I had got all but a couple of my void rig materials farmed out over the course of a couple days, when I went to sleep with one resource left to farm. Then when I woke up in the morning, the crafting recipes had changed and a lot of the items I worked so hard for, were no longer needed, and resources that I hadn’t collected, I now suddenly needed. My neighbors probably heard all about that one through the walls

@@lookalike4805Sounds like it. Honestly when I mine I go after everything just in case I need it later. Reduces later grind for a couple more minutes per cave.

I get that when it was released it was the New Thing and they needed to stop us from getting it day one.
But like, did they HAVE to make early Necramech Grind ACTUAL HELL though?
The standing was what got me, had everything else and had to shelve it because I wasn’t ranked enough to get the bait.. I won’t lie it’s almost too easy now, I’m a lil salty lol
Back when it released there was no stories that directly required it so there was no urgency. That obviously changed when it and railjack became story quest requirements.
the thing is that back then the necramech wasn't needed for anything, it was just a funny mech you could unlock to make everything in open worlds explode, and that was imo fine as long as it wasn't required.
then it became a mandatory item for the new war locked behind a massive grind. . i actually quit warframe for several months after getting brunt out on deimos vaults trying to get the standing and the parts. i only came back because i logged in to check out the duviri tennocon relay, and got a message that at some point DE realized it sucked and I received the blueprints for free, which motivated me enough to get the rest done and catch up.
My thought has always been, really, would it have been so hard to just loan people a necramech if they didnt have one? I mean, its not like they make you build the parascesis for the new war, it just shows up equipped even though i never built the thing. Just, have a voice line from father to explain he express shipped it to you to help fight narmer.
The fact that it was made *easier* before, and I *still* had a hell of a time farming it just last year is just criminal…I can’t imagine doing all this when it came out…

@@pancakemixwithblueberriesinit Ha, actually we were both wrong. Heciphron, correct, is from Deimos. Hexenon is the orange blocky things from Jupiter. Hesperon is what I was thinking of from Fortuna. Wow, did not realize three of those things sound so close.
That said, I will be trying to mine far from the Necralisk to test if it works there, I know on Fortuna and the Plains, farther away mining yields rarer ores/gems.

Today I spent 4-5 hours to get the 40 heciphron. I’m not sure exactly because I took a brief break to go to Fortuna and get a little more Travocite…

I fully believe it was a nightmare, but tbh I don't really remember it at all. I did it right when they were first added to the game, and just by playing around in the area experiencing all the things it had to offer, and grinding up standing at the same time for a bunch of things I just naturally got all the items I needed to craft the necromech

I am just at New War prologue and, from all the outdated guides, thought getting plat from trading and buying Voidrig outright is the fastest way. Now I am not as scared of this grind as before.
How long did it take to you?

Nah. At that point buying the parts for 60 plat is still faster, you can easily sell prime parts and remake the 60 plat in just a few hours lmao. Im not spending 3 days farming this horse sh**

i grinded a voidrig with my partner post-jade shadows, and it was actually worse than when i grinded my own voidrig years ago. ONLY because of the heciphron. current heciphron is even worse than old necrathene.
If you go into the vaults and kill the mechs but don't find the vault door a ton of enemies spawn and i used that with the Requiem obelisks to get a ton of heciphron
@@chippler5822 one can obtain necrathene more often than heciphron via this method, which is pretty weird.
For newer players who might not know when your farming common drop ore use a common drill using a rare drill like fortuna sunpoint will make the drops very low you can also fail the mini game to uncrease drop rate of commons with a rare drill
Yeah, the sunpoint drill and advanced nosam cutter have a higher chance of rare ores and gems, so using the normal nosam is recommended for common ones.

@@Samamander99 you know, you might be right. Damn. If I remember correctly he said it makes a difference, but it’s negligible?
Edit: Yeah, just watched it again, and using the Nosam Cutter can actually make mining for common minerals worse, so just using the Sunpoint is the most efficient option.
I'm still happy to say that I farmed my necramech pew pew and slash slash versions before these easy patches came out. Loved exploring this infested mini area at the time so I didn't get bored farming for thhese mats.
RE: Orokin Cells
farm Lephantis on Deimos. Each head in the 1st phase has a high chance of dropping one, and then the body in the second phase can drop one as well.

It's insane to me that people are complaining that the grind got easier
Oh, they've been doing that for years. When I saw some of the changes DE made to debt-bonds, because the Solaris United grind was so rough to advance through, TONS of people complained that it was supposed to be hard or supposed to take forever or whatever. If a person thinks they should be compensated for their time bashing their face against an initial grind, I don't have a problem with that, especially since DE has, several times, done that very thing. But grinds being LESSENED is a good thing in general.

