Lizzie I feel like we've been on this journey together. I've been watching your videos for a few months now because I was looking for Catholic youtubers and your soul is so beautiful and bright. My little sister and I are being baptized tonight and I'm so excited for us all to be Catholic. God Bless! Courtney
I grew up catholic, but when I was going to confess people said I didn't need to say my worst sins. I was so shamed. But now I growing up in the faith, I'm confessing all my mortal sins every week.
I was an atheist before I converted 3 years ago and I wasn't baptized until Easter Vigil so I never had to go to that "first confession" experience like that. I regret that I never got that opportunity because there are a lot of things that I had done before converting that still haunt me. I know that all of my sins that preceded my baptism are forgiven but I think that the Sacrament of Reconciliation doesn't just reconcile us with God, the most important aspect, but it also allows us the opportunity to forgive ourselves. I've only ever confessed face-to-face once and it was qualitatively different from the veiled confessions I've made. I always feel like a massive burden has been lifted after confession. I don't really smile much but I often find myself smiling after Mass and confession.
Samuel Culper I think you can confess those things that haunt you. The saints and progressed people, for instance, confess old sins already confessed in order to reaffirm the vow to not commit them again.
Samuel, the priest is not just the confessor, but the priest is also the spiritual director (free, no cost for any Catholic). So even you just baptize and don't have to confession about those, you still can talk to the priest about those things that still haunting you, as to a spiritual director he will give you guidance. Tell him I know I don't have to confession but I am still haunting with these and I need guidance ...
Thanks for the advice. I think I'm going to talk to one of our priests. I must admit that my parish is lucky to have two excellent priests. I remember while going through RCIA that I would hear people talk about how our parish priest operated the day-to-day goings on of the church and I knew that he was the genuine article and once I understood what that meant there was no going back for me. I hadn't even met him yet at the time.
Samuel Culper I have seven priests at my parish all excellent, strange other parishs also say their priests are excellent, so I guess we Catholics have a lot of excellent priests. Prague
You can do a whole-life-confession. That is something we all should do more than once in a lifetime and it is recommended by priests sometimes and by saints. Read about it and plan on doing one soon.
Saint Therese of Lisieux is my confirmation saint! I was raised Catholic, but I started going to nondenominational churches my junior year of high school about 4 years ago. I’ve been considering going back to the Catholic Church.
Abbey Stevens; A catholic revert.Sometimes God allows us to drift away from the true faith. It's in our nature free will.God wanted you see the other side.Catholics who revert become much stronger in the faith to strengthed our brothers and sisters in Christ.God says; you want to go your own way....go your own way and see what happens.....repent means return.....Return to the Lord. Peter denied Christ 3 times......yet was called the pope head of the bishops to lead the church.
I'm a recent revert to the Church. If you have any questions or would like to talk about your struggle, let me know. Sometimes it helps to just have someone to talk to who's been where you are.
My mother committed suicide when I was 13 back in 2008. I’ll never forget meeting with the priests of our church and planning the funeral and being petrified that they would vilify or condemn her or not even let us have a funeral there for her. They, like your priest understanding your bi-polar, actually broke down the mental illness aspect of what was wrong with my mom, and why she did what she did etc. that man made me feel more “okay” and counseled then any of the mental health professionals I’ve visited in the past decade. I’ll never forget that, and be eternally grateful for them.
David, I would highly recommend that you get Father Chris Alar's book "Understanding Divine Mercy" and watch the videos by him on Divine Mercy....what Jesus said to St. Faustina, a Polish nun in the 1930s. There is a story in the book that is nothing short of stunning about the suicide of a loved one, and something the person who loved the deceased experienced. The church understands that misery usually causes suicide, and Jesus always responds to misery with mercy.
It is so beautiful that you are wearing your RCIA Cross. Tomorrow at this time, you will share in the Real Presence with hundreds of millions of others in that great cloud of witnesses. I have the honor of being with another person who is being confirmed tomorrow evening. We are so honored to be with you and stand with all of you .
Protestants show the plain cross, Catholics proclaim Christ Crucified as St. Paul say's. (1 Cor. 1:23) That is why Catholics wear the Crucifix. As Catholics we are mystically at the foot of the cross, during the Consecration, during the Mass.
Hey I posted on one of Lizzie's videos that the Holy Spirit showed me 'not to worry' about being Catholic because He showed me from John 9 that He wanted me to have mercy and compassion on people...you guys won't believe how that turned out! It refuted sola fide! Here's how: I was watching Jimmy aikin on Catholic answers and he said "The Catholic Church teaches there's nothing we can do to merit our salvation, but that once we are justified our faith works by love as the Apostle Paul said in Galatians." It blew my mind, I understood what God was trying to show me, faith alone salvation isn't biblical but a true saving faith works in love through works of compassion and mercy.....I think I'm on the road to becoming catholic.
