I've been to multiple different denominations of Christian churches and it is all so off. Can't reason with most of them though.

I've been reading from the JPS English translation of the Tanakh since the 1990s and in recent years have been reading from the WMB translation of the New Testament. A number of times, I have read through the Old and New Testaments in a year. This year, I chose to focus more deeply and decided to understand Isaiah from the jewish perspective. I very quickly learned that I would have to understand more about jewish culture and scholarship before I could even begin to approach jewish commentary. During this quest, I ran across your shows on JBS. I appreciate the effort you have put into both teaching Judaism and understanding christian teachings. I also value the sincerity of your thoughts. Of course you and I have some differences in beliefs and understandings, but I find a great deal of truth in your teaching. I also value your willingness to give the benefit of the doubt to the intended goodness of individual members of today's christian church, even in the light of historical atrocities. Your willingness to make your teaching so readily available to the public has helped me gain an even greater appreciation for g-d's chosen people and, in so doing, an even greater love of g-d. Thanks again.
It is truly amazing how the foundation of Christianity is based on manipulated and fabricated verses. It is even more amazing that they were able to gain momentum, establish themselves and have people following them blindly. This includes me until I started questioning the Christian Bible and Rabbi has helped me tremendously. They have done good work too, no doubt, charities, schools, orphanages everywhere on the planet. But it is amazing how they could reach so many people. I pray to HaShem to give us more people like Rabbi Singer so that people can follow the God of Israel. We were always Jewish on my mom’s side but we were not raised in Judaism. Fast forward, in the late 80’s I was an original in the JH and CCCH ministry. It (CC as a whole) was never a good fit for me. I used to lament over how bad I wanted to stop thinking, stop wanting to learn, stop asking questions and I begged G-d to help me just get in line with the narrative. Years later it seemed something just broke me and I had, had enough - enough of what you might wonder? Enough of the discouragement to learn beyond what pastors taught. CC’s model is to base all your learning and trust with faith in their oratory and the doctrine of the church. But, no matter how hard I tried, I could not stop looking for answers. Years of researching, years of painful spiritual moments, coupled with painful acceptance of the truth but yet peace was with me every step of the way, and all this led me back to the faith of family: Judaism. I knew Jack and Lisa personally, and I do think that ‘they think’ they mean well, even though what they offer is a terrible misguiding about Jews and Judaism. Thousands of followers of JH may also think they mean well too BUT, do they or do they not - I do not know for sure. IMO, I think a lot of it’s about the ego. Christianity is largely a religion about “being right” - in other words “I’m right and all of you Jewish people are going to find out at some point you are wrong” Judaism on the other hand says, “go look it up” “ask the questions” “study, learn, havruta” “read it over and over and then read it again” it is an entire lifetime of learning, and none of us has “arrived”, none of us is Moshe (which is a belief with all CCs - “the Moses model”); it is entirely the opposite approach of Judaism. It is massively soaked in the religious experience and not about living daily in faith. The #1 difference is level of reverence for G-d; the two are entirely different. As a Christian who believes Jesus is the Messiah, i've come to research Christian-Zionist beliefs and it really puzzles me. Not only was this viewpoint not preached among the first 1,500 yrs of any Church doctrine, but i can't find one passage in the N.T. where Jesus or any of his disciples ever mentioned acquiring land or taking back land. Jesus actually preached AGAINST THIS multiple times to his followers even before he descended to heaven! He said his kingdom was Heavenly and that the Jewish Temple would be destroyed within a generation (which it was in 70AD). Well, I've read the Christians' The Holy Bible ("Old" Testament and New together) well over 300 times not including extreme study, and I've read the Quran, and I've researched Buddhism and Hinduism, and I've experienced several several world cultures, and yet, nope, nothing changed. Even Quran says the Hebrew Scriptures are true and from GOD.
Yes we muslims believe it but we also say it got corrupted over time. By which extend is not said. We also believe that the new one got corrupted. If you look at our laws, you see that we tend to have rules more like in the old testament then in the new one. Most of us totaly deny the teachings of paul. More then half of the books are contributed to him. Him saying the christians are freed from the commadement in galathian is something we totaly reject. Perhaps thats why we rather follow the commadements of noah then christians. Also i personaly like to read the hebrew bible more then the new one. When i try to debate a christian with the condradictions in his bible, i always referr to the old one to show how the new testament can't be fully divine. I'm listening to this clip from the pastor and holding my head in my hands. Because I was taught this verse as a child of eleven or twelve (when I was nine and ten, _Parshas Bereshis_ wasn't long enough to get this far), and I have no idea what he's talking about.
This is why I want to learn Hebrew. Second attempt because I had to stop as work and family needed me more. I had no time. I now have time and learning is so much fun. I've been to multiple different denominations of Christian churches and it is all so off. Can't reason with most of them though.

