    One of the longer but prettier scenery days. You two have a great positive vibe and are great hosts to the videos. I would never have enough vaca time to take 5 weeks off but it sure is an inviting thought. I subbed. can't wait to see your other adventures.

    Glad to see your enjoying the last 100K so much, it looks beautiful. I’m doing (just) the last 100K this May. I taught it might be a bit of a cheat and not be as nice as other sections, but your last few Films have changed my mind. Thanks for that, I’m really looking forward to it now 😊.

      I was being sarcastic in that moment, but that was also a fear of ours. We didn't run into any loose scary dogs on the Frances. The Norte and Primitivo routes had a few more, but we never got bitten or even close to bitten. We did turn around a couple of times and find a different way to get by areas with loose scary dogs. On this route, we never even considered doing that. Buen Camino!

    5:55 It so happens, this was a day I made same kilometers as you - 25 km.
    That's about twice the medium stretch per day starting from the day I rested on O Cebreiro.

      The footing on this day was really good, and that was a big factor that allowed us to walk a long way. It was usually my feet that started hurting before anything else.

      Thanks for the kind words. I'm not sure of the name of the place. I've looked at our stamps, and I can't tell that we got a special one there. I think it just says Palas de Rey, but doesn't say the name of the place. It was right on the Camino. It is a two-story place with the nicer part in the basement. That is where we ate. Nice atmosphere and great food. Sorry I'm not more help on that one. Buen Camino!

    Seemed like a gloriously leisurely day girls despite the km's. I can almost feel your heavy heart knowing you ate drawing closer to Santiago!! Tell me, did you ever experience feet issues ... blisters????

    • @staceyandmollypilgrims
      @staceyandmollypilgrims  Год назад

      I did get a few blisters the first week, but nothing too bad. On our previous Camino (starting in Santillana del Mar on the Norte), I got really bad blisters and lost a toenail. I learned a few things, so I did somewhat better this time. I'm still trying to refine that process because blisters hurt. I listen to all suggestions. Buen Camino!

    Was there any point where you got lost because the Camino sign was not clear/available? I imagine I might have to get a data plan to ensure I can use Google Maps when I am there, or at least load up in town before I start to walk.

    • @staceyandmollypilgrims
      @staceyandmollypilgrims  8 месяцев назад +1

      There were a few places - mostly in cities. I recommend using an app (Buen Camino is free) and downloading it the night before each stage. In general, locals will tell you if you get off track in rural areas, but they don’t pay much attention in larger towns.
