@V_George The Christian's bibles are just very badly mistranslated and corrupted versions of the Torah/Tanach (The Real Word of G_d) with a lot changed including names, a whole lot added, and a whole lot taken out. Everything that G_d said not to do, Christianity did! Christianity lies! NO Hebrew/Jew was ever named Jesus, nor John, nor especially James. There is no letter J in the Hebrew alephbet nor does any of the Hebrew letters even make a J sound. Try actually reading the scriptures where G_d gave the Torah and the Commandments to Mosche and the Children/Nation of Israel on Mt. Sinai. G_d specifically told them in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendents all through time are to Never veer to the right nor left of the Torah/Tanach! Never!!! Do you understand what that means? G_d also told them in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendents all through time are to Never accept anybody else's religion! Never!!! Do you understand what that means? The One True Creator G_d also warned not to add to, nor subtract from the Torah/Tanach, but Christianity did it anyway. He is a false teacher. The Bible is God's word that has no errors. Jesus foretold of false prophets in the latter days. He said to beware because many of them would show up. Read and study God's word. Don't believe these false religions that lead you away from Jesus. He is the true Messiah and will one day set up His kingdom. He's a false teacher. Study God's holy Word, and you will find the truth. Pray and ask God, the real God, who created the heavens and the earth, to open your spiritual eyes to His word. Common sense is the key word in understanding Rabbi Tovia, and not only mentally understanding but actually see him putting the misplaced pieces in there proper place where it should be in the first place...
There are 4 levels to all biblical verses, Pshat, Remez, Drash, Sod, "PaRDeS" פרדס "orchard". Never can any of the deeper levels (Remez, Drash, Sod) ever contradict or over-ride the simple meaning of the text (Pshat). As the talmud says "אין המקרא יוצא מידי פשוטו", the simple meaning is always the simple meaning, that in which the Creator has levels and levels of deeper intention and meaning in His words which our tradition from the prophets pass down, never ever is a case of "reappropiating" verses G forbid.
The simple meaning of the text, the allusions, the hermeneutical interpretations, and the mystical meanings.
True. The deepest meaning, Sod, does not contradict the simple meaning. As the level of hermeneutics deepens, it only adds spice and colour, not misinterpreting the basic meaning
So if she recognizes, you need to be well studied. I hope she does it and she will come to the conclusion. That Judaism is the word of God.😊
My heart goes out to her because as an ex-christian, she sees Rabbi Singer as an enemy of the gospel and is fearful of the truth he shares. I felt desperate to see others accept salvation too and see the gospels as absolure truth. Rabbi, I did take up the challenge, wrote down as many verses as I could find online that claim Jesus is the Messiah. So far, none of them has anything to do with neither the Messiah nor Jesus. It doesnt even have the word "the", if they wanted to claim the psalm is speaking aramaic it shouldve said "תנשקו את הבר" not "נשקו בר" "kiss son" makes no sense. The word בר used all over psalms to mean purity, and the word son בני is used just few verses earlier, no aramaic in psalms.

Basically she is emotional. She says you're not supposed to take verses out of context but yet that's what Christians do take verses out of context. She is upset that he makes sense. And if she believes this is what they do why are they relying on the Jewish Scripture to prove trinity? To be a Chr1stian you have to throw away logic. It's a very emotional religion. Paul makes sure he tugs on the heartstrings saying Jesus is Lord and he loved us so much he died for all the worlds sins. Sounds good it tugs on your hearts if you don't think logically you will believe it you want it to be true because you're emotional when you are emotional you don't think rationally. But when you think about it. G-d can't die period the end. What makes G-d G-d? The fact that He can't die and He knows everything! So if someone comes saying they are G-d and doesn't know everything and dies they can't be G-d they are a fraud! Jesus was a Prophet sent by G-d he can't be G-d. It doesn't matter what Paul says, Mark, Luke, Matthew, or John says G-d can't die and the fact they were able to convince people that G-d can die and Him rising again is a miracle is mind boggling. If Christian theology would attempt to expand upon revealed truth in the Tanach instead of replacing it and often negating Tanach truth, they might be granted some sense of respect. If not accepting Jesus equates to "hell" then how much more would G-d punish a hellenized interpretation of the Text.

