I would imagine the 200+ mile range would drop to 40 or 50 miles in extreme cold. I still think electic car adoption is still a few generations away. There really isn't any infrastructure for it in the US. Plus, until they can develop rapid charging that take the same amount of time to charge as filling up a tank with gas, it just will not be something most people will buy. I doubt many people traveling across the country would want to wait an hour at a refill station every 250 miles to charge the battery. That's if you are first in line. If 2 cars ahead of you, that's a 3 hour wait.

@@iquitdc I'm surprised how many people here are so unfamiliar with Tesla. They really need to test drive one. The specs blow away the e-tron and the supercharging at work is second to none. Over-the-air updates and autopilot distance Tesla even more from the competition

Why in the world would anyone pay this amount for something so obviously inferior to the Model X? The Etron has better fit and finish, but vastly inferior in every other category.

Thank you for the review. I am excited for new Tesla Competition but As 2 Tesla Owner going onto a Model X Raven Performance , charging Mmmm it’s called reverse into the parking space lol. 2) Model X , 4.4 seconds 5800lbs or 2.7 seconds to 60 mph $105,000 Performance Model. 3) Interior on Audi looks nice but is superfluous adds weight with less range(important) when you are used to Tesla simplicity. Don’t need fake paddle shifter to fake speed🤣. Headroom is better ,visibility is superior in Model X, and it has self closing front and rear doors . Things that are practical for real world use. Ok falcon wing doors maybe overdone!! Power Is always there (sure it is in Audi also just lower Hp and torque) and much more efficient than Audi’s continued bloat and 120 mile less driving range! Audi Etron Gt is the one I believe will be more successful, and overpriced Taycan !

Great review! I know electric is the future, but I think electric cars have about as much heart and soul as the blender on my kitchen counter. What ever happened to hydrogen cars? Maybe we could have done something cool with that. Guess electric cars are cheaper to develop. My next car will probably be one of the last hurrah v8 American muscle cars . Camaro or Mustang because I’m not ready to drive a blender!

Raiti’s Rides - short answer is NO, the AUDI e-tron is Garbage compared to even the BASE model X (lowest price option). The AUDI e-tron may be Luxurious, but that is meaningless if the car simply cannot perform better than a 2012 model S. I actually prefer the Quiet Luxury that the Model X provides, it can do Luxury without being in your face about it. And the Model X is FUN to drive.
Unfortunately AUDI won’t be killing Tesla EVER. and the Model X has Performance in Spades.
A better comparison would put the AUDI e-tron & JAG I-pace against the Model Y when it comes out.
Then that would be an EVEN match given the price on the Model Y.
Though the Model Y is also HIGHER performance than both the JAG & AUDI.
