I just got my 87 to turn over for the first time in two years thank you for the simple video i’ve been troubleshooting for a while Messing with safety neutral switches no more thank you
Broooo thanks so much. Your video saved my car. No longer punching car when i get stuck. This button literally saved my life this summer. Thanks man!!!!!
Dude thank you! Couldn't really find write ups with the same button and didn't know what wire to tap into (starter made the most sense, but I saw people using 30A resistors and shit and just couldn't make sense of it). Guess it was way more simple than I thought. It's succesfully installed in my miata now!
I have a 1995 Camaro Z28 I just did a 383 conversion on. We’ve been through 3 starters. High torque mini starters too. I get 4-5 good starts out of it, then the dreaded CLICK CLICK. It usually will NOT start for hours after. We are thinking something electrical. Would this bypass all that? That way I don’t have to go through everything? I am not an electrical person at all.
Common things I've heard are an issue for no crank on the 4th gen cars are the Ignition switch, ignition control module, vats security and a wire to the key cylinder will break from constant adjusting the steering wheel. Just gets pulled on then breaks and no power to the key.But always check your battery and starter are working first . Hope this helps these cars are a headache.
I got 96 z-28 camaro with tourque head LS coil pack set up but car has days it'll run great but then days it'll just crank over I can hear fuel pump turning on but just cranks over
I have the same car. Awesome car. But mine has an issue that I would turn the key like 10 times and nothing would happen until eventually it' starts. Then after driving around a little and then parked in my driveway it would just turnoff on it's on, weird. Have you ever had that problem?
Quick question what gauge wire did you use? Was that button a 50 amp one? Seen one that looks similar on Amazon but don’t know which gauge size wiring to get
it needs a 12 volt power source. the number 3 wire needs to be run to anything that powers up when you turn the key on. like the radio power. thats what that 3rd connector on the button is for.
I'm not 100% sure but I believe the vats also cuts the injectors so no fuel. There are videos that show you how to bypass the vats by installing resistors under your dash. If you have the flashing or steady security light that doesn't turn off. here is a vid to bypass vats. ruclips.net/video/3PkHTxDQpkE/видео.html

you could use the wires under the dash from the old ignition to fire it up instead of running all new wires...
If you know how to find them then yes it's a better way. This is just more noob friendly I think.

Wanted to ask if it mattered if it was touched together with the theft deterrent relay
My clicking problem was caused by missing 1volts from ignition switch.i may install that push button
Thanks I have a 3rd Gen camaro having ignition issues planning on doing the same thing!

Can I wire the terminal number 3 to the keys so when I turn the key on the light would come out?
What gauge wire should I use with a 50 amp push start button?
Do you have a video for your stereo install?
What gauge wiring did you use?

Great vid thanks my 3rd wire doesn't light up the illumination don't know why it's grounded
That’s a 6 gauge wire?
So this bypasses the chip on the key?
I just bought this same button in blue. Car wont start. Had vats issue and bypassed, still no start so I’m gonna try this.
What gage are the wires ??
Why 2 different color wire? Curious I’m in the process
its just what I had around
What gage wire did you use
Hi, I bought the same switch but from Amazon and I can't get it to illuminate. Would you know why. Thank you in advance.

Ima go try this out. Been having the same issue for a while now. But this magic button should help my problems
Could I use this to bypass the vats system?
Found out yet
Wondering the same thing. I found a vats bypass module on ebay for about $23

Someone did this crap to mine so now I'm trying to figure out how to undo it
I mean you just unplug the switch, then diagnose the issue
Or just hotwire it