I'm usually on the side of not making a challenge easier to cater to a broader audience BUT in the case of grinding, especially for a required mechanic, it should be as accessible and intuitive as possible.
I'm happy the grind got easier, because although one of my friends bought me my first voidrig, I did grind out a bonewidow by myself, way way later, and it was still such a chore. I kept telling my other friend who's sort of just starting out in warframe that if he's gonna spend plat, the thing he should focus on is the necramech, because it was just so much of a hassle. But since this is changing, I can tell him not to worry! People with the "I got mine" mentality- be it in a video game or in any of the multitude of situations this crap comes up IRL- are a total blight.

I think there's new Necramech content coming. Reb said last year Pablos working on something for this year when someone ask her about new Railjack content and she said no Railjack but Necramech. Also said there wouldn't be more Necramechs
I'm glad they made it easier for newer players. Isolation vaults are challenging for lower MR players too, with limited weapon choices, mods, and arcanes.
i recently found people complaining about the farms of syndicates in youtube comms on another vid, poor souls if they had experienced day 1 of each OPW syndicates they would have jumped from the window in minecraft
I still remember a friend who gifted me one because the farm for that was tedious. He was in a hurry for me to catch up with the game after I took a break from it. I was about to complete the farm when he sent me one. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 But I'm used to farming hard in games like WoW and WF. Glad they made it easier for the players now.
Slog for a new player nothing, requiring basically ALL the open-world syndicates at max to get gemstone blueprints was kinda insane, especially with how hard it seems to get runs in Fortuna the last time I poked my head in to even attempt. Between this and the starting value on the quest for Yarellie, I got major burnout and hadn't really played Warframe that much since New War was close to release. Knowing that I can forseeably get the necramech blueprints laying around in my ship finished is nice at least, tho I'm still gonna have to wrangle around some of the Ventkid stuff to finish Yarellie

For obelisks you can use Excalibur Umbra’s passive to get kills, since his kills also counts as operator’s.

The void rig farm was the most fun I had in all the game, I didn't farm it when it was super hard, just the way it was before the jade update, Still lots of fun and made me understand the game a bit more.
OG Necramech farm is to this day the only thing in this game I've ever said "F**K IT I'M BUYING THIS PIECE OF S**T" to (direct quote)
After coming back from a 2+ year break me and a friend did iso vaults for multiple full bounty cycles over multiple days and were still missing one part. Spent another 8 or so hours solo trying to get the rare mods before the Cavia showed up and eventually got so fed up that I took another almost year long break from the game. Every time I see any kind of Necramech grind reduction in the patch notes I celebrate.
It's hilarious to me how I was able to farm everything Necramech related, BUT a goddamn barrel for the Cortege, 3-5 years later when Deimos dropped, cause the drop chances are still fucked.
I'm a newbie and it took me around 2 days for this now. Thanks for this video.
I just got to the part where I have to build a necramech and my friends have been telling me the grind is awful but this video makes it seem not as bad.
It used to be worse, and worse still, and worse yet still. On release the grind was abysmal. Welcome to a more polished experience!
Another thing you can do if you're already flying around deimos is to use itzal's 3rd ability to break crates and gather all the materials at once, especially in the 2 large caves
You can get the spinal cores as a random drop from cambrion storage pimples so thats even less that is needed to fish for. Same for i believe parasitic tethermaw but i may be wrong
Got this a few weeks ago, maybe 2? It wasn't fun to do all the mining, but realizing I didn't need to do the entire mining animation on useless veins helped speed it up, along with going inside the mines to find them instead of doing the overworld
I didn't realize they changed the gem requirements. That explains why my Embolos and Xenorhast haven't been selling on the market.

Health Tank weapons platform, with nourish or roar subsumed over 1st ability, shield of shadows and despoil augments. Adaptation, all three umbral mods maxed. You can health Tank with nekros up to 2-4hrs in Mot steelpath (as a baseline example.)

I sincerely hope that this means there will be more necramechs + mods and QoL changes. I had a ridiculous amount of fun ranking my Bonewidow and very much would like more.
I got back into Warframe around October of last year, and I saw that everything was locked behind the New War, and to access the New War I needed to create a Void Rig. It took me a whole month to get everything, starting from Entrati rank 0. Good God that was painful
Fishing in that planet is weird. One time there's plenty of fish, then there's no fish at all even after using baits
I got mine during the hardest part, pos launch, and i will, go everyone can get this fun heavy machinery to play.
It is funny how things balance, now it is easier to get than before, but if you play when the new place is on the hype, you will not have problems finding party for it, so before it was more grind but party was never a problem, now it is less grindy but there is a lot less people there, so less carries.
As a veteran i will repeat, treat warframe like a hobby, do a bit each day, when you feel bored, just stop, dont treat like a job, because it isnt, it will not pay you for your troubles, have fun Tenn0, you are not a corpus on shift.
Good advise. It's a marathon, but can be an enjoyable marathon if you are able to let go of the feeling of "I have get that thing ASAP", instead of "maybe tomorrow"

