So glad I found your videos about these Chinese excavators. I have 7 acres in Montana and want to do some minor trench excavating for my 20 x 30 cabin plans along with some landscaping projects. Would you recommend? I live in Los Angeles and they have dealers that already have them ranging from $6500 open and $8500 with an enclosed cabin. Thank you for your time and help!

I think the cab is a horrible idea, these get hot and a cab will probably be like being in an oven. You also are not going to run one for so many hrs you need a climate controlled space. My machine would keep you warm on 40 degree day just with the heated seat 😂

@@jakebell1947 I was thinking the same thing that it may be counterproductive. You just saved me $2k!! Thank you!!

@@jakebell1947 I am binge watching your mini excavator videos. You are going such a great job. Want you to know it is very appreciated. Sounds like $6500 is actually a good deal considering I am avoiding having to have it shipped in.

How wide bucket is? There are options of 60cm (2ft), 80(less than 3ft)cm and 1m(little over 3ft) wide. Is it 1m? I’m thinking of 80cm is ok. 60cm too narrow and 1m too hard on boom?

      I have 3 bucket I’ve been using:
8inch: great for trench in soft soil without rock, but not great if rocks are bigger than 6”
14” most useful bucket, good match for machine and general digging
36 inch smooth with tilt. Not for digging. But great for grading, backfilling or cutting an inch or 2 off grade.

@@jakebell1947 14” I got. Works good. I got 8” too but haven’t tried. I’ll dig water pipe trench with 8” because 14” makes too big piles of dirt on grass. 8” probably easyer to backfill. 36” is between 2 option they offer here (32” and 40”) Would you go smaller or larger?
