I am really surprised that you don’t have hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Your page is filled with so many realistic projects that don’t cost a bomb. I find you very personable and relatable.
You're too kind! I just started this channel almost exactly a year ago actually. Considering, the base is building pretty quickly. Thank you for the encouragement!
Please Tasha, definitely give us a Part 3!!! Your past 2 videos have given us guidance, the step-by-step tips to teach us how to decorate, create a home in an eclectic and curated way, on a budget.
I don’t know what is up with these people going on and on about how they don’t like the look…then don’t watch, keep you jealous negativity to yourself, and move on! I think your videos are terrific in terms of content, style, narration, and production as well as originality. Stay true to yourself and don’t let these bots steal your joy.
Tasha! You have got this DOWN! I enjoyed the narration and outline and body of the content. In my humble opinion, you covered every layer of home decor step by step. You are so generous to share your personal experiences and literally walking us through procuring collections and visualizing our own personal style. Thank you for the rationale of what to choose 0:15 and what to leave behind and supporting that with visual examples. I can’t say enough. This is YOUR THING! Keep going!! 👊🏼🙏🏼🌻
A part 3 would be great! I have been a thrift store shopper for decades and I wound up with a junky looking space. It am very clean and tidy, but nothing flowed. So this year my mantra was carefully curated. and that is how I found you channel while looking for inspiration and motivation. Keep it coming!
Hi our beautiful Tasha. I have been in my attic decluttering. I wish I would have “ known “ you before I bought a lot of the stuff that is up there. I have to say I do have a lot of Tasha items. I love simple pottery, certain florals that are natural looking and I have a great collection of beautiful baskets that I can use as storage or decor. Our home is small so I cannot use all of it at one time. I change things up all the time. I have really gotten into fabrics. We went to an estate sale Saturday that was really just two rooms. I bought four pieces of material. The lady who owned the house said her sister travelled the world and always sent her a piece of material from each place. I told her I loved the pieces I got because they were different. I agree fabric can be used so many ways. I loved what you said about looking in your back yard. I often take branches from our red maple tree just as some of the leaves are changing and put them in a vase or mix them with flowers from our garden. Oh, I love your white blouse. I hope you are doing well. ❤❤❤ I am so hoping that the Ashville NC residents an are getting clothes, food, money, baby formula etc. I watched video after video about the destruction . I was so glad you were not near that area. Thanks Tasha..great job as usual. ❤❤❤❤
I'm sure there are a lot of treasures in your attic. We don't have an attic so I have to reign myself in haha. That is really cool about the fabric! I too am thinking of the west NC Asheville folks--what a tragedy. We are a couple hours away. I know a lot of people from our area are definitely helping and we are all sending supplies, hands to help, and prayers their way.
I love Tasha’s look, I’m a 67 year old Australian and I think she is the best. I actually did two linen covered books recently and they look fab. Keep up the beautiful styling Tasha. I love your videos x
I like your floral arrangements, I think they look elegant. Another tip you might like is when shopping, is look for needlepoint pillows or embroidery. This is very elegant in Europe and embroidery has been around for over 2000 years.
I loved these two videos and would love a third one. You have an excellent decorating gift. Thank you for sharing tips and tricks with us. I look forward to your weekly videos!
Hi Tasha, Couldn’t wait to get home from work and watch part two, I really enjoyed it and I’m definitely looking forward to part 3. As always, great videos! 💕Dee
Loved the tips and tricks on decorating...I love to thrift and I have no problem changing the item to fit my style or color. TFS Tasha, Loved the tips. ❤😊
Hi Tasha. Would love a part 3. Such helpful tips. When I first started thrifting I ended up with a hodge podge of stuff and now realize the steps to make it more cohesive. Thank you! ❤
Absolutely do share a 3 rd video. I love all your tips I’m working towards redecorating our living room, you have been extremely helpful and make it less stressful for me to find what I’m looking for. Thank you 😊
I enjoy your content and I think some viewers are missing the point. They dont have to have your neutral style. The point is you're at the thrift store just like everyone else on a budget. But, intentionality in choosing the items you buy makes the difference in how the home comes together. Even if you have a different style, its good to think about how things will look in your space before you buy a bunch of stuff.
I agree. I have lots more color than Tasha. I have learned so much from her. I do love books to decorate with . I am much more thoughtful when buying stuff for our home now. I have learned from Tasha that I want the bedrooms calmer, less stuff and less colorful. ❤❤❤
Awesome Video!!!! I'm learning that clutter isn't decorating!!!! I have to downsize periodically my decorating areas!!!! Remembering that "less is more"!!!! Thank you for sharing!!! God Bless!!
I just found you tonight. What a wonderful help you’re providing. I’m just figuring out my style and this video alone has helped me so much. Thank you dear.
You give us fantastic ideas! But best for me, are the quick shots of your kitty...so cute and brings a smile everytime....especially when he's "inspecting" your new finds.
I love using books i my decor as well. I don’t have as many “coffee table” books (some on travel). But I do love love vintage books for nook or shelf styling.
The book you write will be in my bookcase one day. And it will come from a book store! I hope to get a signed copy. Really. Love you, friend. Appreciate so much inspiration! 🎉
Part 3 would be great!! As I have told you before .. I really look forward to your new video each week, thank you again for sharing your design ideas I am learning so much from the things you are sharing on here ... have a great week until we get your next video!
