It looks like a decent amount here, i just hate dry burgers.
that is alot of ketchup my friend 😝
Does the ticket have the condiments in it?,I have training tomorrow and I just want to be able to get grasp of what a ticket would have
I wish the prevailing fast-food culture was that workers took their time.
After watching this, NO MORE MCDONALD'S
Real bros keep it real and replace the bacon like you did keep on keeping it real
when is part four... i need part four
Can I ask why the 9th pan inside the metal pan for sauce bottles
dOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THAT DREAM WHERE THEY ARE BACK WORKING AT FIVE GUYS AND YOU CANT REMEMBER HOW TO PROPERLY DO YOUR JOB?
we should try to get the mayo all they way to the edge of the buns and make sure to put a nice even coat of lettuce just enough to cover the bun in order to prevent loss of lettuce off the sides and so the burgers are easier to wrap
"we"..lol nah , be quiet lil gamer,, , I know you are insecure, and need to act like you are in charge, ......but you are not. so why dont we go ahead get over your spectrum issues kiddo. UR Dismissed
Ngl man, you need to put way more mayo on them burgers lol. You’re very generous with other toppings tho which I appreciate, it’s just the mayo
Nice work! I prefer a little more mayo... Omw!
One bun at a time. Orders should never touch the white board.
nice
Why does the the bun have ketchup on both top and bottom bun? It doesn’t seem like it says it on the receipt.
Double bacon cheeseburger with mayo and fried onions, please! 🤤
this makes me wanna make a buncha burgers with extra bacon
This is why you should keep your ketchup and mustard out your freezer so it comes out directly
Nobody keeps ketchup/mustard in the freezer. You don’t even need to refrigerate with a high vinegar content
What Big Al said is true, also, everything in a deep pan such as the condoment bottles, and the food prep station, all is cooled underneath. If you watch this channels video on the grill POV, you can see the cheese is kept in a cooled envirment even when sitting out.
Do you open or close? Either or you should do a pov of what that is like at your location!
Know the whole routine by heart from working there one time for 6 months
I have a question:
If you got an order, does it show how to do the order, or its just written what was ordered?
Making me feel hungry
separate the lettuce from the onion, 5 guys always mixes onion in accidentally with lettuce when it falls in.
Would love to see a prep video to see how the patties are formed and how the cheese is processed. Dose someone go through the work to cross the cheese or dose it come in like that. I'd be flabbergasted if it just came in like that but i'd be even more impressed that someone takes the time to do it lol. but it's all about the technique.
I don't work at five guys but I do work in a kitchen. I am going to guess that someone (the person doing grill) crosses the cheese slices when they take it from the container they keep it in. As for the burgers, I have no idea because I work in a little nicer of a kitchen.
As someone who worked there, they definitely take the time to cross the cheese. Patties are one of the longer peeps in the morning, hand rolled to a specific weight and individually separated with paper to make it easier for the grill person to grab when cooking.
we roll and press the meat every morning, and we stack cheese every morning as well
Can’t wait for closing the grill pov and the camera gets completely foggy from the steam
Hi Guys Sometime I Wear A Face Mask In Public Because Sometime My Nose Is Runny Nose Ok Guy's
how do u do this, gopro or smthn?
No lettuce wrap or bowl presentation.
to much walking seems like it could be to many steps when it gets busy and relish fork will get a cros product on it for next use
I just got hired to work at 5 guys and tips or advice
ok whoever gets cooked onions and raw onions is a pshyco path
They usually omit my A1 sauce 😞
I was a grill man
Little sandwich Artist
Watching this makes me want a burger and chips from five guys … LOOK WHAT YOU’VE DONE TO ME 🤣 … going to get one brb.
They don’t sell chips. Only fries 🍟
@@bigal5190 In the UK we call them Chips
@@RedDogs27 No shit Sherlock
Waaaaay to heavy on the condiments Dude !!!! People pay a LOT for this Premium burger, they WANT to taste the damn BUGER, not over powered by Mustard, Ketchup, relist, etc !!!!!!!!!
is this why my buns are always soggy and falling apart
Sometimes I am in the mood for a little POV. Thank you Five Guys! Edit: 6:45 - You skimped on the mayo. YOU bad, bad, man. At least you threw away that piece of bacon that fell on the table and gave a fresh one. I would have stuck it right back on dat burger.
so if they only get ketchup it goes on both sides?
Indeed. 🤌
@@FastFoodPOV2what happen to you man 😢 I miss them videos
how you toast some buns without any fat, that is like bread without butter, jesus would be disappointed.
Been a shift lead at five guys the past 5 years. Perfect form. Only thing i can see is the amount of mayo you put on. Not nearly enough.
Leaf village ketchup
😂😂😐
This must be a low volume store they move so slow! Y’all gotta get your sense of urgency 2 minutes to dress a 4 sandwich order???😅
That is the most unofficial way of washing hands I have ever seen. I thought you were supposed to wet your hands first then get soap and scrub for 15 seconds rinse then dry the hands. But nevertheless I liked this video
Nobody getting mustard on their burger?
grab the top and bottom buns off the grill together - too much going back and forth.
I love the vids but am SHOCKED that the company doesnt have a problem with you posting these
wheres the mayo
Nice and slow lol.
