i hope everyone managed to escape the sinking sub 🐋🐋
@@nissmoguy I think not 😂
If it's your first diorama, whow good for a premiere!!!
Hat off to you. Meticulous work. Stunning finish.
We want spaceships!
At 65 years of age I can say I've seen a lot in my day . But that diorama of the sub being hit with depth charges absolutely impressed the he'll out of me . Man you've definitely found your calling for recreating historical war scenes. I'm totally blown away by the realism . Great job indeed .
@@Chris0nwheelz Man what a gift he has indeed . There's probably nothing he can't do in the way of creating realistic looking diarama's . Like I say , I've seen a lot in my day but that skill or talent or both he possesses is absolutely amazing. We should all be so lucky , absolutely incredible.
I couldn't have said it any better. And I'm 65 too!!
I’m 70 and I agree with you
@@robertmillen2967 I showed this to my dad...he's 94, was in the Navy WW2. He almost cried looking at this...he said that looks like what it really was. He watched this video about 5 times, completely awestruck.
How can I get in contact with Mr. WhatsApp (this is sarcasm)
I love how dynamic it looks. The sacrifice of the sub was well worth it.
Admiral Dönitz would disagree with that statement.
@@XFly170 True. But his tiny, per scale objections are small and distant!
@@TyMoore95503 Isn’t that what Putin said to another head of state on the subject of the invasion of Ukraine?
@@XFly170 Or what the Ukrainians said when they sunk Putin's stupid battleship
@@TyMoore95503 NEIN!!
The test of whether or not something is art is if it engages you emotionally. This piece is a striking piece of art. It realism and dynamism almost makes you feel sorry for her crews, and does so for the many crews that met such a fate.
It perfectly, and succinctly, encompasses the meaning of ‘war’.
for me too impious to freeze the death of abot 60 submarine crew members
Wow so as a chef I engage with people on multiple levels...such a shame that my career barely allows me to afford to live life and afford basic necessities of life.
What an incredible amount of work this model maker put into building this particular diorama.
"this is experimental to me, be kind"
**proceeds to build masterpiece**
Absolute genius. This needs to be on display in a museum.
If this was 2 meters long, that would be really amazing museum piece!
@@Puleczech It would be really impressive to see a 6ft model of this diorama. I'd probably stare at it for hours.
I've been building models and such for over 60 years. Seen many a diorama and models of all types. This has to be one of the best and most creative ever. Thanks for sharing your work.
I am utterly speechless for how good it turned out, the attention to detail was incredible....the bubbles from the depth charges! so good.
This takes a huge amount of imagination, planning, and knowhow to pull off. Incredible!
But does he still have a wife?? Just kidding....
This blew my mind it's so good
That’s nothing! My father once built an entire box of matches out of the Taj Mahal! 🤡 PS: seriously though, what a fantastic feat of miniaturisation.
Everyone here should stop using that pun.
Leo Kim video how’s your spider infestation #ripgonzo
@@Robil63 Ronnie Mcnutt?
Incredible detail. Random colors on cotton balls, lit from inside by colored LED's. Looks so realistic. Amazing!!
Love the dramatic outcome of your creativity ! I could watch this over and over again !!!!
I'm an old man that isn't impressed by much any more, but this dropped my jaw. Phenomenal work.
Me too!! (old man and very impressed)
@ TheHigherVoltage perhaps if you weren’t such an old man you wouldn’t feel this way…
Me too.
@@dimwitsixtytwelve With age comes experience. If you've found any art in this medium to be more impressive, point it out. Would love to see it.
@@TheHigherVoltage I was responding to the point that you seem jaded. you said little impresses you.
This is better than most museum quality dioramas I've seen. Nice work!
Those museum dioramas must be something. Would like to see a couple and how they are made.
Just sitting here in awe of the creativity and skill that went into creating this model. Great job!
Bravo. The details are remarkable. You managed to capture a moment in time that is as believable as a picture. Great job.
My compliments. I have been building models since the 1960's. But you sir, are out of my league both in execution and imagination. Well done.
Same here, this builder is in my humble opinion is a master diorama builder.
Now this is one of the best dioramas of a u boat explosion that I have seen in a very long time! Great modeling! Pros at work! Thanks
First time I've ever seen this.amazing!
You know its a great model when it makes you uncomfortable to look at.
you look at many boat expllosion dioramas?
@@TheFreshPeddler good question, no, but the time any modeler works hard to get it to look authentically detailed as to being so close to realistic, I only expressed his work as excellent and know that he would agree. Thanks
Now this is one of the best dioramas -of a u boat explosion- that I have seen -in a very long time- !
