For this week's cover, Lord Vader switched his full kit with the MPS-10 sampler pad, since the main groove of song SINGLE LADIES (PUT A RING ON IT) by BEYONCÉ basically consists of a kick drum, a snare drum and some sampled hand claps. Because of that, it's not a typical song to cover on drums, but transferring the beat to a sampler pad and playing it live on there can actually be tons of fun. It's really nice to try something different once in a while, and that's where that drum pad comes in handy for me. The song itself was released as a single for Beyoncé's album I AM... SASHA FIERCE back in 2008. It reached number 1 of the Billboard Hot 100 and won no less than three grammy awards. You might also remember the black and white music video with the iconic dance choreography that surely helped this song to become that successful. So if you like it, don't forget to put a ring on it.