I get so tired of people who disagree with each other, accuse each other of lying just because they find it too hard to believe that the other person believes different things than them. Even if tovia was wrong, there is a thing called being mistaken, then there is a thing called lying. If you think the things that you are saying is true but it turns out they are not, it simply means you were honestly mistaken. On the other hand, if you do not believe the things you are saying and you are trying to pass them off as truth, then that constitutes lying.. and I am so tired of hearing both religious and non-religious people accuse each other of lying on these subjects. There are literal and spiritual meanings to be considered in every single passage. And while many believe that prophecy is only fulfilled one way and so one time is an error, as they are also guides to understand the character of God, what He will do in certain situations, and written for 'times', 'times within times', and for half of 'times', as all time will swing between (2) status' - that being light & dark, or maybe expressed as abundance and lack. There is nothing 'new' under the sun.
Most of these issues arise with the advent of the breaks in scriptures providing for reference points to locate sections within the writings; and serve mostly to allow people to cherry pick at the context like finicky ravens who are eating only certain parts of the 'bread'.
Paul's wrttings are a great example of this 'opportunity' and greatly so because he was paid 7 minas for every coma he used in his thus difficult to understand writings, and are even warned in 2 Peter 3:15 about thisx with all the verse breaks compounding the problem.
I have found myself 'backing up' entire chapters when reading what Paul wrotex in order to get to the sometimes cryptic detail that gives context to the telephone book that follows and cements the points he is making.
Jesus' teachings were based upon the idea (which I feel is most accurate as an interpretation) that there exists 'inside' of each person - a 'woman' - and one that bares BOTH seeds, good AND evil; and represent the 'works' or 'fruit' of a persons actions. These 'works' are thus divided by gender divisions wherein this 'son of man' is a barrier at the border of obedience or rebellion of the individual's works in question, with Numbers 23:19 defining one side of the 'choice', as the context given is obviously 'negative' regarding.
Thus, the verse that says, "will the son of man find faith" is not referring to a 'return' of a physical person, but instead of a spiritual annointing of someone, even anyone, and why there is mention of multiple 'christs', and even plural presentation of the 'sons of God' - though Jesus is the 'only one', which then is NOT referring to a single person, but instead, representative of the idea that there is only ONE WAY to be a 'son of God' and is directly related to a bar mitzvah... which is not a 'party' but a 'person'.
Jesus followed the context of the law so as to follow it's purpose NOT the letter, and thus could be seen as an example of fulfilling the laws purpose - not giving license to destroy it as Christians believe. On that point, I would offer that the law CANNOT be broken - as it is given as promises of blessings AND curses, and this connection to ones actions is binding and immutable - regardless of one's knowledge of it - Romans 2: 12-14 is clear.
As for being called out of Egypt, it is literally speaking of Israel and Ephraim, but spiritually should be understood more 'globally' as deliverance through sufferring, and suffering from the promised curses that come as a result of rebellion against God's commands and expectations.
Simply? Do what is right and fear God above fear of any man. Love those around you as to be a blessing to them, and thus 'God prevails' or maybe is then 'unvailed' - this is the 'meaning' of the name, which also represents a 'title' of ANY person... 'Israel'.

My issue with Christianity is that it reallocates scripture for it's purpose. This was prevalent in the mainstream 3 decades ago. This reallocation becomes set as "original" and then when contexted properly, back to it's intent, Christians protect it as if offended. הַגִּ֣ידוּ וְהַגִּ֔ישׁוּ אַ֥ף יִוָּֽעֲצ֖וּ יַחְדָּ֑ו מִ֣י הִשְׁמִיעַ֩ זֹ֨את מִקֶּ֜דֶם מֵאָ֣ז הִגִּידָ֗הּ הֲל֨וֹא אֲנִ֚י יְהֹוָה֙ וְאֵֽין־ע֚וֹד אֱלֹהִים֙ מִבַּלְעָדַ֔י אֵל־צַדִּ֣יק וּמוֹשִׁ֔יעַ אַ֖יִן זֽוּלָתִֽי:
Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God, and there is no other.