I am watching this and just started RCIA two weeks ago. I love Catholicism and am looking forward to receiving the sacraments, but for now I am just so happy and blessed to be able to go to mass several times a week.
Oh Lizzie thank you for sharing your experience with us ❤️ I did my confession this week as well and it is truly the most beautiful experience ever! I was nervous because it’s been years since my last confession but I truly felt like God gave me the courage to confess my sins and I feel like I am truly connected to him now! Anyone who is nervous or embarrassed about confession, it’s normal but don’t let that stop you! God is waiting for you ❤️
notformebeaky it’s about right and wrong. It is what makes us different than animals. It’s about morals. So if you are married, you don’t mind another man sleeping with your wife? Is it wrong to kill somebody or it’s just survival of the fittest? If you saw somebody being robbed and beaten in the street what is the moral thing to do?
I commented it on the live Q&A with That Catholic Couple and I'll say it again - Confession is Divine Therapy! I cried when you talked about Jesus/the priest acting in persona Christi being non-judgmental. It reminded me of when I took that step to deepen my faith after being in a spiritual drought for most of my life. I was making horrible decisions and my guilt continued to dig myself into a deeper hole, where I thought I was never worthy in God's eyes. I certainly judged myself; He did not. But when I confessed honestly with the intention to truly be closer to God, I felt a calmness, and each time I stepped into the confessional, a victory was won. I realized that His grace was always there for me. Like Father Mike Schmitz said in his video about praying in a state of mortal sin, when we ask God to give us another chance, God is also asking us to give Him another chance to love us again. Through Him, I was able to change and deepen my spiritual life and begin to develop a better understanding of my Catholic faith. Whenever I think about change and edification, I am reminded of Saints such as Agustine of Hippo and Ignatius of Loyola who had amazing conversion experiences, and it filled me with such great joy to experience it in my own way through confession. Lizzie, I will be praying for you tonight at the Vigil! All the Saints in heaven shall welcome you to the church! I'm going to be singing the Exsultet in Latin for the first time! St. Cecilia pray for all cantors and singers tomorrow! 🎵🎶🎹🎼🎤 God bless! Christus Resurrexit!
I'm an young italian Catholic, in Italy Catholic church is the principal one and protestants are a replay small part of christians, so being catholic is pretty obvious here, that's why I appreciate your enthusiasm so much! Welcome home, our generation has to be really strong (and opened) and informated about faith: your doing a great job in this. I recommend YouCat to you, it's Catechism for the youth and it's the Catechism of the Catholic Church in a "short" way and it's full of fantastic quotes! Let's live in the Love, never stop searching for the Truth and never stop getting closer. God loves you, the Catholic Church loves you, I love you! Let's abandon ourselves to Love!
Giovanni Cerboni purtroppo molte persone italiane di questa generazione non sono che religiosi che le nostre nonne e i nostri nonni. Molti tra loro non credono nel cattolicesimo. Quella è veramente triste
Congrats! I had to confess 37 years of stuff - i had a looooooong list to go through. I left out of there crying, realizing the shame in so much of what I had done through my life, and the release of it through confession and the forgiveness in the confessional.... it's beautiful. I've done it many times now, and I still cry.... but then I feel great afterwards!! Congrats on tonight - I'll be praying for you!!
I am a cradle Catholic that left for about 20 yrs. When I returned, confession was one thing I did not want to do. But when I did, the priest was so great. He also said something that helps me....not only is Jesus coming thru him to forgive us, he--the priest is kinda forgiving us for human-kind, we rarely get to ask for forgiveness from any/every human we have hurt, so the priest is also human forgiving us. Dunno if it makes sense, but it does to me, and it helps me. I think that helps me feel free, I get to hear the words from Jesus, thru the priest, tell me I am forgiven, and also humankind thru the priest, forgives me. Proud of you, young lady, you are inspiring.
I have always been sad that I was baptized as a baby and didn't get to experience it, but thinking of confession like baptism makes me even more excited for becoming a Catholic!
Lizzie you made me cry!!! WOW!! Your love for Jesus is so beautiful!!!! As I probably said before, Your my favorite RUclipsr because your so honest and open about your personal life and like I can totally relate to your problems. Continue to be strong!!!!!! God bless!!
Your conversion is so powerful and inspirational you should look in to religious life because your witness your joy and theological insite is so deep congratulations on your confirmation im praying for you
I agree, David. She should discern, with confident knowledge that God wants her (and all of us) to be happy and Lizzie will be happiest when she lives the life she is called to live. Maybe that's marriage or maybe holy orders. But I see it, too - she seems to have the courage to discern honestly. As an aside, I believe the reason we have a priest shortage now is because that courage isn't as common as it used to be.
