Contemporary is the title track from the decidedly unpredictable new album from beloved, award-winning Bay Area blues masters Rick Estrin & The Nightcats. The video is a hilarious and mind-blowing Zappa-esque mashup of Chicago blues, uptown funk, balls-out rocking and tongue-in-cheek rapping. The full album is packed with originals that combine memorable, savvy songwriting and world-class musicianship, creating a potent and powerful modern blues sound. DownBeat says, "Rick Estrin sings and writes songs like the brightest wiseguy in all of bluesland and blows harmonica as if he learned at the knee of Little Walter."
