Tesla could specialise into a niche in a bigger market or use robotic factories to mass produce reliable vehicles. Ford model T production line ran for 20 years. It will take 20 years to replace all ICE vehicles. I heard it was the spare parts department that made the money, and the vehicles were the loss leaders. Reliable EV is a different matter. If selfplug-in V2G EVs 100kWh battery is the basis of the new energy industry and the FSD computer and Starlink, the new basis of communication and computing, then the old ways of thinking are gone. Horse meat was cheap when the Ford model T production line started. 👌 Making EV factories too big would mean having massive overproduction capacity when EVs are universal. ICE vehicles will still be on the road for a long time. Just my thoughts. 😊
Man i came to a similar conclusion myself regarding the Japanese car invasion in the late 70s and how it rocked American auto makers. I also think V2G capacities will greatly increase EV adoption.