Paul Miller -- we get the priests we pray for. Find a Prayer for Vocations (don't insert your own personal preferences). I like this one, "O God, Who wish all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of Your truth: send, we beg You, laborers into Your harvest, and grant them grace to speak Your word with all boldness; so that Your word may spread and be glorified, and all nations may know You, the only God, and Him Whom You have sent, Jesus Christ Your Son, Our Lord, Who lives and reigns world without end. Amen." And this is from a prayer of St. Faustina: "Lord, give us holy priests; You yourself maintain them in holiness. O Divine and Great High Priest, may the power of Your mercy accompany them everywhere and protect them from the devil's traps and snares which are continually being set for the souls of priests. May the power of Your mercy, O Lord, shatter and bring to naught all that might tarnish the sanctity of priests, for You can do all things."
I personally am so excited for you Liz. I'm from India and i love you and your videos because you are a living example of how to search and find the true church that jesus founded upon his disciples. Will be praying for you today here in delhi your life' journey. Continue to flourish and grow in the love of God.
I’m sobbing with you. I’ve been diagnosed with PTSD and bipolar disorder for many years now. There’s no better prescription than the sacrament of Confession, it’s a renewal of your soul. There is definitely a Divine Presence there and when I receive absolution it makes me want to cry of joy. I, too have difficulty with praying as I’d like to depending on how I’m feeling but the Lord always picks me up...always. You will feel spiritual darkness at times or attack’s because you have truly found your way home. This happened to me a lot during my reversion and still does sometimes. The Lord will never forsake you, He’ll always lead you to the light. God bless you and Mary keep you.
I totally get you. I am a cradle Catholic who stayed away from confession for 20 years. When I said my confession after those long years it was so cathartic and emotional. I always love the way I feel after confession, but I still sometimes avoid going. I guess I have my own issues positive and negative with it. But I still think we need it and it is a blessing for us.
Confession is wonderful, it is such a blessing. I have been a Catholic for 28 years. RCIA in 1990. Now, I go to celebrate Confession about 3 or 4 times a month. That has not always been the case. For the first 26 years of being Catholic, I only celebrated Confession maybe once a year, if I was lucky. Recently I was so happy when I came out of Confession I went and had ice cream. Just to celebrate. But remember, its not about the feelings, sometimes it is dry, so don't just depend on the emotion. As for spiritual attack, it happens, especially when you are doing what God wants.
It sounds very Modernist and selfish, but: as someone who suffered from depression, anxiety, and other psychological issues my whole life, I've found no more effective psychotherapy than the sacraments of Confession and Communion and regular prayer and meditation upon the Rosary.
Doesn't sound selfish to me. Sounds like exactly what God intended. I don't think it's a coincidence mental health issues are on the rise in the West as Catholicism is on the decline.
Learn the Rosary. Ask Our Mother to help you get good at it--she will if you're sincere. If you find it tiring, build up to doing a little more all the time, always praying for help to get better. The Promises of the Rosary are true, and peace of mind is one of the many things it brings. It can also help you--do the Sorrowful Mysteries when you feel sorrowful, and embrace your sorrow--you'll feel better after you're done. Learn the others too. Make them part of you.
May God grant you with many blessings you are such a great inspiration and an extremely great addition to the Catholic church and I am so happy that you found your way home so glad you went to confession and that it means so much to you I will be sure to dedicate a rosary to you and I hope and pray that piece will be upon you always
GOD IS TRUTH Different from the 12 Apostles, a Christian apostle in our times is: a : a PERSON who initiates a great moral reform or who first ADVOCATES an important BELIEF or system b : an ARDENT SUPPORTER: ADHERENT. We also use the term apostolate as a mission to inform or instruct in the faith, sometimes in spite of the consequences. Example: Mother Teresa and Billy Graham were great apostles for Christ, through their actions and through their preaching. We use it in the Catholic Church in the religious sense. Others use for those who carry out an important work in their field. Examples of apostle in a Sentence: 1.- A fervent apostle of universal health care 2.- Dedicated apostles of high technology. Glad to be useful in your understanding.
GOD IS TRUTH In our case, my friend, we don't suffer as much as in your world, with the more than 60,000 different and divided churches and sects. A catholic is subject to the Magisterium of the Church and can not create a different doctrine. Thanks for your comment.