I've been reading from the JPS English translation of the Tanakh since the 1990s and in recent years have been reading from the WMB translation of the New Testament. A number of times, I have read through the Old and New Testaments in a year. This year, I chose to focus more deeply and decided to understand Isaiah from the jewish perspective. I very quickly learned that I would have to understand more about jewish culture and scholarship before I could even begin to approach jewish commentary. During this quest, I ran across your shows on JBS. I appreciate the effort you have put into both teaching Judaism and understanding christian teachings. I also value the sincerity of your thoughts. Of course you and I have some differences in beliefs and understandings, but I find a great deal of truth in your teaching. I also value your willingness to give the benefit of the doubt to the intended goodness of individual members of today's christian church, even in the light of historical atrocities. Your willingness to make your teaching so readily available to the public has helped me gain an even greater appreciation for g-d's chosen people and, in so doing, an even greater love of g-d.

It is truly amazing how the foundation of Christianity is based on manipulated and fabricated verses. It is even more amazing that they were able to gain momentum, establish themselves and have people following them blindly. This includes me until I started questioning the Christian Bible and Rabbi has helped me tremendously. They have done good work too, no doubt, charities, schools, orphanages everywhere on the planet. But it is amazing how they could reach so many people.

We were always Jewish on my mom’s side but we were not raised in Judaism. Fast forward, in the late 80’s I was an original in the JH and CCCH ministry. It (CC as a whole) was never a good fit for me. I used to lament over how bad I wanted to stop thinking, stop wanting to learn, stop asking questions and I begged G-d to help me just get in line with the narrative. Years later it seemed something just broke me and I had, had enough - enough of what you might wonder? Enough of the discouragement to learn beyond what pastors taught. CC’s model is to base all your learning and trust with faith in their oratory and the doctrine of the church. But, no matter how hard I tried, I could not stop looking for answers. Years of researching, years of painful spiritual moments, coupled with painful acceptance of the truth but yet peace was with me every step of the way, and all this led me back to the faith of family: Judaism. I knew Jack and Lisa personally, and I do think that ‘they think’ they mean well, even though what they offer is a terrible misguiding about Jews and Judaism. Thousands of followers of JH may also think they mean well too BUT, do they or do they not - I do not know for sure. IMO, I think a lot of it’s about the ego. Christianity is largely a religion about “being right” - in other words “I’m right and all of you Jewish people are going to find out at some point you are wrong” Judaism on the other hand says, “go look it up” “ask the questions” “study, learn, havruta” “read it over and over and then read it again” it is an entire lifetime of learning, and none of us has “arrived”, none of us is Moshe (which is a belief with all CCs - “the Moses model”); it is entirely the opposite approach of Judaism. It is massively soaked in the religious experience and not about living daily in faith. The #1 difference is level of reverence for G-d; the two are entirely different. But Baruch HaShem, if it hadn’t been for the CC experience being what it is, I may have never returned to Judaism. Ahh, and so we see yes, that even in this there was good!

As a Christian who believes Jesus is the Messiah, i've come to research Christian-Zionist beliefs and it really puzzles me. Not only was this viewpoint not preached among the first 1,500 yrs of any Church doctrine, but i can't find one passage in the N.T. where Jesus or any of his disciples ever mentioned acquiring land or taking back land. Jesus actually preached AGAINST THIS multiple times to his followers even before he descended to heaven! He said his kingdom was Heavenly and that the Jewish Temple would be destroyed within a generation (which it was in 70AD).
While helping Jews return to the land & supporting the Israeli state re-building a 3rd Temple over the rubble of the Dome of the Rock, Christian-Zionists also believe that over 2/3's of Jews will be slaughtered (after the Church is raptured to heaven) just before Messiah returns to defeat the enemies. So they're literally working & praying for a prophecy (or self fulfilling prophecy) to be fulfilled which includes a second Jewish Holocaust. WHAT???

Well, I've read the Christians' The Holy Bible ("Old" Testament and New together) well over 300 times not including extreme study, and I've read the Quran, and I've researched Buddhism and Hinduism, and I've experienced several several world cultures, and yet, nope, nothing changed. Yes we muslims believe it but we also say it got corrupted over time. By which extend is not said. We also believe that the new one got corrupted. If you look at our laws, you see that we tend to have rules more like in the old testament then in the new one. Most of us totaly deny the teachings of paul. More then half of the books are contributed to him. Him saying the christians are freed from the commadement in galathian is something we totaly reject. Perhaps thats why we rather follow the commadements of noah then christians. Also i personaly like to read the hebrew bible more then the new one. When i try to debate a christian with the condradictions in his bible, i always referr to the old one to show how the new testament can't be fully divine. How comes that you believe the old one is fully true and use their books in your own bible but dont follow it rules. God, who will split the ocean in order to convince when He wishes to convince, has NO PROBLEM making the jewish people believe someone is or isnt their next king, He did so for Saul, David, Solomon, the priests, all to remove any claim of illegitimacy by any jew. This pastor is so wrong in so many ways! He's a disgrace... He's the type of pastor and I use that word loosely, is the reason I stopped going to church.. I was always taught by my parents to respect and honor the Jewish faith and people..
