I do the homework immediately after the class when the information still fresh in my head + also I go to my classes early to review and refresh the last lecture in the library before the class. It works for me.
My tip is before you start going through your study material, try watching a couples video’s about it. It helps alot because when you study then you already kind of understand it and its so much easier to just get it right.
I tried this tip for a week and actually worked. It’s fun how it will warm up your brain with the information prior actually studying the topic so thank you for sharing it!
Fun fact, studying terms and the definitions associated with them and then recording yourself stating them alone and listening to it with headphones using only memory strength to bring back the definitions really helps build your vocabulary
As a college Prof., these are some really great tips for students! I was looking for a video to share with a group of students in the Police Academy program and this is a great one!
1. Focus in class, do ur work. Do not postpone. Flip through the pages right after class. 2. Read out the terms and record it on ur phone. And then repeatedly listen to it. 3. Plan the day. 4. Flash cards help. 5. Make habits. Make a routine. 6. Take care of yourself. Sleepp. 7. Know and figure out which setting works out for you. 8. Active reading- write notes and go back to them. Dont just read. 9. Create an outline of what you need to learn. Go back when you need to learn

Hello. Lately I've noticed that I can't study. So, I have decided, starting today, May 20, 2021, that I will apply the advice of these students, to improve my methods, skills and consistency. I challenge myself from now, for a year. See you in a year. ‼️‼️ UPDATE : It didn’t go well. Not because the advice were bad but because I was always telling myself that I got time to get started. So I procrastinated, over and over again. Here I am, one year later, still getting (quite)good grades but also still doesn’t take school seriously. Still can’t study and my attention span has gotten worse since I developed (or discovered that I had) a social media addiction. I spend my after school time on TikTok until 8pm then I hate myself for doing it. Then I don’t go to bed until late, because 5 more minutes “aren’t gonna kill me”. Then I tell myself that I won’t do that the next day, but the cycle repeats itself. I truly hated myself. I feel like I wasted one year. To be honest, I’m sick and tired of living that way. You probably don’t care but I will, this time, put my whole energy into becoming a new person. See you in another one year. Maybe.