GOD IS TRUTH I just received this video interview that was made to Lizzie where she explains her journey to the Catholic Church and when and where it begun. This is just a way to understand, rather than convince you of our faith. If anything, it will clarify some assumptions that some people make about our beliefs and practices. Take your time and view it. The least you can get is perhaps a little more clarity from our point of view. LINK: ruclips.net/video/2Y1NAl4ZUkQ/видео.html God bless you.
I am so happy for you! I just had a confession a week ago while I was on a spiritual retreat (after not having confessed for 4 years), and I cried when the priest said, "welcome back" because it really felt like coming home. Confession is such a beautiful thing, and I am so thankful that we can experience it. May God bless you always!
This video is so beautiful. Today, you become a catholic. A part of one holy catholic and apostolic church. I’m so happy for you. Welcome to the Catholic Church! 🙏🏻✝️
Very beautiful my love! One thing I do want to point out is that we don’t have to share every deep detail of our sins, because it may cause someone else to sin by putting images in their mind which we will be culpable for. It is true that at the end of all time the whole truth will be revealed to everyone but we must also pray for the grace of prudence to be careful of other’s souls and our own too of course! 💕😊
I did my first confession on Palm Sunday, and I had spent the past month thinking of everything I had done since my baptism. I went in with a typed list. At the end my priest told me, "Now when you leave here, I want you to rip up that list and throw it away. It doesn't matter anymore." It was just so comforting. And hey, we're both officially Catholic!
Querida hermana, Dios te bendiga siempre y bienvenida a casa, que nuestro Señor te preserve de todo mal. Soy mexicana y no puedo escribir en Inglés muy bien, pero estoy en oración por ti.Blessings.
Hi Lizzie, thank you for sharing your 1st confession, while listening to you i had this in my heart jist want to share with you: "Keep going to confession and God will move mightily in your life again, you will be free from this bipolar d/o" i pray for you, i love you. God bless you
I tell people this," You spend thousand's on therapy. If you could have therapy 2.0 on steroids & for free-Wouldn't you go- No better therapy for body & soul..I lv how clean it makes my very soul & body feel & the strength we receive is powerful, the grace we get from the sacraments has no lid, except our own so we need to not see it as an obligation..ITS BEAUTIFUL & I FIND MYSELF BEEN DRAWN CLOSER TO CHRIST AS MY SOUL IS PURIFIED..I SORT OF HAVE A FEELING THAT PURGATORY WILL BE SIMILAR....tnx lizzie
Welcome home, dear sister! You now have a family of over a billion praying with and for you every single day. Peace and joy! Let's aid each other to Heaven, in our own small ways, wherever we are!
Confession makes you feel as though a weight has been taken away.. And you are given reasurance and encouraged to be better for the future! Beautiful..
We at Our Lady of Fatima in London UK were praying for you (we mention your name)and all the people that came to The Catholic Church! May the Almighty Lord bless you sis!
I’m attending mass every week now and think I’m going to become Catholic and I’m so scared for when I confess everything since I was baptised as Church of England as a baby😦 But at the same time this is one of the huge reasons Catholicism drew me in. I think confessing everything before God is profound. Even though Jesus knows all our sins, we need to bring them to the light for the enemy not to keep us down because of them. I didn’t even really have the concept of the enemy until I decided to go to church recently. I knew there were dark thoughts you had to ignore but the fact that it’s literally unholy is so interesting. It’s a relief to know that Jesus can provide so much solace in his light and forgiveness 💜
wow, girl this is beautiful! my bf is going to have his first confession soon, makes me even more excited for mine much later. you had me crying too, i’m super sensitive to people showing emotion & im so happy you were able to feel freedom here.
"Reading the Bible is not a job, reading the Bible is how to hear God talking to you." Thank you, Lizzy - your priest inadvertantly told me what I needed to hear 😂 I haven't been hearing God since January, and it's been a very lonely time spiritually. You said "it is difficult to hold onto God when it feels like God isn't holding onto you", and that took away so much of the guilt I've been feeling through this season. I'm so, so thankful for how much better you are doing and for all the wisdom you've been able to impart to everyone through your channel :)
Awww, Lizzie! I love how you embrace this and also explain it to others. I was having a difficult conversation on Twitter about Confession and this was a perfect way for me to explain the power and beauty of this Sacrament. The conversation was becoming a Catholic bashing one and your honest reflection helped a lot. Thanks!
To all of those that through Conversion have found their way Home to the Catholic Church. I am a cradle Catholic and have never had to face the challenges you have faced in becoming Catholic. I just want you all to know, as Great as our Church was before you, it is even Greater now with all of you within it. I Love those who have converted, you bring such Love, Passion and Faith home to our Church, we get to see our wonderful Church through new eyes and its a blessing to all of us. From the bottom of my heart, Welcome Home and God Bless, you are now part of a Large Family that Loves You. God Bless and Peace in Christ
I love you Lizzie! God is kind to you and please be kind to yourself. I welcome you to the Catholic Church. I got baptized when I was 22, went through a lot of tears to break away from my protestant friends. I cried much and was probably depressed for a while. Then I was received into the true light of true Church. I feel your joy and excitement. I will pray for you, my lovely sister!