I have two friends starting warframe, ill probably farm these parts for them, im nearly done with my farm and this was a pain in the ass, with wll the standing that time gates you, and the boring mining...
No idea if it's just on my end but farming Heciphron in Obelisks is more generous since i barely get any without boosters for veins. As for Orokin cells, best advice is get Limbo from the quest, mod him with Fleeting Expertise + Stretch + Augur reach or add Overextended. And run around Exta ceres. The Orokin Caches spawn in abundance there. Bad day there's at least 2, good rng there's like 4 and all of them has has a chance to drop 2 instead of 1. Orokin Cell Arrays are really good and doesn't waste time.

When i was working to get my first rig all i needed was the damaged pod, i had all the other resources build one.
When you kill a mech in iso vaults it drops one item thats one of the 4 damaged pieces too each player.
We had 4 guys running tier 3 vaults, thats 12 rolls at 1/4 chance for the pod every 15-30 minutes.
It took over 20 indavidual runs for one to finnaly drop, more than 240 rolls that failed.
Less than a 1.03443502E−30% chance
i was always a nekros to make another piece spawn, so it dont took long, once we got helmith with silence, it was simple.
It took me three months to grind out the necramech peices and when I had to help a friend it took two weeks on top of that. I hated that grind with a passion... I haven't touch non-entrati deimos since that... I actually ended up getting Xaku from doing that grind as it was.... I got xaku and fully ranked them before getting the thing I was grinding for... good to know it's now completely over...
What a PAIN it was to farm that thing back than. Guess I farm a second one just because it's easer now

i did it a month ago i was afraid because of what people have said but when i tried it i realized that it had been changed it just took me 5 hours 3 of them were for one specific ore and the damaged parts i already had
I remember grinding in trade chat instead and buying the pack voidrig + railjack bundle with the crew members. Haven't watched the video yet, so to this day, I couldn't even tell you what the grind even is. I just heard it was some bull and completely avoided it lmao.
Not to make you feel bad but the railjack has been insanely easy to get for a few years now it was really bad when it first came out tho so if you were told it’s a hard farm that’s why. Voidrig was a good purchase at the time tho

Funny story about my farm for it. I was grinding out the last items I needed for the necramech… then the jade shadows update happened, and it turns out I wasted my time fishing. Oh well.

I’ve had some issues when it comes to Cambion Drift fishing that I haven’t had with neither Plains nor Orb Vallis.
It feels like whenever I find a hotspot and set up at it, fish will quite frequently refuse to keep spawning. There will be the initial swarm of them, which is soon followed by almost none. The exocrine will still have a hotspot active, and the bait I am using still would have not run out, yet the fish are nowhere to be found.
The only theory I have is that I am somehow scaring the fish away.
When fishing in water or coolant, stepping in the liquid forms ripples which causes nearby fish to get spooked and scatter (and if they become even more spooked, they despawn). The exocrine, on the other hand, is a solid, so it doesn’t show ripples when you step on it. However, I believe the Cambion Drift fish still have the same AI where they will scatter (and eventually despawn) if you are too close to them. This would become even more of an issue since they can swim above the exocrine, making it harder to be outside of their alertness range.
Any thoughts?
Exocrine is a semisolid. Sound travels in waves. So the ripple effect is still present.
Fish to get scared if you get close or interact (even with the spear that's supposed to not scare them). The best fix is to go out of bounds or out of range. Usually this would mean throwing yourself into the fishing spot, but that doesn't work in the Drift so the best option when rates flatline is to just teleport away (blinkpad) and come back.

Originally I had spent well over 2 hours trying to get Thaumica. Granted, it was also not extremely common knowledge that the distance from spawn determined mined resources at the time. Original Necramech grinds were a pain!
When was this? That became common knowledge soon affer plains of eidolon released
@@rainingdeathx3368 it wasn't very clearly stated on the wiki for mining or on the resource page for Thaumica. Since then it had changed, but so have the recipes.