These top schools should pay you already. I agree with what the students said :) Quality content, quality study tips. Thank you for the amazing video, bro!
So straight forward and yet so helpful! Honestly one of the best videos I’ve seen that has actual good study tips for uni! Great content, thanks for makin this!
Can't thank you enough for this. I'm just starting my second semester and made a bit of a mess of the first year. Towards the end of the year I started looking for strategies for better study as I suddenly realized I had pretty poor study habits. some of this has confirmed what I suspected; hoping to have a much better year this time around.
Honestly here is my advice: Paying attention in class: Always listen to the teacher and make sure to take notes. Don’t write the notes how the teacher says it rather you should write them down in a way that you would informally/casually speak. Do homework after class immediately: if you do this trick you will be able to memorise stuff better and do your homework much quicker. I really like this trick because then you don’t have to do your homework at home. Take Online lessons: honestly online lessons are one of the best things on the internet. You can take them and just practice for 5 minutes a day and it will already improve whatever you are trying to achieve. Focus on the important lessons: if you want to become a therapist then biology, physiology and chemistry are a must learn. You have to focus on the stuff that you have to be good in to get the required job but at the same time you have to focus on the main lessons like Math, English/your own language and the extra language class you’re taking. These are the most IMPORTANT ones. If you can’t do Math or anything similar to the main lessons then you will have to work on your studies. Knowing your study technique: if you don’t have a study technique then you have to work that brain and get one. Study techniques can go from simple and basic research to planning out how you’re gonna understand the teacher and take the notes. This one is VERY important because if you don’t know what you’re writing down and hearing then you are on a 50% of failing. I hope this helps or helped out!! +-----------------+ Love you all
Hafu I just wanna say...I really appreciate you taking your time and money to travel to all these top schools just so we can learn from these students. I fall more in love with your videos with every new upload. ❤️❤️
Usually after school I finish my hw and u should NEVER EVER procrastinate on hw or projects or studying. Like I split up my hw in days so I don’t get stressed and usually I study some while after school to review so I can have a strong outlook on what we learned that day. It isn’t stressful at all if u have a healthy schedule like that. And for high school is that to never wait last min to study for SAT u should join sat prep courses in the beginning year of high school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm upset that I didn't discover your channel sooner! I will be entering as a freshman in the fall of 2020! Will be actively taking notes on your content. Thank you so much for your help to me and future college students!
My school will begin tomorrow so I'm gonna study hard this year to have all the subjects A or B, 90% out of 100% of the whole year, prey for me guys ❤️
Omg im so glad that i found this videos while Im really needed some study tips that really works since i have a limited time like just 19 days left for my college test. Thankyou so much hafu! This videos is super helful and you're such as an inspirational man, bro!!
One that I do is talk to the professors before classes start. Introduce yourself and tell them you are interested in the class as well as how to prepare for the class. I do this and I usually get a copy of the syllabus before classes even start and can study the chapter and sections of the book or textbook.
Going to bed early, is also a good trick, cause the (stress) hormone cortilso in the body has a circardian rythm that starts to get higher at about 2 in the morning and then has a peak at about 8:30 in the morning, making you more awake and able to focs.
While watching the study tips of students attending prestigious universities, I had the chance to reconsider my own study methods. Thank you for sharing amazing video. I am particularly interested in recording myself explaining the study material in my own language and listening to it anywhere. I will definitely give it a try😁!!
It's simple to raise your grades drastically. Take the textbook and read it outloud to yourself. You get the information three ways. See, hear and speak. The recall for the material will be much better.
0. make outline before starting reading any course 1. put attention right in class. don't delay. do revise immediately that day after returning home. 2. record the class. 3. talk to profs during office hours. 4. plan the day.(mandatory) 5. flashCARD + spaced repitition system 6. make habits. 7. self care 8. know thyself 9. active reading instead of just cramming 10. repeat maths atleast 3times 11. reach out. don't shy just for the sake of being an introvert. There should be no excuse for not getting good result.
Thank you Hafu! The way you did this is as helpful as the tips you've obtained and shared! ALL were very good tips, presented very well. Good students motivate and make good teachers...AND.....good teachers motivate and make good students! It's a never ending upward spiral of continuous improvement!! Thank you.
Hey you know what , what I think is every subject needs a different approach for studying not for everyone the same methods doesn't works, every subject needs different approach and students have their own style of studying
im watching this in 2021 and i rly cant follow some of these methods such as meeting teachers and working w them bc of the pandemic but I've made my study routine a hobby so I can pass my Cambridge o levels with good grades. life's hard sometimes but you'll be amazed when you succeed. ur doing great just dont give up
I'm a Professor. During the pandemic and now, I have office hours via zoom. 15 minute appointment slots! The students who visit do MUCH better than those who do not! They are more comfortable with me....and I with them. TURN ON your camera during online classes.....NON-VERBAL communication is important!
@@sfeigenb5731 yess i attend my classes regularly and I've clearly seen improvements. I've started meeting them online to discuss about my weaknesses and other things i should do to improve myself.......My grades improved a lot and now I'm a topper.
Can you make a video about low cost University's in Canada and also their ranking in Canada like... Dominican University, Brandon University Memorial University etc. Specially for International undergraduate students
You should make more videos on schools that are under 20% selectivity such as Caltech, uchicago, Rice, duke, brown, Cornell, etc. they are also destinations to many seniors besides the very top schools.
We’re talking about also mental health. And mines is honestly very low. I just wana prove to myself that I’m enough and that I can do better even if nobody says I can. This is enough motivation for me. I’m in 8th grade and have good grades. But high school I’m gonna need to be absolutely A game because I plan on being a med student.

Ok, these are some actual good tips I need to get some good grades because I got a C in my first Quiz so I need to study more
Damn bro!! That sucks. You better study harder
Hudson, you say you're the biggest procrastinator in the world, but have you ever procrastinated studying till AFTER the exam? Bet ya didnt huh 😎
But what’s most important is the discipline and ambition needed to do the hard work. There’s no magic trick.
I study 10 hours everyday that's why I pass all my exams As in my campus.
Please make more videos on the "how" of studying. RUclips lacks content which is genuinely helpful like yours. Please 🥺🙇♂️
I'm definitely gonna implement these study practices, especially the one of recording myself.
This was sooo good. I love hearing the experience and wisdom of diff students. This vid should have minimum 1 million views. Thank you for this 🎉✨
Lots of amazing suggestions! Structure is definitely key, and progress tracking helps too. I’m trying that with my freshmen. Hopefully it helps haha