Lizzie I am so excited for you! How beautiful it is to be received into the Church on the holiest of all days!! Welcome home Lizzie!! You will be in my prayers tonight!
Lately I watched your videos. I love them to see. You come out opening up your experiences honestly. God has chosen and called you to make him known near and far. Keep strong in the person of Jesus Christ. May God bless you in Christ Jesus.
Congratulations to everyone receiving the Sacrament of baptism or Confirmation today. I wish I could be there to share in all of your amazing moments. May God keep blessing and guiding us all in His light, Amen.
Lizzie! Hi! I'm honestly looking forward to watching your first Easter Vigil experience Video! Hope you're planning to make one. Happy Easter to you! from Sydney, Australia.
Awesome and remarkably courageous account of who you are and how you understood what you went through. I am especially moved by your honesty and your unconditional frankness, two rarer and rarer qualities nowadays. You're a one of a kind person, a uniquely genuine person. You move me very much and I'm looking forward to watch more of your excellent vidros. From an agnostic raised in the Catholic religion and still very much convinced that Jesus' message is essential to all. Thank you, beautiful one. I'm so glad I discovered your channel.
It's different for me because I will be baptized at my confirmation tonight so I won't do confession until I sin after I've been baptized. Love you Lizzie! Your videos always bring me joy. I'm glad confession was a healing experience for you and I hope mine will be healing for me too.
Lizzie, if you ever feel like you’re being spiritually attacked again, pray to the archangel St Michael for protection! He leads the army of God and his first responsibility in existence is to combat satan! He is the champion of Christians and the Church and will help keep you safe. I’m so happy for you and your confession. You even feel so much lighter in your speech and body language. Your emotions for Christ are so inspiring and so motivating for me! Jesus really is present with you. God bless you, and I hope you have a truly blessed Easter!
The sacrament of Confession is such a gift! I went for the first time in six months yesterday and left feeling so light....knowing my sins were forgiven. God bless you Lizzie and welcome home to the True Faith.
I know you have thousands of subscribers but I wanted to drop a note to say. WELCOME HOME! Tonight you join us in the full Truth. You'll be in my prayers tonight and tomorrow during my FAVORITE Church holiday. Easter is all about hope and rebirth. So much love! Congratulations on your Confirmation tonight.
Confession aka Sacrament of Reconciliation changed me, being Catholic has changed me it has been a blessing such a beautiful conversion. (Protestant to Catholic 5 years ago).
Oh, Lizzie, God bless you, sweetheart. I'm so happy for you, and glad you had such a great experience. Confession puts us in a state of grace to be able to receive the Eucharist. I'm so grateful and excited for you to be confirmed tomorrow! Praying for you! 🙏🏻💜 Ora pro nobis 🎚
You are going to amazed at all you will learn on your journey of becoming Catholic!! Keep these videos coming - you are making such an impact!!! Prayers to you Lizzie!
your so amazing!!! i love your courage and strength! christ is really working in you and im so thankful! your willingness to be so open has helped me and i want to go confession now. god bless sis
Your conversion has been beautiful to watch. Confession is amazing. Your priest sounds like he's been such a huge example of Jesus to you -what a blessing! Consider getting to know other priests. In the Church priests often get moved to different parishes after a certain amount of years. There is wisdom in this because people should not become too attached to any one priest. The faith is always in God and his Church. Congratulations on your first confession. :)
Thank you for sharing Lizzie, You filled me with joy as we await the Easter Vigil. I am one of the helpers for our RCIA program and watching your RUclips since the announcement of your conversion has inspired me. So glade you enjoyed your first confession experience, if you thought that was powerful wait until tonight at the Easter Vigil. WOW! God Bless you are in my prayers..
thanks for the sharing, Lizzie! Its wonderful! I went through depression years ago and I was healed through the sacraments of the Church after being a Catholic convert. Spiritual attacks is normal, the enemy doesnt attack the lukewarm souls but the Saints.
@Patrick Nugroho Thank you so much! Confession was intimidating at first but God's mercy is bottomless and Jesus cleansed me of it all, which was amazing! Then the next day, i was confirmed and took the confirmation name of Therese. Holy communion was beyond words, it was so beautiful actually receiving Jesus!