I love your ideas so much!!! I hope to retire next year and cannot wait to get my sadly neglected home back on track. All on a very limited budget. Thank so much for the inspiration ❤️
Excellent faux flower/ stem tips….i just tried your painting technique on some ficus stems I saved from a large pottted tree….love the results….thank you…ps I don’t normally like faux but this is fun and a real keeper….and expands the use of the leaves
I’m really enjoying this series. I made a list of things to look for at the thrift store. I found one thing on it last week, a key hanger for my dog leashes, it just needs painted before I put it up. Practical and pretty I hope the series continues
Tasha you have a beautiful home! You have a great eye for putting things together. I have a different style than you, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like other styles as well. I like how you articulate why you style things a certain way, or why you choose certain items. Great video as always.😊
You are proof that it's not about how much one spends or how famous the store is, it's about how well one plans, imagines and styles the items. Thank you so much for showing it's possible without ordering the whole PB, C&B, RH, and Arhaus catalogs. I am in awe of you! I know my style, my color palette, and what I love and I'm very consistent in the aesthetic. But I need to figure out how to arrange things so they are harmonious, balanced and pleasing to the eye. How did you learn how to take all the items you gathered and arrange them just so? I know I have many nice things, I usually just feel like I don't know how to arrange them. It looks okay, but not "styled" like yours and so many professionals look. I want it to look lived in and homey and not a store, but I want it to look curated, too. :) If I look to catalogs, blogs, websites, etc, I just get down and discouraged, rather than informed. I guess I need a mind shift and think of them as textbooks to learn from. Thank you for showing us how it can be done!
It's wonderful that you already know your palette and aesthetic! I think you hit the nail on the head when you said to study designer photos not just looking at the whole effect but taking in placement, details, how many and how close they space things, etc. Try styling a small space like a coffee table by "copying" a designer photo but with your own items. Once you see that it works it's like it clicks and then the more you do it the better you get! I also recommend learning about some of the basics like the rule of three, repetition, varying heights and materials. You might enjoy my video about styling a console where I show exactly how and why I'm placing things. ruclips.net/video/JLWUW9C8-CA/видео.html Thanks so much for watching!! ☺️🤗
I get great ideas from your videos. Thank you. I love the high end stuff, but don’t like the prices. I also work at a thrift store so I’m learning how to DIY from you. 😀
Wonderful tips that everyone can customize to their style! I like the conversation happening in the comments about being stuck in an echo chamber of videos like this that all echo each other’s painting / up-cycling/ styling techniques…there is the chance of making your home look impersonal for the sake of what’s popular. I am currently happily in that echo chamber lol, but I remind myself to truly ask whether I like something and tell myself to curate personal pieces that set my home apart. For example, I like transitional style and watch a lot of channels like this, but I’m seeing that I don’t like the very neutral beige aspect of it, and remind myself that my neutral tone can be a green or a blue etc. That said, I use videos like this as a general guideline and personalize the rules in my head.
Watched twice as I got ready this morning. Might even order some rub and buff! You make changing items feel a little more doable than most. Once again, from Indiana, “Wow, Tasha!” (I actually talk to you as you teach me! Lol)
I must be the only person that doesnt like decorating with books..I mean they look nice...but to me all I see is clutter...something else to clean...I think 2 books is ok but in every table ..all over the home...is to much...I have notice that everyone home is started to look the same...when visiting friends ..I think they are watching the same videos and going to target/pottery barn dupes.. and homes are looking the same..same color story, same DIY rustic vases...same books..cant wait for something different..Thanks for the video...
If books are not your thing, I certainly understand, but as a book lover in a small space, I have had to limit myself to 12 linear yards of books, which translates to 2 tall bookshelves. Those shelves are not “curated”, but full of books. Think library! And any book included in this library needs to be a title I have read and reread. I have been thrifting for years to find hardcover editions of some of the favorites I only had in paperback. The opportunity to bring any favorites out for a closer look on my coffee table is welcome.
I think so too, also with theses ultra designed homes there never seem to be any nice photos of loved ones, I like beautiful photo frames with toning photos to my room decor, otherwise these homes just look too homogenised and void of love.
@@rhiannancaraway right!!!..its exactly what I mean..you go to target same color pallets, same branches , books..pottery barn same thing..OMG..everywhere you go same..same color couch, same sheep style pillow and dont get me started on the ball and now pumpkin pillow..lol...
I feel your sentiment! I think videos like this should be used as a guideline for general styling ideas. From there you can personalize things. Don’t like huge books on display? Create a cozy book shelf. Don’t like meaningless tapestry? Hang up a collected photo gallery. Etc, all the while holding to the general rules of design.
Thanks! The one I have isn't available but this one is the one I would buy if I were choosing one again: amzn.to/3XWLNqJ and is the one on my Amazon storefront
Absolutely, part 3! In the past i threw away a lot of faux greenery , I loved it, but went with the flow of public opinion: looked cheap. Now I am buying this again. My theory, if you do not have money to buy a fancy furniture, fill your space with faux greenery and flowers. My space now looks much more elevated and cozy. Surely, more expensive faux plants look more realistic. My theory however, , again, buy whatever you can. Stick with the faux greenery instead of flowers ( easier to find the " real " ones). I bought a large palm tree for $15 on sale, somebody would say it looks artificial, ....maybe. I cut the leaves, put it in a nice basket, threw a large beads garland i made ...it harmonically fits my space.
I am really surprised that you don’t have hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Your page is filled with so many realistic projects that don’t cost a bomb. I find you very personable and relatable.

Right, there is such a wide variety of quality in faux greenery and florals. It's definitely not all bad 😊
