This is why Peroxide is the better game. It’s more difficult with a more sophisticated combat system, it actually tells you how to play and if you use a shred of critical thinking you can figure out where to go. The only bad thing about Peroxide besides the fact that RNG can help you a decent bit is that after you get your first mode you pretty much have to guess what to do to get your second mode. And that’s bad game design. But everything else is way better.

nah we all had to watch deepwoken starter guides to work out how to go from power 1 to power 2, it wasnt clear at all. i remember on release nobody understood how to power up at all. ive got no clue about now tho, maybe they changed it to tell u
@@mool487 there was a help option in the top left on release (the question mark) so within the first 5 minutes you could learn how to level and you could learn where erisia was from npcs and if not could go out to sea and explore and find something. Still hard if you didn't read dialogue and had no guide, but it was definitely better than most of the "hardcore" or "roguelike" games out now.

But reading dialogue in the game and finding new npcs to talk to can give you hints on where to go next, just like that one npc at etris that sits next to the tree. eclipse I BEG OF YOU PLAY BLOCKTALES DEMO 1 ITS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME, its a turn based game with the theme of old roblox and its pretty fun actually. sadly its not that long, you can complete in like 3 hours on a super casual run. it took me like an hour to get to the last part so i dunno. but its so fucking good you should check it out, it may not be your type but holy shit is it a well made game. you do not need a trello, the game explains itself to you via cutscenes and sometimes tips in battles and its overall the most fun i've had in a while on roblox. and its just the 1st demo, cant wait for the finished game and maybe a video about it. A good example of games not giving direction is when I played a bizarre day when I was newer to roblox. When I joined the game I had zero idea what was going on and thought the game was broken or a testing place. Later on I played yba (which tells you what to do) and figured out that arrows give you abilities. It literally took me playing another game and applying its logic to abd to figure out how to play. Also during my initial playthrough of abd, I did find an arrow and got a stand, but I didn't know what it was or how to use it because there was no control guide lol.

hey eclipse, you should consider trying "Dissension In Uroze" its a short Player vs Enemy type game, it reminded me of HOURS but on steroids the enemies in this game can parry and they're extremely good at it too

I played the game and actually tried looking up the trello, it was VERY outdated and most of the information there was incorrect. I kept playing for about 5 minutes until I decided to quit and never return.
i was there for type soul public release and deepwoken public release and for type soul i just watched yt tutorials and got bored but in deepwoken i explored the entire map and couldn't get off the game but i was lost on how to get the blindseer oath and had to look that up but even without deepwoken tutorial i had an amazing time and kind of knew what to do

I played Type Soul for 20 hours, Getting to elite rank. (which i had to use the trello) Type Soul might be the shittiest, buggiest, game ive ever played. Buggiest because half the time the ui does not work properly. Killing the same 3 hollows the whole time just to rank up isnt fun.

Ok so, I play type soul, love it, play it everyday and all that. You are completely right about the game design being really bad early on in the game, and how you have to look it up on how to actually progress. However, majority of type soul players have seen the anime Bleach, so when they play the game, they have a general idea on what to do and how to progress their race in the game. I believe that type souls "hook" to get people to actually want to look up stuff and all that is the anime itself. Since deepwoken is completely original, they have to do it their own way while type soul gets carried by the anime. But besides having to look stuff up and the progression being confusing, the game itself isn't bad in my opinion. The PVP is just like deepwoken as many know but its completely centered around bleach which is probably why it has so many players. I'm assuming this because I play the game due to it being about Bleach, just like how I played YBA because it was about JOJO and so on. This could also explain on why games like sakuara stand (being as bad as it is) having so many players due to the amount of animes it has in it.

eclipse I BEG OF YOU PLAY BLOCKTALES DEMO 1 ITS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME, its a turn based game with the theme of old roblox and its pretty fun actually. sadly its not that long, you can complete in like 3 hours on a super casual run. it took me like an hour to get to the last part so i dunno. but its so fucking good you should check it out, it may not be your type but holy shit is it a well made game. you do not need a trello, the game explains itself to you via cutscenes and sometimes tips in battles and its overall the most fun i've had in a while on roblox. and its just the 1st demo, cant wait for the finished game and maybe a video about it. PLEASE.

A good example of games not giving direction is when I played a bizarre day when I was newer to roblox. When I joined the game I had zero idea what was going on and thought the game was broken or a testing place. Later on I played yba (which tells you what to do) and figured out that arrows give you abilities. It literally took me playing another game and applying its logic to abd to figure out how to play. Also during my initial playthrough of abd, I did find an arrow and got a stand, but I didn't know what it was or how to use it because there was no control guide lol.

Ok so, I play type soul, love it, play it everyday and all that. You are completely right about the game design being really bad early on in the game, and how you have to look it up on how to actually progress. However, majority of type soul players have seen the anime Bleach, so when they play the game, they have a general idea on what to do and how to progress their race in the game. I believe that type souls "hook" to get people to actually want to look up stuff and all that is the anime itself. Since deepwoken is completely original, they have to do it their own way while type soul gets carried by the anime. But besides having to look stuff up and the progression being confusing, the game itself isn't bad in my opinion. The PVP is just like deepwoken as many know but its completely centered around bleach which is probably why it has so many players. I'm assuming this because I play the game due to it being about Bleach, just like how I played YBA because it was about JOJO and so on. This could also explain on why games like sakuara stand (being as bad as it is) having so many players due to the amount of animes it has in it.

This is a factor that i wish eclipse would take into account more when speaking on games, because game demographic is REALLY important. When you log onto a random jojo game your first thought is gonna be "where are the rokas and or arrows." this is because other games like that one already have those so its like knowledge everyone already has, the point is a demographic is REALLY important when approaching a game. Because if you your whole life only ever played a pop the bubble mobile game, and then get dropped into an fps game, you will have no clue what you are doing, ofc that is an extreme example but you get the idea. If I'm gonna play a bleach game, its probably because i like bleach, so i would have that pre knowledge. Thats their demographic, otherwise why make a bleach game.
