I just added this to my Favorites. It is one of the very best versions of Angeline the Baker I've ever heard. It might be fun to try and find some lyrics and sing it sometime.
Nice OT swing about it! I agree that the setting does have an influence but it's still nice simple, straight forward stringband music. Thanks for posting.
Nice played! We do it in our weekly Stockholm Happy Wednesday Jam too. Rachel Eddy leads and teaches us millions of tunes. Keep on! Have a nice week-end!
I just happen to come across your group and .... wow!.... what a nice surprise! Great music, excellent talent and so much fun to watch you play. Thank you so very much for posting on RUclips.
notice the tempo!! fiddle tunes can be played too fast or too slow , these guys and gals have got it exactly right,l've listened to all the tunes posted, and l hear good timing on every tune Marion Johnson
Exactly. Most fiddle tunes are played too fast, imho. Bill Monroe played some things really fast, but I remember hearing him say of most songs that you should be able to "dainse to it."
SO SMART YOU ARE! I MUST BE SHUT UP! WHY! I SAID WHAT I MEAN, AND WHATS THE PROBLEM? I LOVE COUNTRY, BUT NOT SO INSTRUMENTAL, I LIKE VOICES!!! WHO ASK YOU WHATEVER!
Just had this group put up on my u tube, don't know why. Wish it had been years ago. Fantastic music and a great looking group.
Great tune, good band, and nice venue.
A beautiful job on this classic old fiddle tune, one of Ramona Jones' favourites !!!

To the two people who gave this a thumbs down, I feel sorry for you!
buz butler and there's one other thumbs down since you posted this. You're right. They don't know good music. Sad, but there are people like that.
+Guy Sharwood They were prolly jamming too hard and missed the like without noticing.
buz butler some people seem to lack ears.
Roy Daintith They got ears...just no soul
Hmmm...2 dislikes, guess they don't know Angeline, they have my pity. Very, very well done y'all.
another great performance!
Wow! amazing!
Love it!
this is awesome! My fiddle club at school is learning this. We even incorporated chops but it's no where near this good
Amazing group! Very inpiring. I love how you use such expression when you play. When was this song written?
Its got an Irish feel to the tune
Sorry, are they still going. I hope so

@gallagherguitar That's probably Angeline the Baker
Angeline " sounds good with didgeridoo (d) on the bottom ...then it's Angeline the Australian baker..
This is good too.

Interesting how they largely all eschew the chin rest.
play this as historical event around some trees. . not on a patio. . nice music, wrong setting. .
Teepee Tommy , play it anywhere you like folks! Long as you play .