God Bless you Lizzie! Have a great day today! Today, this Easter Vigil is the beginning of your life as a Catholic! Welcome to the faith! I'll be with my Grandma for Easter Vigil tonight. They are saying Mass in honor of my Grandpa who passed last December. My Grandma has played the organ in church and he sang in church with her since the 1950's! God is Love, God Bless!
Thinking of you as Easter Vigil is only 16 hours away! Didn’t know you were in SoCal until one of your recent videos, now I know we’ll be attending Easter vigil at the same time (if I end up making it tonight). God bless you!
Lizzie I am a Catholic Priest, And you hit the nail on the head, The priest is there in confession to help you, not judge you. When you leave the confessional a big load has been lifted from you. Remember Christ said to the 12, What you loose here on earth is also loose in heaven, what you hold here on earth is held in heaven. So forgiveness is an action of Christ through the Priest here on earth. Remember Christ created Sex, and anything Christ creates is good, It was Mankind that perverted it. When we step into sin, we turn our back on Christ, All we have to do is turn back to him and confess our sins, and he is standing there with his hands out stretched ready to forgive us and take us back. May God Bless+ you. Fr. Bob+
I’m so happy that you’ve had such a good experience with your priest! It’s so good to have that, especially when going into the Church. One of the best “Confession pep talks” I ever got is that simply saying name of Jesus out loud is the greatest healer. And the Sacrament of Reconciliation is such an amazing gift! Done rambling, lol, but tonight’s the night! Welcome home! 💙
So.! Wonderful.! I am so happy for you, Lizzie! Your description was so beautiful- when you said that you needed the priest to help you feel forgiven by others & by God. It's beautiful because that's what the Church hopes to give us with this Sacrament! The priest is in persona Christi & lets God act through him, yes, but he also acts as the community around us, because the temporal effects of sin apply to those around us, and when the priest is acting as the community, we also feel forgiven by those around us too! LOVE IT. Praised be Jesus!
I just want to hug you!!! YAY YAY YAAAYYYYY My family is going to go to Easter Vigil I am taking my 19 yr old son(my oldest of 4) who's away from the faith right now... He already was arguing that he wasn't going to go but I am praying he will go even if he's upset perhaps seeing this amazing and beautiful mass (hmm I'm pretty sure he doesn't remember how many readings there will be ha ...) but the whole experience of what will happen I pray perhaps it will touch him. I will say a prayer for you and I am BEYOND so happy WELCOME HOME DARLING!!!!
I am like 4 seconds into the video but I am so so so happy for you and this fills my heart with warmth and love. God bless you and happy solemnity of the Annunciation!!!
Yes! I absolutely know what you mean when you say you felt all the evil leave you! I tell people that after confession, I feel so much stronger in my battle against temptation; I still fall sometimes, as are my human ways, but every time I go back to confession, I feel even more strength! It is so hard to describe because it is just something a person must experience for themselves. I also love the analogy about the rocks! Your video made me tear up too!! The understanding, love & grace he shows through the priest is so overwhelming! Thank you for being so vulnerable & sharing your first confession experience! You are wise beyond your years!
It’s awesome watching your journey! Congratulations on becoming a catholic! You should make a video sharing your experience for your first Holy Week masses/services (like Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, and Good Friday) since there are so many traditions reserved for only those days!
I'm Catholic my whole life, but since I found your videos (since I saw your video why you convert a few weeks ago) I'm learning so much. Thank you so much, I'm including you in my prayers for you to continue bringing people closer to God.
Well done Lizzy, i love your videos. I am a cradle Catholic. I never really attended mass much or confessions. I preferred to criticize religion as man made. By age 53 my life was a mess and i got a sign from Jesus to change. I went to confessions on the spur of the moment one day. It was about 40 years since my last confession. It was tough, I concentrated on my main transgressions. The priest seemed a bit taken aback lol. When i woke up the next morning' it was like the light was turned back on in my life after a near lifetime of darkness. I was feeling a lot lighter and full of joy and hope. I cant imagine life without confessions now. It is one thing i don't miss out on. It kinda keeps me focused on my path and what a great path it is. Thank you Lord!! PS. Visit Medjugorge Lizzie :-)
I am also a former Protestant...became Catholic in 1995...Your journey is not isolated. Thank you for sharing!
Justin Howell one mistake to another, congratulations! 👍
@@nicholasjames5181 huh?
Lizzie I feel like we've been on this journey together. I've been watching your videos for a few months now because I was looking for Catholic youtubers and your soul is so beautiful and bright. My little sister and I are being baptized tonight and I'm so excited for us all to be Catholic.
God Bless!
Courtney
Congratulation!
courtney ryan;
Amazing; thanks for sharing.Godtube strikes again lol.
courtney ryan congratulations
Welcome home. It is the most beautiful thing.
