I love when employees show the inside of what goes on inside the restaurant. Five Guys food was always good, nice to see how it's made from the employees POV.
their business model is insane. you can go to any five guys in the country and the worker would seamlessly fit in because you dont have those machines like you find in mcdonalds for example
Cool video. But, I will be a bit picky since I worked at FiveGuys myself. I'll give you some heads up. The store looks clean and organized. All the food is properly setup and people seem to be doing well there. But, I did notice 2 major red flags. First, The potatos in the sink need to be at least 1 inch underwater. And they were clearly above water. That's a critical, be very careful with that. Second, Never use Clorox or greaser to clean the potato sinks. Those are for the floors and bathrooms only. Another Critical. Remember never to mix chemicals with food. Other than that everything looks great. Good job with the video.
@@FavCapricornn The customers tells you what they want. You push buttons to add the order. They pay with card or cash. It's very simple. But, usually you don't start register on your first day. You usually start to learn dressing, then grill, then fries, and finally register at the end along with shakes.
@@Bladeclaw00100 okay, thank you for this advice. Also 3 more questions. 1. Does it tell you all the burger names on the cash register? 2.Does it also tell you how much change they get back? 3. Can you also work on that one shift for the whole day? Oh, and can you also give me an example of what they will order and what you have to press.
@@FavCapricornn 1. Yes the names are Abbreviated. You still have to enter the toppings manually. It's very easy. 2. Yes the register will display the change amount. 3. But, in the beginning you usually will only work one shift a day which is either morning or afternoon.
If i may I suggest that five guys restaurant needs udi's gluten free burger buns, and dairy free cheese slices for the beef, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and pickles, and bacon with ketchup to put in udi's gluten free burger buns, and dairy free cheese slices, and udi's gluten free hot dog buns for the hot dog, and chili, and onions, and ketchup, and mustard to put in udi's gluten free hot dog buns.
@@ryancroy I live in California and there's no such thing as gluten free burger buns or dairy free slice of cheese but there are veggies sandwiches for vegan people tho. Edit: this is coming from myself who is working at five guys
@@adrianagustin6982 Yeah, I highly doubted that there was gluten or dairy free stuff in a five guys anywhere. It just doesn't seem like Five Guys' style.
you kind of just apply as a regular crewmember and when you start working, they usually train you to do almost everything. But im not sure if it varies by location.
Technically your right. It's supposed to be from the bottom to the top. But as long as they are flipping the patties in the same manner using fifo they will come out the same way. That rule is mostly to keep the fifo order the same if the grill person steps away and someone else takes over. As long as they communicate that they should be fine.
@@Yani-rk4tl ok so the questions completely depend on the person interviewing you; because I have seen interviews since being hired that took way longer than mine. if it’s the gm of the store it will be longer than mine, since the assistant manager did mine. the questions were how did you find out about us, what makes you want to work here, how much do you want to be paid, do you live around here, all super basic questions that really need no preparation. my tip would be just go in and have a genuine conversation and not prepare lines because chances are if your five guys does need help they will want you. super informal so just don’t overwork yourself about it
@@bakedbombshell1694 Hi bro do you get a lot of tips? I got engaged like 2 days ago and they say the pay is 15$/h but with tips it goes to 19-20$/h but I ain’t too sure about that (haven’t started working btw)
As a former 5 Guys worker, thing u don’t want to know should be kept that way. While the food is fresh, the employees mostly aren’t. I’ve seen Jose picking, farting in bags and other nasty things. That why I quit.