Incredible vision, fore-sight and absolute artistry in being able to envision this in your mind and then pull it all together! Well done!
OUTSTANDING. brilliant use of cotton to depict air bubbles. kudos to your soldering and electrical abilities as well.
The coloration on the explosions is what really sells it. Visually striking and very well done.
Starting with such a high-quality model really helps, too
Beautyfull man, but one thing is missing to be perfect;) no mark after bomb which actually hit the target. Anyway great job!
Realistic under water explosion created with cotton and LEDs immersed in resin -- truly amazing!
Watching this again and I'm just as amazed as I was 11 months ago. Absolutely incredible.
A superb artist at work. Excellent design and execution. Thank you for sharing!
I would never have figured the cotton wool would look as good as it does. I would have thought the resin would react with it but the explosive effects turned out great as did the bubble trails for the depth charges. Fantastic work.
Outstanding work, as per usual! Something that I've seen done before was letting the resin cure in layers, to eliminate the need for clear stands for depth charges; I can see that working quite nicely with your style, so that might be worth experimenting with if you decide to do a diorama like this again at some point
Might reduce heat as well?
I kind of liked the stands, they looked like the bubbles from them sinking
You would need to be really careful not to end up with a visual boundary between the layers, though. It can be done, but I've had the misfortune of it happening in one of my projects.
@@toddz8579 as a diver, the visual boundary is often encountered in undisturbed waters: deep inlets, deep dives. There's no water movement, so the "layer" is the temperature difference. But like plastic looks like glass in modelling, but GLASS doesn't look like...........glass, I can understand it may not look real. !!!!
@@AmokCanuck I agree.
Absolutely incredible. I have have been building diorama’s for many years and have never seen any model like this. Congratulations, this is without a doubt museum quality work my friend. You are GOOD.
What vision and skills you have to put this diorama together, just magnificent.
You are very talented! This is one of the best resin dioramas I have ever seen. I am a WW II history enthusiast and I cannot believe how real this looks. Great job my friend, GREAT JOB!😁
Very nice work. 👌 congratulations 👍
Very nice build! Excellent detailing! Liked your "box" too.
It worked great. Back in the day I built and detailed helicopters, planes, tanks, miniature soldiers etc. I think I'm going to give this stuff a try after watching this. Thank you for sharing it.
This is definitely one of the coolest things that I've seen in a long time. You Sir, are incredibly talented.
"I've never done something like this before."
Does an amazing job on the first try
I never ever build anything like that in my life but I just love watching others do it. It looks really awesome.
great job! your creative choice of medium and your attention to detail is amazing.
I can't stop watching these. Having severe ptsd and watching these videos brings out the kid in me again. Thank you so much!
Hope you are okay! Also agree, this stuff is amazing!!
Incredibly detailed, interesting to look at, and with the ability to teach history. Keep 'em coming, stuff like this belongs in museums.
One of the most incredible things I've ever seen! What an imagination and a tip of the hat to your skills!
I'd buy this in a heartbeat. Excellent work and imagination! I need to scroll through your videos
Your imagination and skill leave me absolutely flabbergasted. I just wish I could purchase dioramas like this for display. This one is incredible. Thank you so much for sharing.
hard to believe you havent done this like 50 times already, it looks stunning
My God, that was an amazing display of artistic craftsmanship. I am beyond impressed with your creativity and exploration of detail. As much as I appreciate your detail I am haunted by the reality of war in your display. I can truly appreciate the artisanship in your work and capture of the horrors of man. Thank you for not only your talent as an artist but thank you for the sobering reality of war.
VERY GOOD INDEED! I did lots of Tank models way back about 50 years ago. The cotton trick on gun barrels, etc... You have taken it to a whole new level, Thanks for rewarming an old passion. :-)
Well at 70 years of age I have to echo exactly of my friend who is 65 years of age. Wow! Its wonderfully imaginative, and beautifully executed. Well done. In realism, its a diorama for the ages. Ive never seen a better. Thank you for your video. Australia.
I have never seen anything quite like this. Utterly fascinating! Such talent and patience something like this takes. Wow, just wow!!
Incredible work! The explosion effect is masterful - so realistic. Thanks for a peek behind the artistry curtain with this step-by-step. I can only imagine the comments and compliments from those who see it IRL.
Very impressive. It's rare to see people with such skill with their hands these days. Your skill earned you a sub.
What a time we live in where great artists can share their craft.
Remarkable talent remarkable showpiece.
I'm an accomplished hobbyist myself and I can say this piece was phenomenal!
Stunning.
@@paulpaull3739 Absolutely. Especially because it's a smaller model as well. The smaller it is the more difficult and tedious everything about it is going to be.