That's so wonderful... so happy for you...
Congratulations on your journey home god bless you
I grew up catholic, but when I was going to confess people said I didn't need to say my worst sins. I was so shamed. But now I growing up in the faith, I'm confessing all my mortal sins every week.
The best confessors are like a comforting doctor; I am glad you have a good priest to hear your confessions.
very important. yes.
Welcome home, dear sister, welcome home forever!
Saint Therese of Lisieux is my confirmation saint! I was raised Catholic, but I started going to nondenominational churches my junior year of high school about 4 years ago. I’ve been considering going back to the Catholic Church.
Abbey Stevens come back him
There's no place like home
Abbey Stevens;
A catholic revert.Sometimes God allows us to drift away from the true faith.
St. Therese is my confirmation saint also. I was confirmed as an adult after my reversion! It was one of the greatest days of my life!
Congratulations on your confirmation!
Hopefully now that you are Catholic you will go and get yourself a Catholic Crucifix to wear.
Protestants show the plain cross, Catholics proclaim Christ Crucified as St. Paul say's. (1 Cor. 1:23)
That is why Catholics wear the Crucifix.
Waylon Roberts go for it, it's so worth it
welcome home in advance? :D we'd be happy to have you!
God bless , may he guide you in Spirit and truth. Happy Easter
WOW. God bless you. That's so amazing! I hope you'll sign up for RCIA this fall!
Jesus is waiting for you in the Eucharist.
God is waiting for you ❤️
I went to confession an hour ago. It is so liberating and it will make you feel free.
True!
notformebeaky i’m not american
notformebeaky do you believe that you are not a sinner?
notformebeaky it’s about right and wrong. It is what makes us different than animals. It’s about morals. So if you are married, you don’t mind another man sleeping with your wife? Is it wrong to kill somebody or it’s just survival of the fittest? If you saw somebody being robbed and beaten in the street what is the moral thing to do?
notformebeaky because bad things aren't not bad, they are bad, sin is another word for bad things, we all do bad things so we are sinners. Simple.
I'm so happy for you! I went to confession yesterday and seeing videos like this inspires me to do better.
So beautiful how you shared your first confession with everyone. thank you
I'm an young italian Catholic, in Italy Catholic church is the principal one and protestants are a replay small part of christians, so being catholic is pretty obvious here, that's why I appreciate your enthusiasm so much!
Finding you on YT is my blessing and helps me appreciate my Catholicism. Thank you Angel. Stay strong.
I have always been sad that I was baptized as a baby and didn't get to experience it, but thinking of confession like baptism makes me even more excited for becoming a Catholic!
I received all my sacraments the same day, and it was a blessing!
Alexa Boxler That sounds beautiful :-)
I like this one, "O God, Who wish all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of Your truth:
send, we beg You, laborers into Your harvest,
and grant them grace to speak Your word with all boldness;
so that Your word may spread and be glorified,
and all nations may know You, the only God,
and Him Whom You have sent,
Jesus Christ Your Son, Our Lord,
Who lives and reigns world without end. Amen."
And this is from a prayer of St.
Happy Easter and welcome to the Catholic family!!!!!
I personally am so excited for you Liz. I'm from India and i love you and your videos because you are a living example of how to search and find the true church that jesus founded upon his disciples. Will be praying for you today here in delhi your life' journey. Continue to flourish and grow in the love of God.
Saludos desde México!
This is one of the best videos I've ever seen on confession. God bless you, Lizzie! Welcome Home!
I've heard of people who go almost every week!
Mother Angelica said you should get ice cream after confession!
Confession is truly a holy and spiritual experience that is a gift from God!
May God grant you with many blessings you are such a great inspiration and an extremely great addition to the Catholic church and I am so happy that you found your way home so glad you went to confession and that it means so much to you I will be sure to dedicate a rosary to you and I hope and pray that piece will be upon you always
Well said Lizzie. You're a great apostle for our times.
May you be constantly blessed in this mission in your life.
GOD IS TRUTH
Different from the 12 Apostles, a Christian apostle in our times is:
a : a PERSON who initiates a great moral reform or who first ADVOCATES an important BELIEF or system
b : an ARDENT SUPPORTER: ADHERENT.
We also use the term apostolate as a mission to inform or instruct in the faith, sometimes in spite of the consequences.
Example:
Mother Teresa and Billy Graham were great apostles for Christ, through their actions and through their preaching.
We use it in the Catholic Church in the religious sense. Others use for those who carry out an important work in their field.
Examples of apostle in a Sentence:
1.- A fervent apostle of universal health care
2.- Dedicated apostles of high technology.
