    A little senseless organized. The flame is too long for this technology, the steel is very long in zinc, which unnecessarily thickens.

      Radosław M that’s what I was thinking the mils on the parts have to differ extremely .. if a customer wants 3.4mils than that’s what they should get not one that’s 1.5 then another bucket is 3.2 and so on ... very inconsistent

    Why it is? Will the small part stick together?

    After skimming the bucket is get dipped into a external solution.
    Why it is? &
    What solution it is?

    • @josephroman3619
      @josephroman3619 7 лет назад +2

      shanmuga prasad I work for a galvanizing plant the solution is called cromate to cool and prevent white rust on the material.

    • @jbiloajbiloa
      @jbiloajbiloa 7 лет назад +1

      yeah i dont know how to say it in english but u can use two things , just water, but the white dust will appear sooner, but it s not a problem, or u can use a solution based on chrome, there are two kinds chrome 3 and and chrome 6 who is less expensive but can cause cancer

    • @siggyincr7447
      @siggyincr7447 7 лет назад +2

      It's a passivization bath to chemically convert the surface layer of the zinc so that it doesn't start oxidizing as quickly. Chromate used to be industry standard, but due to toxicity of the chemicals used other chemicals are more common now.

    • @mr_ms3123
      @mr_ms3123 3 года назад

      Yes sir. 99.9 of it is zink. Bjt there are many other stuff innit. But most important substances innit are atleast 4 metals which are aluminium, (blei is german. Pls translate it) zinn ( same here) and nickel which all of em have their imprtant tasks to the coating itself.

    I heard heating galvanized steel produces toxic gases like zinc oxide. Is this not the case for the heated zinc in the bath?

    • @mikewills6733
      @mikewills6733 6 лет назад

      David Mwabuka 789* f is the melting point of zinc depending on purity .. if you essentially burn the zinc then yes the fumes produced can be toxic ..

    I work for a large strip steel company. Its a different but similar op. In this case do they preheat the parts?

    • @Olympia_Outdoors
      @Olympia_Outdoors 4 года назад

      No. At my plant the parts are dipped in a flux solution before the step you see here. The solution is heated though, so that the steel will be warm when it comes out, an dry faster. Instantaneous cooking of the flux causes the molten zinc to explode.