That was absolutely beautiful! You have a great talent. I especially like the 'incoming' depth charges, they are a great touch. Thanks for the video.
The Art of War beautified . . . . . . . . . INCREDIBLE SKILL
Thank you for posting this magic
This is one of the best, if not actually the best, submarine diorama I have ever seen!!
Absolutely one of the most realistic models of an 'event' that I've ever seen. I built models as a kid growing up, hot-rods, planes, battleships and a few subs, but never thought of trying something like that (didn't have the materials back then, either). A real 'eye-catcher'! Thanks for sharing!
Wowww love the detail of the cotton splashes on top of the diorama not being directly over the explosions to make it look like there’s actual refraction of light. Super cool detail!
That was utterly amazing. I'm speechless. Thank you so much for sharing this!
If that is your first time, very impressive! You are already a legend at this type of work!
Великолепная работа ! Видео впечатляет! Музыкальный фон тоже понравился.
Very clever stuff,my compliments to the artists-I’m always amazed how something as simple as cotton wool makes such a realistic diorama material, looks fantastic
Ik its absolutely mad! I guess anything is possible with anything🔥
Dude this is incredible !!!! You are a true master at your craft. You have a gift my friend!
The depth charges are just brilliant!
I love how you'd make such great efforts in the attention to each single details, totally got blown away by your artwork 👍
Totally amazing!! I have never seen any artwork like this before. As an artist, you have completely perfected your craft!!
this is one of the most beautiful pieces of art i have ever seen
I'm speechless! My goodness that is phenomenal workmanship !
I say your experiments went off with a bang! The explosions are excellent and the entire model is very lifelike. Phenomenal work.
Wow. my wife has recently started working with RESIN.. so this gives me even more appreciation for the work you did with this! great job!!
Unreal. Emotionally compelling, like great art is.
Simply amazing work. I have always loved dioramas. Yours will inspire many to build one. I'm sure.
Absolutely amazing work. It almost looks more real than the actual thing.
Amazing work! Incredibly realistic looking!
The first diorama I saw a year ago and it immediately cause my to love your channel. Keep making wonders
I have no words for this type of talent. This is just beautiful and terrifying at the same time.
The dyed cotton explosion looks absolutely life like! If this was your first, I wonder just how realistic your dioramas will look in the future! Fabulous stuff!
The cotton explosions with the LED's beneath looks amazing! Great job!
Wow I can almost hear the action, thank you for sharing your gift
Absolutely incredible, awesome job!!!! The U-Boat service saw a 75% fatality rate and I cannot even begin to imagine what is was like. R.I.P. to all who lost their lives.
This would make an amazing museum display. Such detail. Really gives you perspective as to the underwater violent nature of depth charges!
Brilliant work, normally I fast forward to the end but this was worth the watch!! Amazing.
Incroyable talent ... la meilleure vidéo de 2022 pour moi jusqu'ici !
This is absolutely beautiful! The detail is amazing. You are a true artist! I love the history of the submarine and the Wolf Pack of WW2. Great job, you should be proud!
It’s so amazing when all the disparate pieces come together to form an amazing diorama. Thank you.
My dad in the late 60’s and early 70’s did some awesome balsa wood model planes of WW2 …I was always in awe …. I dont know much about model building however I never had the patients these guys and my dad have…but i think your models are awesome …maybe at 59 years old I may Ry my hand once again at these…I was a Marine in early 80’s so i will try doing something Marine related …Thanks for your videos !!!
What a fantastic diorama so well thought out and executed, never seen anything like this before.
That's one hell of a job, the charges detail was my favorite part, so simple with cotton, and it looks perfect, a charge traveling down. 😎 👍
It looks amazing, and was quite relaxing to watch.
This looks AMAZING, SO REAL, THANK YOU
Brilliant. It knocked my socks off. Well done!
That looks absurdly good, especially for a test. Well done!
Well Done!! As a veteran military & railroad modeler, I am impressed and inspired!
Same bro
This is insane...the level of detail... just...Wow!
Absolutly amazing, I wouldn't have a clue but you clearly have a major talent, really well done!
creativity, vision and executions at its finest. I was not confident in the cotton ball but once it got saturated with the resin to make it semi transparent, it was genius. I just subscribed ☺️
Me too, very impressed.
Outstanding work! Awesome results! 👏🏻👏🏻
Excellent work. Truly an artist.
This is one of the most talented things I’ve seen this year
Good lord it looks so damn real. Amazing what you can do my friend. Keep up the excellent work as always.
It’s really impressive how well the painted cotton balls replicate explosions when dipped in resin and backlit.
For a first time, that's impressive !! Congratulations!
Outstanding work, video and presentation.