Glad to be useful in your understanding.
GOD IS TRUTH
In our case, my friend, we don't suffer as much as in your world, with the more than 60,000 different and divided churches and sects.
A catholic is subject to the Magisterium of the Church and can not create a different doctrine.
Thanks for your comment.
GOD IS TRUTH
I just received this video interview that was made to Lizzie where she explains her journey to the Catholic Church and when and where it begun. This is just a way to understand, rather than convince you of our faith. If anything, it will clarify some assumptions that some people make about our beliefs and practices.
Take your time and view it. The least you can get is perhaps a little more clarity from our point of view.

God bless you.
Another great video today! Speaking of today, happy Confirmation day!!!
Beautiful..
Literally too. I physically feel something being lifted off of me after every confession.
"God knows your sins but calls you by your name. The devil knows your name but calls you by your sins." God bless you in your journey!
Thank you for this! Today is my first confession
Dardenalms good luck and God Bless
Find a good confessor, ask around " do you know what priest is a good confessor", and be blessed
We at Our Lady of Fatima in London UK were praying for you (we mention your name)and all the people that came to The Catholic Church! May the Almighty Lord bless you sis!
I’m attending mass every week now and think I’m going to become Catholic and I’m so scared for when I confess everything since I was baptised as Church of England as a baby😦
But at the same time this is one of the huge reasons Catholicism drew me in.
"Reading the Bible is not a job, reading the Bible is how to hear God talking to you."
Thank you, Lizzy - your priest inadvertantly told me what I needed to hear 😂 I haven't been hearing God since January, and it's been a very lonely time spiritually.
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing Lizzie. You made confession sounds more beautiful , inspiring and not scary. Godbless!
Congratulations Lizzie! Welcome home sister! Keep up the good fight!
"awed at the Miracle of Real Presence"
Please have someone record your initiation into the Church, it be awesome to see for those of us who have followed your journey :)
You have a beautiful heart, and I'm so glad you found a place where you feel like you truly belong. God bless 💖
Wow! Another memorable video by Lizzie. I am really glad that she is so happy today. You are an amazing woman, Lizzie. God bless you!.. Happy Easter!
Thank you for sharing this. I feel that sometimes we catholics don't realize that confession is such a blessing. Praise God!
There is still many things waiting you lizz. God bless you
The sacrament of Confession is such a gift!
Praying for you Lizzie!! Thank you for being open about the spiritual attacks. It helps us all to stay aware that this can happen.
Oh, Lizzie, God bless you, sweetheart. I'm so happy for you, and glad you had such a great experience. Confession puts us in a state of grace to be able to receive the Eucharist. I'm so grateful and excited for you to be confirmed tomorrow! Praying for you! 🙏🏻💜
Ora pro nobis 🎚
You are going to amazed at all you will learn on your journey of becoming Catholic!! Keep these videos coming - you are making such an impact!!! Prayers to you Lizzie!
your so amazing!!! i love your courage and strength! christ is really working in you and im so thankful! your willingness to be so open has helped me and i want to go confession now. god bless sis
Beautifully said , Lizzie ! Thanks for sharing you are an awesome girl that God loves so much !
Girl!! Your RUclips Channel truly is a ministry!
You are blessed to have a good priest. Thank you for sharing!
You're perfect just the way you are. God Bless You Lizzie. Your story is so precious.
thanks for the sharing, Lizzie! Its wonderful! I went through depression years ago and I was healed through the sacraments of the Church after being a Catholic convert. Spiritual attacks is normal, the enemy doesnt attack the lukewarm souls but the Saints.
I'm doing my first confession today! Tomorrow, I'm getting confirmed!
Lizzie, congratulations, you get the prize for most genuine experience of Confession I have ever heard.
what is your job ?
So.!
Thank you for a heartfelt and wonderful witness to God's grace through the Sacraments!
Welcome home Sister!
God is Risen! All glory to God! Allelujah!
Lizzie you are amazing! You are inspiring so many souls, including mine. Thank you so much. God bless you always!
Truly happy for you! May God bless you abundantly everyday! You are such a great inspiration, thank you for sharing!
I'm Catholic my whole life, but since I found your videos (since I saw your video why you convert a few weeks ago) I'm learning so much. Thank you so much, I'm including you in my prayers for you to continue bringing people closer to God.
Thank you for speaking from your heart. You have a beautiful soul.
God bless you Lizzie. The father's mercy and love is abundant, no matter what happens.
I forgot to tell you, I have added you to my prayer list, you are in my intercession. My God bless and keep you, in Jesus Holy Name.
God bless you! I'm so glad you have come experience the joy of the sacrements! Happy Easter!
