At first I hated this version, but after listening all the way through I decided I really enjoy this version. I have listened to this several times now. Her voice is beautiful, I wish she sang more songs!
Traditional songs are not static, but reinterpreted by each generation. I thought this was a fun version. May this song last another thousand years. :)
The first half dozen times I watched this vid, I didn't even notice the music for those eyes. My word! Those green eyes. Ahhhh. ... oh, the song is grand, too. This beautiful young lady has a lilting voice ... if you can get past those lovely green eyes. Oh. My.
I have so many memories of Ireland and Dublin ... and this song is one of them: every day in the shop "Carrol's" to buy souvenirs for our friends. it was a wonderful experience that I would repeat because ireland is so magical. IRELAND, I LOVE YOU..FROM ITALY
The rendition is a bit different, but does not change the quality of the song. How could 400 people not like this song or the artists? Well, more like it than don't. Thanks for the opportunity to hear you. Great job.
First time I heard the song was in Cohb, Ireland. A lovely young lady was singing it on the tour bus similar to fiffenmarkets version here. I loved the song and its been stuck in my head for months. When I heard "traditional" version, I thought it was too slow. All a matter of perspective. Good job FM! Makes me long to return to Ireland again.
This may be completely different from the traditional version, but it is a great way to show the new generation a classic song through their musical taste. Great job guys. Definitely a purchase of mine on iTunes.
What a great version of a song I've only heard and sung in its original tune. Beautifully engineered sound and vision and Wow! to the lady! ***** from Geoff Thanks for sharing Ubbo (MyMcMurphy)
I like it! Can't get it out of my head. Nice to keep songs alive for each generation...as long as everyone is also aware of the original. Nicely done presentation, too. Slainte.
Well I stumbled over this version of this classic song two days ago. First I didn't like it too much because of it's very different rhythm to other versions, but today, after listening an estimated 50 times to it, I honestly can say that I like this version very much! Despite the oppinion of some people, who say that the singer does not feel what she's singing, I say she does very well! I think they've done a good job whith their intention to take out the sadness of this song :).
This is one of my favorite songs of all time. I listen to it enough that my daughter sings it just walking around, we are still trying to get her to sing the words correctly, she sings “Cockles and Mukels Alive Alive O”. This is her favorite version. When we sing it together I sing the traditional version and she sings this one.
Awesome version, these songs can be sung however you like. That is the beauty . Obviously I like the traditional version, but you can hear that anywhere.
Love it or hate it, you gotta give credit for creativity. I love it! This version really got me interested in this song. I do a traditional rendition and then go into a "Fiffin" rockin' version, then slow down and end with a traditional chorus. It's a hoot!
Why do so many people refer to the 'Dubliners' original? Molly Malone has been sung in Ireland since at least 1883 and possibly much earlier, maybe even the late 17th century. Is there anyone alive today who can claim to have heard the original? This is a beautiful variation on a traditional and much loved song and no doubt one of many versions over the many years that have past since it was first written.
The song version, the musicality, the garjus video (THOSE EYES!) are all nearly perfect. Anyone who disagrees is daft. Period. Wander off and listen to any old crap you like - this is brilliant stuff. bite me.
I'm from belgium. I find this cover fantastic. Wonderful voice, and pretty rythm. Legendary songs are also made to be revisited. Thx, please send me the tabs, i would song it with my group.
I think they're good musicians (and the lead is very cute!) but I agree with the other commenters in that I prefer the older version - I think for me the song works better with a more mournful tone and slower beat. I did enjoy this video though, thank-you for posting it!
hmmm maybe i was being a bith harsh its starting to grow on me infact i like it lol its just a shock to hear it as al my life life heard it by the dubliners,.. thanks for keeping ireland alive ;)xX
i am form austria und love your music and especially this song!! i bouht your cd some time ago and love it!!!!! greeting from austria (some years ago i was in ireland and loved it too!!!)
hey, i think molly malone would have liked to have an upbeat song to remeber her by, not a dirge or funeral march. i would have. the greatest reward to her hard work should be to make people happy with this wonderful song. i think she is smiling when ever she hears her song, for she lives on through song. that is my veiw on this subject.
I am from Holland, and I learned this song at my school and knew it´s a tradtional Irish song and it´s a shame that I hear a Irish person herself ruin a Traditional Irish song! And you Irish men I love the people there and agree with most Irish people that England is a fucked up country. Be proud to be Irish! Greetings from the Netherlands
Booiiinnggg ;-) I just love it ;-) I´m a big fan of Irish musik, and when I heard this after a copple of Irish coffee ;-) I was sold... It went straight in to my heart. Thaaank you... Normally I like the originals, but this is amazing ;-)
Here, here! I love both original version and this version of the song.
At first I hated this version, but after listening all the way through I decided I really enjoy this version. I have listened to this several times now. Her voice is beautiful, I wish she sang more songs!
One of the best performances of this song I have found on RUclips. And I have collected 51 versions! Thank you for sharing this with us.

Crisp and clean happy voice. at least one can understand all the lyrics. the beat is cheerful and uplifting. great job!
Not many people can take an old song and put a new spin on it and it be good but She did it and did it well! 5/5!
Sorrowful song turned into a party song.very nice I love it
come on now people. i love the original song, but as far as new version of old classics go this was really well done.
A genius version of the song! Very well done folks!
Sweet voice! Like things dreams are made of... would love to hear her sing it traditionally. :)
A beautiful contemporaty rendition of a traditional classic.

Some fantastic songs such as Molly Malone, this is one of those times when some one screws with a traditonal song that doesn't need to be changed.

Very good version,.great voice and a cute girl;)
I'm sure a lot of full-blooded Irish might not like this. However, since I am only half Irish, I think it's a nice variation on a traditional song.
hey, i think molly malone would have liked to have an upbeat song to remeber her by, not a dirge or funeral march. i would have. the greatest reward to her hard work should be to make people happy with this wonderful song. i think she is smiling when ever she hears her song, for she lives on through song. that is my veiw on this subject.

Well, Molly probably didn't want to be dead and mourned for all time, so she might have liked this version.

Realmente es una muy buena adaptación del clásico de Molly Malone. Bonita voz la de la cantante. Cuanto más la oyes más te gusta.