Be advised that while owning two accounts is okay, they should never interact in any way.
Not gonna lie I don't like these changes. I remember my time farming the Void Rig for the first time and while yes it was a hard and long and generally a drag but it forced me to investigate and utilise different Cambion Drift Mechanics like the obelisks or taught me how to fish away for rare and expensive fish. While it was hard to get the void rig the whole process was so enjoyable!
I too like how it made me explore the free to roam areas, mine, and fish. ISO vaults were also good to learn, grind, and become better at. But I think that’s why I’d say we’re different than who the changes are targeting.. so many new players leave when it comes to the nechramech grind. I remember watching new Warframe TikTokers, and viewers would just buy them the whole set so they would avoid the grind.
I’m for the change, even though I enjoyed the grind.

Finally they made it accessible. Although I made quite a few bucks selling built Casings for 40p a pop.
Yeah, I sold a few set of broken mech parts as well and made some plat. Eh, that's fine, there's other stuff to collect to make plat. I'd rather grinds be made easier, and that's what DE has done.
You need to use a low-tier mining laser to even have a chance at heciphron, and those don't have mining radars!
I used the Obelisk method myself, mining with a shit-tier laser is painfull AF, also you can use it to level some AMPS.
This is entirely incorrect, especially given the Heciphron drops happening during this video.
@@TheKengineer Don't know what to tell you, but I farmed my Necramech 3 weeks ago, and I had literally ZERO drops of heciphron while I farmed ALL the other mats, I swapped to the 2nd Ostron mining laser and got a few heciphron, but not a lot, and it was painfull without radar, then I swapped to doing obelisk and got the 40ish I needed in under 2 hours.
Edit: I was a returning player so while I am high MR, I had to start from zero in the Cambion Drift.

I remember needing to farm everything when new war came out and it was BAD
Vaults are pretty good content if maybe be difficult for new it feels like a substantial challenging dungeon different from most missions in the game, and I dont agree with making them completely irrelevant. DE should not have made Mech mandatory for the quest in the first place creating this unnecessary progression stopper (you barely even use the mech in New War).
@@EllaKarhu new players couldn't kill mechs, and there is nothing to get bored of, the stages are very short and you dont need to do the loid waiting part if you dont care about extra vault loot. Previous iteration was already a guaranteed drop so you had to do it only few times. Not sure whats the sciliant situation now - thats one problematic resource you'd still have to farm for Xaku and some weapons.
Don't get me wrong, this change is highly appreciated , but it still makes sense to get this stuff for plat since you can make 120-200 plat per hour in cascade depending on mod boosters/ relic rarity.
But you’d need the mech to even get to cascade

I am one of those players that usually give away voidrigs because one of the only things I spent money on for this game was the anniversary pack I think? You got a emblem and Plat and a color palette. But I used the Plat to get voidrig because I did the story missions back to back and got hit with that "farm a voidrig" wall, so I spent the money just to use the rig for like 3 mins, I was so damn salty. So after awhile I figured I could actually some what help people with that wall by just giving them the built parts they just had to wait for build time. Glad they actually made it way easier since I haven't played in a few months.
This could have been useful 2 months ago but this is better for alt account or new players

Not related to the video, but I need to know: since grineer (and most other factions) no longer take extra damage from more than one element, is it still worth to use multiple elements in a weapon?
I know the element proc can be useful, but depending on the weapon, it's better to make the single proc more consistent + an extra mod slot, isn't it?
each new element increase the total damage, so you can just mod super strong neutral elements and still have power, the power creep is so large that it dont matter outside the self challenges, max run were never a thing DE planned, so it is just like that, EDA is even worse.
so if you know damage is applied all the time, and proc is effect not damage, you could just make every weapon viral and go faction and stuff and will work fine, since viral triples the damage at 10 stacks and even faction with 0.5 damage from viral will still end taking 1.5 damage, it is super okay.
i would recomend find the style you have the most fun

The Heciphron grind is worse than anything that was in place before.
The resources hell is certainly one of the worst parts of Open worlds (and DE design in general) and its good they are simplifying it. (new players dont know about obelisks and mass container smash method of course)
I just wish there was an actual reason to obtain a mech besides being able to do new war and 1 railjack game mode
It can be an absolute lifesaver on (Elite) Deep Archimedian and it's generally useful in free roam zones.

It took me exactly 1 month to craft necramech XD I hated Necrathene
You know you can mine the ores instantly by pointing your laser at all three dots instead of just focus fire for a while? its way faster
You get less per node this way for all but rare gems (which aren't used for Voidrig). I expand on this in my full mining guide.

as said you can get less ore, what i do when bored is to miss every singular node but if there is the chance for extra, i always make perfect.
Is there anything else worthwhile that you get from the previous deimos grind? Feels silly to have done thst grind recently if there was no point
xaku, helmith, panzer, necramechs, trumma was very good when it arrived.

3yrs ago was fun for me honestly. However I agree thst farming them sucks, especially thaumica. Nowadays currently its easier to get from father now, but the material change is iffy for me
