I started watching your videos years ago for my e92 and here I am back today for more help. I appreciate your work and I appreciate that you guys never take your wrist watches off under any circumstance :D.
Where is n55 ccv located ,is on vlave cover or intake manifold ?! Because im having issues oil consuming and white smoke a bit but when i rew my car after release gaspedal is more so i think i have a bad pcv/ccv valve !
Is there a way to test the CCV on the vehicle without pulling the entire intake manifold?
check if theres a vacuum in the engine. can check by pulling off the ouil cover whilst engine is running
@@sannyp120963 And of engine is sucking on oil cap?
Not true for the N51, there is no CCV valve under the intake. The PCV is built into the valve cover, to fix it you replace the entire valve cover.
There is a rebuild kit for only the valve, you have to cut the pcv by something
I believe my n54 has a bad CCV. After about 20 mins of driving it will throw the typical VANOS codes and go to half power. I removed the oil fill cap and it had a lot of vacuum. Can I loosen the oil fill cap and test drive it for a bit to see if the code reappears or not? I don't want to invest in a new valve cover/CCV unit of it won't be the solution. I have a brand new upgraded PCV installed last spring so I'm sure it's either my CCV or my cam ledges going
Thanks for the video. Very helpfull!!
He said short trips he’s right just keep engine on less problems if there’s problems for most of my bmw problems occur within the first 5 minutes of starting like coolant overheating I just turn off ,turn on car again
Can you help me ,I changed my ccv ....and now it doesn't gage oil ,doesn't ccv valve connector or plug have an effect if it's not connected internally correct sequence?
Have watched close to 50 of your videos over the years. THANK YOU !! Subscribed and liked !
Not sure if you guys know but their is an active recall for those heaters . Bmw replaces them for free . I just had mine done .
What heaters exactly? Thanks
@@mshahid2898 There are little heater elements in the oil seperator and some of the pipes (the ones with wires connected to them) to preven oil sludging in cold weather but they were known to be a fire risk on some of the early cars so BMW issued a recall for those parts to update with revised parts.
Rough idle cold start ??
That’s the problem I’m having rough idle only on cold start for like 10 seconds then goes away other than that car runs flawlessly during the day
Same I’m having rough idle on cold start to then goes away…I heard something related to the eccentric shaft sensor
Same issue with my E90 325i
I have a 2011 328i N51 SULEV does my engine contain this part as well I have those symptoms however everywhere I look for a replacement part all says does not fit your vehicle.
That because pcv valve for n51 is integrated into the valve cover so you must change the whole valve cover. Here’s the part number #11127552281
@@vincejones3381 do you happen to know if this is covered under the 15yr/150k Mi SULEV warranty?
@@buddhaspalm170 unfortunately, it does not. However, there are components that are covered under the SULEV warranty that requires the removal of the valve cover. If so, I would replace the valve cover at the same time but probably at an additional cost for the part whereas the labor is “free”.
I'm having the same problem white smoke blowing heavy out the exhaust and oil burning out fast
Did u ever fix it what was the issue
@@brandonsaric5287 put in a new ccv

@@mikeychainsaw9760 okay well hopefully that’s what’s wrong with mine it’s Smokey heavy ordered the part just waiting
I promise I'm not trying to be mean, or rude, but it is really hard for me to focus on the information with the amount of times you are saying "alright, guys?" Or "ok, guys." Also, not even sure that everyone watching even is a guy. Your information is solid, and I do appreciate your videos, thanks.
How do you know the info is solid if you cannot focus on it? Either you got the content and just had to criticize something or you don"t. Which one is it? Ask yourself and answer yourself.
I feel like that's a you problem then. I understood perfectly fine.
I need to know where is the pcv located on a bmw 330i 2006
Valve cover I do believe. You can't just replace the PCV on your model. The new valve cover comes with PCV already integrated into the cover w/new bolts, and gasket. ECSTUNING.COM they're the only ones I use for my e92 n54.
@@MENACE6 nah, that’s the N51/plastic valve cover motors. N52B30 is under the intake and separate from the VC
@@SixSpeedSeven thanks for this comment I have a 2008 X5 3.0 any ideas where I can find the ccv I been searching but it’s super confusing, any help would be deeply appreciated thanks
